Ezequiel 30

1 La palabra del Señor vino de nuevo a mí, diciendo:

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

2 Hijo de hombre, profetiza y di: Estas son las palabras del Señor: ¡Da un grito, Ajá, por el día!

“Son of man, prophesy and say: Thus says the Lord God: Wail: ‘Woe, woe to the day!’

3 Porque el día está cerca, el día del Señor está cerca, el día de nubarrones; será la hora de las naciones.

For the day is near, and the day of the Lord is approaching! It is a day of gloom; it will be the time of the Gentiles.

4 Y vendrá una espada sobre Egipto, y habrá un dolor cruel en Etiopía, cuando caigan a espada en Egipto; y le quitarán sus riquezas, y sus bases serán destruidas.

And the sword will come to Egypt. And there will be dread in Ethiopia, when the wounded will have fallen in Egypt, and its multitude will have been taken away, and its foundations will have been destroyed.

5 Etiopía, Put, Lud, Libia, Arabia y los pueblos aliados de la tierra de Lidia serán asesinados con ellos por la espada.

Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the rest of the common people, and Chub, and the sons of the land of the covenant, will fall with them by the sword.

6 Esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor: Los partidarios de Egipto sufrirán una caída, y el orgullo de su poder; de Migdol a Sevene, serán llevados a la espada, dice el Señor Dios.

Thus says the Lord God: And those who prop up Egypt will fall, and the arrogance of its reign will be brought down. They will fall in it by the sword, before the tower of Syene, says the Lord, the God of hosts.

7 Y será destruida entre los países que han sido destruidos, y sus ciudades estarán entre las ciudades que no están habitadas.

And they will be scattered into the midst of desolate lands, and its cities will be in the midst of cities that have been deserted.

8 Y sabrán que yo soy Dios, cuando haya puesto un fuego en Egipto y todos sus ayudantes Sean destruidos.

And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I will have brought a fire into Egypt, and when all its helpers will have been worn away.

9 En ese día los hombres saldrán rápidamente en barcos para dar la noticia, causando temor a la confiada Etiopía; y un dolor amargo vendrá sobre ellos como en el día de Egipto; vean, que ya viene.

In that day, messengers will go forth from my face in Greek warships, in order to crush the confidence of Ethiopia. And there will be dread among them in the day of Egypt; for without doubt, it will happen.

10 Esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor Dios: Acabaré con gran número del pueblo de Egipto de la mano de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia.

Thus says the Lord God: By the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, I will cause the multitude of Egypt to cease.

11 El y el pueblo con él, la más violenta entre las naciones, serán enviados para la destrucción de la tierra; se sacarán sus espadas contra Egipto y la tierra estará llena de muertos.

He, and his people with him, the strongest of the Gentiles, will be brought forth in order to destroy the land. And they will draw their swords over Egypt. And they will fill the land with the slain.

12 Y secaré los arroyos del Nilo, y entregaré la tierra en manos de hombres malvados, haciendo que la tierra y todo lo que hay en ella sean desperdiciados por manos de hombres de un país extranjero; Yo, el Señor, he dicho eso.

And I will cause the channels of the rivers to dry up. And I will deliver the land into the hand of the most wicked. And by the hands of foreigners, I will utterly destroy the land and its plenitude. I, the Lord, have spoken.

13 Esto es lo que el Señor ha dicho: Además de esto, entregaré las imágenes a la destrucción y pondré fin a los dioses falsos en Noph; nunca más habrá un gobernante en la tierra de Egipto, y pondré temor en la tierra de Egipto.

Thus says the Lord God: And I will destroy the graven images, and I will cause the idols of Memphis to cease. And there will no longer be a commander of the land of Egypt. And I will send terror upon the land of Egypt.

14 Y haré de Pathros ruinas, y pondré fuego en Zoán, y enviaré mis castigos a Tebas.

And I will destroy the land of Pathros, and I will send a fire upon Tahpanhes, and I will execute judgments in Alexandria.

15 Voy a soltar mi ira sobre Sin, la fortaleza de Egipto, destruiré la multitud de Tebas.

And I will pour out my indignation upon Pelusium, the strength of Egypt, and I will kill the multitude of Alexandria.

16 Y pondré fuego en Egipto; Sin se torcerá de dolor, y No será destruida, Menfis tendrá angustia continúa.

And I will send a fire upon Egypt. Pelusium will be in pain, like a woman giving birth. And Alexandria will be utterly destroyed. And in Memphis, there will be anguish every day.

17 Los jóvenes de On y Pi-beset serán juzgados; y estos pueblos serán llevados prisioneros.

The young men of Heliopolis and Pibeseth will fall by the sword, and the young women will be led into captivity.

18 Y en Tafnes el día se tornará oscuro, cuando se rompa el yugo de Egipto, y el orgullo de su poder llegue a su fin; en cuanto a ella, será cubierta con una nube, y sus hijas serán llevadas cautivas.

And in Tahpanhes, the day will grow black, when, in that place, I will break the scepters of Egypt. And the arrogance of her authority will fail within her; a gloom will cover her. Then her daughters will be led into captivity.

19 Y enviaré mis castigos a Egipto, y sabrán que yo soy el Señor.

And I will execute judgments in Egypt. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”

20 Ahora en el año undécimo, en el primer mes, en el séptimo día del mes, vino a mí la palabra del Señor, diciendo:

And it happened that, in the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

21 Hijo de hombre, el brazo de Faraón, rey de Egipto, ha sido roto por mí, y no ha sido vendado para curarlo, ni ligado con vendas para hacerlo fuerte para empuñar la espada.

“Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. And behold, it has not been wrapped, so that it might be restored to health; it has not been bound with cloths, or bandaged with linen, so that, having recovered strength, it would be able to hold the sword.

22 Por esto ha dicho el Señor Dios: Mira, yo estoy contra Faraón, rey de Egipto, y por mí se romperá su brazo fuerte y la fracturada; y haré que la espada salga de su mano.

Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and I will shatter his strong arm, which has already been broken. And I will cast the sword away from his hand.

23 Y esparciré a los egipcios entre las naciones y serán esparcidos entre los países.

And I will disperse Egypt among the nations, and I will scatter them among the lands.

24 Y haré fuertes las armas del rey de Babilonia, y pondré mi espada en su mano; pero los brazos de Faraón se romperán, y él dará gritos de dolor ante él como los gritos de un hombre herido de muerte.

And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon. And I will put my sword into his hand. And I will break the arms of Pharaoh. And they will groan acutely, when they are slain before his face.

25 Y haré fuertes las armas del rey de Babilonia, y las armas de Faraón serán colgadas; y sabrán que yo soy el Señor, cuando ponga mi espada en manos del rey de Babilonia y la extienda contra la tierra de Egipto.

And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon. And the arms of Pharaoh will fall. And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I will have given my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and when he will have extended it over the land of Egypt.

26 Y esparciré a los egipcios entre las naciones y serán esparcidos entre los países; y sabrán que yo soy el Señor.

And I will disperse Egypt among the nations, and I will scatter them among the lands. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
