Ezequiel 34

1 Y vino a mí la palabra del Señor, diciendo:

The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

2 Hijo de hombre, profetiza contra los pastores del rebaño de Israel, y diles: ¡Oh pastores de las ovejas! Esta es la palabra del Señor Dios: ¡Hay una maldición sobre los pastores del rebaño de Israel que toman la comida para sí mismos! ¿No es correcto que los pastores den la comida a las ovejas?

"Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and tell them, even to the shepherds, 'Thus says the LORD: "Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves. Shouldn't the shepherds feed the sheep?

3 Toman la leche y se visten con la lana, matas a las bestias gordas, pero no le das comida al rebaño.

You eat the fat, and you clothe yourself with the wool, you kill the fatlings; but you do not feed the sheep.

4 No has restaurado al débil, ni curado al que estaba enfermo; no has vendado al que tenía una pata rota; o recuperado al que se había extraviado; ni buscado al que se ha perdido; pero te has enseñoreado con dureza y crueldad.

You haven't strengthened the diseased, neither have you healed that which was sick, neither have you bound up that which was broken, neither have you brought back that which was driven away, neither have you sought that which was lost; but with force and with rigor you have ruled over them.

5 Y vagaban en todas direcciones porque no había pastor, y se convirtieron en alimento para todas las bestias del campo.

They were scattered, because there was no shepherd; and they became food to all the animals of the field.

6 Y salieron de mi camino mis ovejas, vagando por todas las montañas y en todo collado alto; mis ovejas iban de aquí para allá sobre toda la faz de la tierra; y nadie se preocupó por ellos ni fue en busca de ellos.

My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill: yes, my sheep were scattered on all the surface of the earth; and there was none who searched or sought."'

7 Por esta causa, oh pastores del rebaño, escuchen la palabra del Señor:

"'"Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:

8 Por mi vida, dice el Señor Dios, en verdad, porque mis ovejas han sido presa, y mis ovejas se convirtieron en alimento para todas las bestias del campo, porque no había un pastor, y mis pastores no fueron en busca de las ovejas, pero los pastores tomaron comida para sí mismos y no dieron comida a mis ovejas;

'As I live,' says the LORD, 'surely because my sheep became a prey, and my sheep became food to all the animals of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my sheep, but the shepherds fed themselves, and didn't feed my sheep';

9 Por esta razón, oh pastores, escuchen la palabra del Señor;

therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:

10 Esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor Dios: mira que estoy en contra de los pastores del rebaño, y haré una búsqueda y veré lo que han hecho con mis ovejas, y no los dejaré que apacienten mis ovejas; y los pastores ya no tendrán comida para ellos mismos; Sacaré mis ovejas de sus bocas para que no sean alimento para ellos.

Thus says the LORD: 'Look, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my sheep at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the sheep; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; and I will deliver my sheep from their mouth, that they may not be food for them.'"

11 Porque esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor Dios: En verdad, yo, incluso yo, iré en busca de mis ovejas y las cuidaré.

"'For thus says the LORD: "Look, I myself, even I, will search for my sheep, and will seek them out.

12 Como el guardián reconoce su rebaño cuando está entre sus ovejas errantes, yo iré a buscar a mis ovejas y las sacaré de todos los lugares a donde fueron esparcidas en el día de la nube tormentosa.

As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered abroad, so will I seek out my sheep; and I will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

13 Y los sacaré de entre los pueblos, los juntaré de los países y los llevaré a su tierra; y les daré comida en las montañas de Israel junto a los arroyos de agua y donde los hombres vivan en el país.

I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited places of the country.

14 Les daré buena tierra de pasto para su alimento, y su lugar seguro serán las montañas del lugar alto de Israel; allí descansarán en un buen pastizal, y apacentaran en los buenos pastos en las montañas de Israel.

I will feed them with good pasture; and on the mountains of the height of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie down in a good fold; and on fat pasture shall they feed on the mountains of Israel.

15 Yo mismo daré alimento a mi rebaño, y les daré descanso, dice el Señor Dios.

I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will cause them to lie down," says the LORD.

