Ezequiel 37
1 La mano del Señor había estado sobre mí, y él me sacó en el espíritu del Señor y me puso en medio del valle; y estaba lleno de huesos;
The hand of the Lord was set upon me, and he led me away in the Spirit of the Lord, and he released me in the midst of a plain which was full of bones.
2 Y me hizo pasar por allí, y vi que había un gran número de ellos que cubrían el valle, y estaban muy secos.
And he led me around, through them, on every side. Now they were very many upon the face of the plain, and they were exceedingly dry.
3 Y él me dijo: Hijo de hombre, ¿es posible que estos huesos cobren vida? Y respondí, y dije: Tú sabes, Señor Dios.
And he said to me, “Son of man, do you think that these bones will live?” And I said, “O Lord God, you know.”
4 Y otra vez me dijo: profetiza a estos huesos, y diles: Oh huesos secos, escuchen la palabra del Señor.
And he said to me, “Prophesy about these bones. And you shall say to them: Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord!
5 Esto es lo que el Señor ha dicho a estos huesos: Mira, te haré respirar para que vengas a la vida;
Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will send spirit into you, and you shall live.
6 Y pondré músculos sobre ti y haré que la carne te toque, y pondré piel sobre ti, y soplaré en ti, para que puedas tener vida; y sabrás que yo soy el Señor.
And I will set sinews upon you, and I will cause flesh to grow over you, and I will extend skin over you. And I will give you spirit, and you shall live. And you shall know that I am the Lord.”
7 Así que di la palabra como se me ordenó; y ante mis palabras hubo un temblor de la tierra, y los huesos se unieron, hueso con hueso.
And I prophesied, just as he had instructed me. But a noise occurred, as I was prophesying, and behold: a commotion. And the bones joined together, each one at its joint.
8 Y mirando, vi que había músculos en ellos y que surgió carne, y que estaban cubiertos de piel; pero no había aliento de vida en ellos.
And I saw, and behold: sinews and flesh rose up over them; and skin was extended over them. But they had no spirit within them.
9 Y él me dijo: Profetiza al viento, profetiza, hijo de hombre, y di al viento: El Señor ha dicho: Ven, de los cuatro vientos, oh viento, respira sobre estos muertos para que vengan a la vida.
And he said to me: “Prophesy to the spirit! Prophesy, O son of man, and you shall say to the spirit: Thus says the Lord God: Approach, O spirit, from the four winds, and blow across these ones who were slain, and revive them.”
10 Y di la palabra a sus órdenes, y entré aliento, y ellos cobraron vida y se levantaron, un ejército muy grande.
And I prophesied, just as he had instructed me. And spirit entered into them, and they lived. And they stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.
11 Entonces me dijo: Hijo de hombre, estos huesos son todos los hijos de Israel; y mira, están diciendo: nuestros huesos se han secado, nuestra esperanza se ha ido, estamos completamente destruidos.
And he said to me: “Son of man: All these bones are the house of Israel. They say: ‘Our bones are dried out, and our hope has perished, and we have been cut off.’
12 Por esta causa profetiza a ellos, y di: Esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor Dios: Mira, estoy abriendo las tumbas de tus muertos, y los haré salir de su tumba, oh mi pueblo; y te llevaré a la tierra de Israel.
Because of this, prophesy, and you shall say to them: Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will open your tombs, and I will lead you away from your sepulchers, O my people. And I will lead you into the land of Israel.
13 Y sabrán que yo soy el Señor abriendo los lugares de descanso de tus muertos y haciéndote salir de tus tumbas, pueblo mío.
And you shall know that I am the Lord, when I will have opened your sepulchers, and when I will have led you away from your tombs, O my people.
14 Y pondré mi espíritu en ti para que vengas a la vida, y te dé un descanso en tu tierra; y sabrán que yo, el Señor, lo he dicho y lo he hecho, dice El Señor.
And I will place my Spirit within you, and you shall live. And I will cause you to rest upon your own soil. And you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken and acted, says the Lord God.”
