Ezequiel 8

1 En el sexto año, en el sexto mes, en el quinto día del mes, cuando estaba en mi casa y los hombres responsables de Judá estaban sentados ante mí, la mano del Señor vino sobre mí.

In the sixth year, on the fifth day of the sixth month, I was sitting in my house, and the elders of Judah were sitting before me; and there the hand of the Lord GOD fell upon me.

2 Y mirando, vi una forma como el fuego; desde la mitad de su cuerpo y hacia abajo había fuego; y desde la mitad de su cuerpo brillaba, como un metal refulgente.

Then I looked and saw a figure like that of a man. From His waist down His appearance was like fire, and from His waist up He was as bright as the gleam of amber.

3 Y extendió la forma de una mano y me tomó por el cabello de mi cabeza; y él Espíritu, levantándome entre la tierra y el cielo, me llevó a las visiones de Dios a Jerusalén, al camino hacia la puerta interior que daba al norte; donde estaba el asiento de la imagen del celo, que provoca celos.

He stretched out what looked like a hand and took me by the hair of my head. Then the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and carried me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the north gate of the inner court, where the idol that provokes jealousy was seated.

4 Y allí vi la gloria del Señor, como en la visión que vi en el valle.

And there I saw the glory of the God of Israel, like the vision I had seen in the plain.

5 Entonces me dijo: Hijo de hombre, ahora, levanta tus ojos en dirección al norte; y al mirar en dirección al norte, al norte de la puerta del altar, vi esta imagen de celo por el camino hacia adentro.

“Son of man,” He said to me, “now lift up your eyes to the north.” So I lifted up my eyes to the north, and in the entrance north of the Altar Gate I saw this idol of jealousy.

6 Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, ¿ves lo que están haciendo? Incluso las cosas muy repugnantes que los hijos de Israel están haciendo aquí, haciéndome alejarme de mi lugar santo; Pero verás otras cosas más repugnantes.

“Son of man,” He said to me, “do you see what they are doing—the great abominations that the house of Israel is committing—to drive Me far from My sanctuary? Yet you will see even greater abominations.”

7 Y me llevó a la puerta del atrio; y mirando, vi un agujero en la pared.

Then He brought me to the entrance to the court, and I looked and saw a hole in the wall.

8 Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, haz un agujero en la pared; y después de hacer un agujero en la pared, vi una puerta.

“Son of man,” He told me, “dig through the wall.” So I dug through the wall and discovered a doorway.

9 Y él me dijo: Entra y ve las cosas malvadas y repugnantes que están haciendo aquí.

Then He said to me, “Go in and see the wicked abominations they are committing here.”

10 Así que entré y vi; y allí se representaba en la pared todo tipo de seres vivos que se posan sobre la tierra, y bestias inmundas, y todas las imágenes de los hijos de Israel pintadas alrededor.

So I went in and looked, and engraved all around the wall was every kind of crawling creature and detestable beast, along with all the idols of the house of Israel.

11 Y delante de ellos, setenta de los hombres responsables de los hijos de Israel tomaron sus lugares, cada uno con un recipiente para quemar perfumes en su mano, y en medio de ellos estaba Jaazania, el hijo de Safán; y una nube de humo salió del incienso ardiente.

Before them stood seventy elders of the house of Israel, with Jaazaniah son of Shaphan standing among them. Each had a censer in his hand, and a fragrant cloud of incense was rising.

12 Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, ¿has visto lo que hacen los hombres responsables de los hijos de Israel en la oscuridad, cada uno en su habitación de imágenes representadas? porque dicen: Él Señor no nos ve; El Señor se ha ido de la tierra.

“Son of man,” He said to me, “do you see what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the darkness, each at the shrine of his own idol? For they are saying, ‘The LORD does not see us; the LORD has forsaken the land.’”

13 Entonces él me dijo: Verás aún más cosas asquerosas que ellos hacen.

Again, He told me, “You will see them committing even greater abominations.”

14 Luego me llevó a la puerta del camino hacia la casa del Señor mirando hacia el norte; Y allí las mujeres estaban sentadas llorando a Tamuz.

Then He brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the LORD, and I saw women sitting there, weeping for Tammuz.

15 Y me dijo: ¿Has visto esto, oh hijo de hombre? Verás aún más cosas asquerosas que estas.

“Son of man,” He said to me, “do you see this? Yet you will see even greater abominations than these.”

16 Y me llevó a la plaza interior de la casa del Señor, y en la puerta del Templo del Señor, entre el camino cubierto y el altar, había unos veinticinco hombres de espaldas al Templo del Señor y sus rostros se volvieron al oriente; y adoraban al sol, volviéndose al oriente.

So He brought me to the inner court of the house of the LORD, and there at the entrance to the temple of the LORD, between the portico and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs to the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east; and they were bowing to the east in worship of the sun.

17 Entonces me dijo: ¿Has visto esto, oh hijo de hombre? ¿Es algo ligero para los hijos de Judá que hagan las cosas repugnantes que están haciendo aquí? porque han llenado la tierra de violencia, que me enoja una y otra vez; y mira, ponen la rama en su nariz.

“Son of man,” He said to me, “do you see this? Is it not enough for the house of Judah to commit the abominations they are practicing here, that they must also fill the land with violence and continually provoke Me to anger? Look, they are even putting the branch to their nose!

18 Por esta razón soltaré mi ira: Mi ojo no tendrá misericordia, y no tendré piedad; gritarán a mi oído y no los oiré.

Therefore I will respond with wrath. I will not look on them with pity, nor will I spare them. Although they shout loudly in My ears, I will not listen to them.”
