Ezequiel 1
1 Sucedió en el año treinta, en el cuarto mes, el quinto día del mes, mientras estaba junto al río Quebar, entre los que habían sido hechos prisioneros, que los cielos se abrieron y vi visiones de Dios.
Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
2 El quinto día del mes, en el quinto año después de que el rey Joaquín fue hecho prisionero,
On the fifth day of the month, in the fifth year of the captivity of King Jehoiachin,
3 La palabra del Señor vino a mí; el sacerdote Ezequiel, hijo de Buzi, en la tierra de los caldeos, junto al río Quebar; y la mano del Señor estaba sobre mí allí.
the word of Jehovah came to Ezekiel, the son of Buzi, the priest, in the land of the Chaldaeans, by the river Chebar; and the hand of Jehovah was there upon him.
4 Y, mirando, vi una tormenta de viento que venía del norte, una gran nube con llamas de fuego que se seguían una a la otra, y una luz brillante que la rodeaba y en su centro había algo refulgente como el ámbar.
And I looked, and behold, a stormy wind came from the north, a great cloud, and a mass of fire; and a brightness was round about it, and in the midst of it the appearance of bright brass, in the midst of the fire.
5 Y en el corazón de ello estaban las formas de cuatro seres vivientes. Y su semejanza; tenían la forma de un hombre.
And in the midst of it were the forms of four living creatures. And this was their appearance. They had the form of a man.
6 Y cada uno tenía cuatro caras, y cada uno tenía cuatro alas.
And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
7 Y sus pies eran pies rectos; y los lados inferiores de sus pies eran como los pies de los becerros; y brillaban como bronce pulido.
And their feet were upright; and the sole of their feet was as the sole of a calf's foot; and they sparkled like polished brass.
8 Y tenían las manos de un hombre debajo de sus alas; Los cuatro tenían caras en sus cuatro lados.
And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides, and all four had faces and wings.
9 Fueron sin volverse, cada uno siguió derecho.
Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not about when they went; they went every one straight forward.
10 En cuanto a la forma de sus rostros, tenían el rostro de un hombre, y los cuatro tenían el rostro de un león en el lado derecho, y los cuatro tenían el rostro de un buey a la izquierda, y los cuatro tenían cara de águila.
As for the form of their faces, all four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right side, and all four had the face of an ox on the left side, and all four had also the face of an eagle.
11 Y sus alas estaban separadas en la parte superior; dos de las alas de cada una estaban unidas, y dos cubrían sus cuerpos.
Thus were their faces. And their wings were expanded upward; two wings of every one were joined, and two covered their bodies.
12 Cada uno de ellos fue directo; dondequiera que iba el Espíritu iban ellos; cuando andaban no se volvían.
And they went every one straight forward; whither the spirit was to go, they went, and they turned not about when they went.
13 Y los seres vivos tenían la apariencia como brasas de fuego, o como si las llamas iban una tras otra entre los seres vivos; y el fuego era brillante, y del fuego brotaban truenos.
And the appearance of the living creatures was as coals of fire, burning like torches; and the fire moved about among the living creatures, and shone forth brightly; and out of the fire came forth lightning.
14 Y los seres vivos salieron y regresaron tan rápidamente como un fulgor de relámpago.
And the living creatures ran backward and forward like a flash of lightning.
15 Ahora, mientras miraba a los cuatro seres vivientes, vi una rueda en la tierra, al lado de los seres vivientes, para los cuatro.
Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold, there stood a wheel upon the earth by each of the living creatures, with its four sides.
16 La forma de las ruedas y su trabajo era como un berilo; los cuatro tenían la misma forma y diseño, y eran como una rueda dentro de una rueda.
The appearance of the wheels, and their work, was like that of a chrysolite, and all four had one form, and their appearance and their work was as if a wheel had been within a wheel.
17 Los cuatro avanzaron en línea recta sin volverse hacia un lado.
When they went, they went upon their four sides, and they turned not about when they went.
18 Y vi que tenían ruedas y eran altos e imponentes, y sus bordes, incluso de los cuatro, estaban llenos de ojos alrededor.
As for their felloes, they were high and terrible; and their felloes were full of eyes round about upon all four of them.
19 Y cuando los seres vivientes avanzaban, las ruedas iban a su lado; y cuando los seres vivos fueron levantados de la tierra, las ruedas fueron levantadas.
And when the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
20 Dondequiera que iba él Espíritu, iban ellos; y las ruedas se levantaron a su lado, porque el espíritu de los seres vivos estaba en las ruedas.
Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, whithersoever the spirit was to go; and the wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
21 Cuando ellos continuaron, ellos iban; y cuando ellos se detenían, ellos se detenían; y cuando ellos se levantaron de la tierra, las ruedas se levantaron a su lado; porque el espíritu de los seres vivos estaba en las ruedas.
When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
22 Y sobre las cabezas de los seres vivos había una forma de arco, que parecía hielo, extendido sobre sus cabezas en lo alto.
And over the heads of the living creatures was the appearance of a firmament, like crystal, terrible, spread out over their heads above.
23 Bajo el arco, sus alas eran rectas, una estirada a la otra: cada una tenía dos alas cubriendo sus cuerpos en este lado, y dos cubriendo sus cuerpo por él otro.
And under the firmament were their wings upright, the one toward the other; and every one had two, which covered his body.
24 Y cuando se fueron, el sonido de sus alas fue como el sonido de las grandes aguas a mis oídos, como la voz del Todopoderoso, un sonido como el correr de un ejército; cuando se detuvieron, bajaban sus alas.
And I heard the sound of their wings, as the sound of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, when they went, —a sound like the noise of a host. And when they stood still, they let down their wings.
25 Y desde la parte superior del arco había una voz sobre sus cabezas: cuando se detuvieron, bajaron las alas.
And there was a voice from the firmament, that was over their heads; and they stood still, and let down their wings.
26 Y en la parte superior del arco que estaba sobre sus cabezas tenía la forma de un asiento de rey, como una piedra de zafiro; y en la forma del asiento estaba la forma de un hombre sentado en él en lo alto.
And above the firmament over their heads was an appearance like a sapphire-stone, the form of a throne; and upon the form of the throne there was a form like that of a man above.
27 Y lo vi un color como ámbar, con la mirada de fuego que lo rodeaba y que ascendía desde lo que parecía ser la mitad de su cuerpo; y bajando de lo que parecía ser la mitad de su cuerpo, vi lo que era como el fuego, y había una luz brillante brillando a su alrededor.
And I saw what had the appearance of bright brass, what had the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins and upward. And from the appearance of his loins downward I saw what had the appearance of fire, and its brightness was round about him.
28 Al igual que el arco en la nube en un día de lluvia, así era la luz que brillaba a su alrededor. Y así es como era la gloria del Señor. Y cuando lo vi, me puse boca abajo, y la voz de uno que hablaba llegó a mis oídos.
As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the glory of Jehovah. And when I saw it I fell upon my face, and I heard the voice of one who spoke.
