Ezequiel 6
1 Y vino a mí la palabra del Señor, diciendo:
A message from the Lord came to me that said,
2 Hijo de hombre, vuélve tu rostro a los montes de Israel, y sé profeta para ellos, y di:
“Son of man, face towards of Israel's mountains and prophesy against them.
3 Ustedes, montañas de Israel, escuchen las palabras del Señor: esto es lo que el Señor ha dicho a las montañas y los montes, a los arroyos de agua y los valles: He aquí, yo, incluso yo, les envío una espada para la destrucción de tus lugares altos.
Tell them: Mountains of Israel, listen to the message from the Lord God! This is what the Lord God says to the mountains and the hills, to the gorges and the valleys: I'm going to attack you and destroy your high places.
4 Y tus altares serán destruidos, y tus imágenes del sol serán destruidas; y tus hombres muertos serán colocados delante de tus imágenes.
Your pagan altars will be torn down, and your incense altars will be smashed to pieces. I will kill your idol worshipers right in front of their idols.
5 Y pondré los cadáveres de los hijos de Israel delante de sus imágenes, enviando sus huesos en todas las direcciones alrededor de tus altares.
I will put the dead bodies of you Israelites in front of your idols and scatter your bones around your altars.
6 En todos tus lugares que habiten, las ciudades se convertirán en muros derribados, y los lugares altos se desecharán; de modo que sus altares puedan romperse y destruirse, y sus imágenes se rompan y se terminen, y para que sus imágenes del sol se puedan cortar y sus obras sean desechadas.
Everywhere you live, the towns will be turned into rubble and the high places torn down. Your altars will be demolished and defiled. Your idols will be smashed and completely destroyed. Your incense altars will be knocked down, and all that you made will be ruined.
7 Y los muertos caerán entre ustedes, y sabrán que yo soy el Señor.
People will be killed all throughout your country. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
8 Pero aún así, mantendré un remanente a salvo de la espada entre las naciones, cuando seas enviado vagando entre los países.
However, I will let some of you survive and scatter you among the different nations and countries.
9 Y aquellos de ustedes que están a salvo me tendrán en cuenta entre las naciones a las que fueron llevados como prisioneros, porque yo me quebranté a causa de su corazón fornicario que se apartó de mí, y en sus ojos que fueron dirigidos a sus falsos dioses, y estarán llenos de odio por sí mismos a causa de las cosas malas que han hecho en todas sus formas repugnantes.
Once they are they are there as prisoners in the nations, then the survivors will remember me. They will realize how sad they made me by their spiritual adultery as they deserted me with their eyes full of lust as they worshiped idols. They will hate themselves for the evil things they did, for all their disgusting sins.
10 Y sabrán de que yo soy el Señor: no por nada dije que les haría esta maldad.
Then they will know that I am the Lord, and that I was not pretending when I warned them about bringing this disaster upon them.
11 Esto es lo que el Señor ha dicho: Da golpes con tu mano, golpeando con tu pie, y di: ¡Oh dolor! por todos los caminos malvados y repugnantes de los hijos de Israel: porque la muerte los alcanzará con la espada y por la necesidad de alimento y por enfermedad.
This is what the Lord God says: Hit yourself with your hands, stomp your feet, and shout out ‘Oh no!’ Do this because of all the terrible wickedness of the people of Israel. They are going to die by the sword and famine and disease.
12 El que está lejos, morirá por enfermedad; el que está cerca será puesto a cuchillo; el que está encerrado morirá por necesidad de alimento; Y daré pleno efecto a mi furor contra ellos.
Those living far away will die from of disease, those who are close by will be killed by the sword, and those who are left will die of starvation. This is how I will express my anger towards them.
13 Y sabrán de que yo soy el Señor, cuando sus hombres muertos se estiren entre sus imágenes alrededor de sus altares en cada colina alta, en todas las cimas de las montañas, y debajo de cada árbol ramificado, y debajo de cada espeso roble, los lugares donde quemaban incienso a todas sus imágenes.
Then you will know that I am the Lord—when the idol worshipers lie dead among their idols and altars on the top of every hill and mountain, and under every green tree and large oak. These were the pagan shrines where they offered sweet-smelling incense to all their idols.
14 Y extenderé mi mano contra ellos, desechando la tierra desolada, haciéndola más desolada que él desierto hasta Diblat; en todas sus poblaciones y sabran de que yo soy Dios.
I'm going to lift up my hand to punish them. In every place they live I will make their country a wasteland, all the way from the desert in the south to Diblah in the north. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”