15 Y vino a mí la palabra del Señor, diciendo:
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
16 Y tú, hijo de hombre, toma un palo, escribiendo sobre él, por Judá y por los hijos de Israel que están en su compañía; luego toma otro palo, escribiendo en él, por José, el palo de Efraín, y todos los hijos de Israel que están en su compañía.
“And as for you, son of man, take up a piece of wood for yourself, and write upon it: ‘For Judah, and for the sons of Israel, his companions.’ And take up another piece of wood, and write upon it: ‘For Joseph, the wood of Ephraim, and for the entire house of Israel, and for his companions.’
17 Luego, juntándolos unos a otros, hazlos un palo, para que sean uno en tu mano.
And join these, one to the other, for yourself, as one piece of wood. And they will be united in your hand.
18 Y cuando los hijos de tu pueblo te digan: ¿No nos dejarás en claro qué tienen que ver estas cosas con nosotros?
Then, when the sons of your people will speak to you, saying: ‘Will you not tell us what you intend by this?’
19 Entonces diles: Esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor: Mira, estoy tomando el palo de José, que está en la mano de Efraín, y las tribus de Israel que están en su compañía; y lo pondré en el palo de Judá y los haré un palo, y serán uno en mi mano.
you shall say to them: Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will take up the wood of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel, which are joined to him, and I will put them together with the wood of Judah, and I will make them one piece of wood. And they will be one in his hand.
20 Y los palos con tu escritura en ellos estarán en tu mano delante de sus ojos.
Then the pieces of wood, on which you have written, will be in your hand, before their eyes.
21 Y diles: Estas son las palabras del Señor: Mira, estoy llevando a los hijos de Israel de entre las naciones a las que han ido, y los reuniremos por todos lados, y los llevaré a su tierra.
And you shall say to them: Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will take up the sons of Israel, from the midst of the nations to which they have gone, and I will gather them together on every side, and I will lead them onto their own soil.
22 Y los haré una nación en la tierra, en las montañas de Israel; y un rey será rey sobre todos ellos, y ya no serán dos naciones, y ya no serán divididos en dos reinos.
And I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel, and one king will be ruler over all. And they will no longer be two nations, nor will they be divided any more into two kingdoms.
23 Y ya no se volverán inmundos con sus imágenes o con sus cosas odiadas o con ninguno de sus pecados; pero les daré la salvación de todo lo que hayan rechazado, en el cual hayan hecho el mal, y los limpiaré; y ellos serán para mí un pueblo, y yo seré para ellos un Dios.
And they will no longer be defiled by their idols, and by their abominations, and by all their iniquities. And I will save them, out of all the settlements in which they have sinned, and I will cleanse them. And they will be my people, and I will be their God.
24 Y mi siervo David será rey sobre ellos; y todos tendrán un pastor y serán guiados por mis órdenes y mantendrán mis reglas y las cumplirán.
And my servant David shall be the king over them, and they shall have one shepherd. They shall walk in my judgments, and they shall keep my commandments, and they shall do them.
25 Y vivirán en la tierra que di a Jacob, mi siervo, en la cual vivían tus padres; y seguirán viviendo allí, ellos y sus hijos y los hijos de sus hijos, para siempre; y David, mi siervo, será su gobernante para siempre.
And they shall live upon the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, in which your fathers lived. And they shall live upon it, they and their sons, and the sons of their sons, even for all time. And David, my servant, shall be their leader, in perpetuity.
26 Y haré un pacto de paz con ellos; será un pacto eterno con ellos; y tendré misericordia de ellos, y los multiplicaré, y pondré mi lugar santo entre ellos para siempre.
And I will strike a covenant of peace with them. This will be an everlasting covenant for them. And I will establish them, and multiply them. And I will set my sanctuary in their midst, unceasingly.
27 Y mi casa estará sobre ellos; y yo seré para ellos Dios Supremo, y ellos serán para mí un pueblo.
And my tabernacle shall be among them. And I will be their God, and they will be my people.
28 Y las naciones sabrán que yo, que hago a Israel santo, soy el Señor, cuando mi santuarios esté entre ellos para siempre.
And the Gentiles shall know that I am the Lord, the Sanctifier of Israel, when my sanctuary will be in their midst, forever.”