16 Iré en busca de las que se había perdido, recuperaré las que se había desviado, vendaré las que estaban fracturadas, y daré fuerza a las que estaba enfermas; más a la gorda y fuerte las destruiré; Les daré por su comida el castigo que es suyo por derecho.

"I will seek that which was lost, and will bring back that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but the fat and the strong I will destroy; I will feed them in justice."

17 Y en cuanto a ti, oh mi rebaño, dice el Señor, en verdad, seré juez entre oveja y oveja, entre carneros y machos cabríos.

"'As for you, O my flock, thus says the LORD: "Look, I judge between sheep and sheep, the rams and the male goats.

18 ¿Te parece poco que hayas tomado tu comida en una buena tierra de pastos mientras que el resto de tu pasto lo pisoteas debajo de tus pies? ¿Y que después de beber de aguas cristalinas ensucias el resto de las aguas con tus pies?

Does it seem a small thing to you to have fed on the good pasture, but you must tread down with your feet the residue of your pasture? And to have drunk of the clear waters, but you must foul the residue with your feet?

19 Y en cuanto a mis ovejas, su alimento es la hierba que ha sido pisoteada por sus pies, y su bebida el agua que ha sido ensuciada por sus pies.

As for my sheep, they eat that which you have trodden with your feet, and they drink that which you have fouled with your feet."

20 Por esta razón, el Señor Dios les ha dicho: En verdad, yo, yo, seré juez entre la oveja gorda y la oveja delgada.

"'Therefore thus says the LORD to them: "Look, I, even I, will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.

21 Porque has estado empujando con el costado y los cuernos, empujando al enfermo, y con tus cuernos hasta que fueron expulsados en todas direcciones;

Because you thrust with side and with shoulder, and push all the diseased with your horns, until you have scattered them abroad;

22 Salvaré a mi rebaño, y ya no serán presa, y juzgaré entre ovejas y ovejas.

therefore I will save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between sheep and sheep.

23 Y pondré sobre ellos un pastor, y él les dará comida, mi siervo David; Él les dará comida y las cuidará. Él será su pastor.

I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

24 Y yo, el Señor, seré su Dios y mi siervo David su gobernante; Yo, el Señor, lo he dicho.

I, the LORD, will be their God, and my servant David prince among them;" I, the LORD, have spoken it.

25 Y haré con ellos un pacto de paz, y pondré fin a las bestias malvadas en toda la tierra; y vivirán a salvo en los pastizales y durmiendo en el bosque.

"'I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause evil animals to cease out of the land; and they shall dwell securely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.

26 Y haré de ellos, alrededor de mi monte una bendición, y daré la lluvia en el momento adecuado, y haré que la lluvia baje en el momento adecuado; Habrá lluvias de bendición.

I will make them and the places around my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in its season; there shall be showers of blessing.

27 Y el árbol del campo dará su fruto y la tierra dará su crecimiento, y estarán a salvo en su tierra; y sabrán que yo soy el Señor, cuando les haya roto el yugo y les haya dado la salvación de las manos de quienes los hicieron siervos.

The tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the earth shall yield its increase, and they shall be secure in their land; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bars of their yoke, and have delivered them out of the hand of those who made slaves of them.

28 Y sus bienes ya no serán tomados por las naciones, y no volverán a ser alimento para las bestias de la tierra; pero vivirán a salvo y nadie les causará temor.

They shall no more be a prey to the nations, neither shall the animals of the earth devour them; but they shall dwell securely, and none shall make them afraid.

29 Y les daré lugares de plantación famosos, y ya no pasarán hambrunas, ni serán insultados por las naciones.

I will raise up to them a plantation for renown, and they shall be no more consumed with famine in the land, neither bear the shame of the nations any more.

30 Y sabrán que yo, el Señor, su Dios, estoy con ellos, y que ellos, los hijos de Israel, son mi pueblo, dice el Señor.

They shall know that I, the LORD, their God am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people," says the LORD.

31 Y ustedes son mis ovejas, las ovejas de mis pastizales, y yo soy su Dios, declara el Señor Dios.

"You my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are men, and I am your God," says the LORD.'"
