Ezequiel 3

1 Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, toma este rollo para tu comida, y ve y di mis palabras a los hijos de Israel.

Then said he unto me, Son of man What thou findest, eat, —eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.

2 Y al abrir mi boca, me hizo comer el rollo como alimento.

So I opened my mouth, —and he caused me to eat this roll.

3 Y él me dijo: Hijo de hombre, que tu estómago lo coma y que tus entrañas se llenen de este rollo que te doy. Luego lo tomé, y fue dulce como la miel en mi boca.

Then said he unto me Son of man. Thy belly, cause thou to eat and thy bowels, fill thou with this roll which I am giving unto thee. So I did eat, and it became in my mouth, as honey for sweetness.

4 Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, ve ahora a los hijos de Israel, y diles mis palabras.

Then said he unto me, — Son of man Go get thee unto the house of Israel, and thou shalt speak with my words, unto them.

5 Porque no eres enviado a un pueblo cuyo idioma es extraño y cuyo lenguaje es difícil de entender, sino a los hijos de Israel;

For not unto a people deep of lip and heavy of tongue, art thou sent —[but] unto the house of Israel:

6 No a un número de personas cuyo idioma es extraño y cuyo lenguaje es difícil cuyas palabras no son claras para ustedes. Verdaderamente, si te envíara a ellos, ellos te escucharían.

not unto many peoples deep of lip and heavy of tongue, whose words thou couldst not understand, —surely if unto them I had sent thee, they would have hearkened unto thee.

7 Pero los hijos de Israel no te oirán; porque no les importa oírme a mí, porque todos los hijos de Israel son tercos y de duro corazón.

But the house of Israel will not be willing to hearken unto thee, for they are not willing to hearken unto me, —for all the house of Israel are bold of forehead and hard of heart.

8 Mira, he endurecido tu rostro como sus rostros, y te hecho terco como ellos.

Lo! I have made thy face bold like as their faces, and thy forehead bold like as their forehead.

9 Como un diamante más duro que una roca, te he hecho la frente; no tengas miedo de ellos y no te dejes vencer por su apariencia, porque son personas que son rebeldes.

As an adamant harder than flint, have I made thy forehead, —thou shalt not fear them neither shalt thou be dismayed at their faces, For a perverse house, they are!

10 Entonces me dijo: Hijo de hombre, toma en tu corazón todas las palabras que te voy a decir, y escúchalas atentamente.

Then said he unto me, — Son of man. All my words which I shall speak unto thee, receive thou into thy heart and in thine ears, hear thou:

11 Ahora ve a los que han sido llevados prisioneros, a los hijos de tu pueblo, y diles: Esto es lo que el Señor ha dicho; Si dan oído o si no lo hacen.

then go get thee unto them of the captivity, unto the sons of thy people, and thou shalt speak unto them and say unto them, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, whether they will hear or whether they will forbear.

12 Entonces fui levantado por el viento, y en mi espalda el sonido de una gran estruendo que decía: Bendita sea la Gloria del Señor desde su lugar.

Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me the sound of a great rushing, — Blessed be the glory of Yahweh. From his place!

13 Y se escuchó el sonido de las alas de los seres vivos tocándose unos a otros, y el sonido de las ruedas a su lado, el sonido de un gran terremoto.

Yea the sound of the wings of the living ones, gently touching each other, and the sound of the wheels, along with them, even the sound of a great rushing.

14 Y el viento, me levanto, me llevó, y fui con amargura y enojo de mi espíritu, y la mano del Señor me llevo fuerte.

So the Spirit lifted me up, and took me away, —and I went bitterly, in the rage of my spirit, but the hand of Yahweh upon me was strong.

15 Luego, llegué a los que habían sido llevados como prisioneros, que estaban en Telabib, junto al río Quebar, y me senté entre ellos lleno de asombro durante siete días.

Thus came I unto them of the captivity, at Tel-abib. who were dwelling towards he river Chebar and I dwelt where They were dwelling; yea I dwelt there seven days, stunned in their midst,

16 Y al cabo de siete días, vino a mí la palabra del Señor, diciendo:

And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of Yahweh came unto me saying

17 Hijo de hombre, te he hecho vigilante para los hijos de Israel; escucha la palabra de mi boca y dales a ellos una palabra, para que estén advertidos.

Son of man, A watchman, have I appointed thee to the house of Israel, —and thou shalt hear, at my mouth a message, and shalt warn them from me.

18 Cuando le diga al malvado, la muerte será tu destino; y no le dices nada de eso y no le hablas para aclarar a los malhechores el peligro de su mal camino, para que él esté a salvo; Ese mismo hombre malo morirá en su maldad; Pero te haré responsable de su sangre.

When I say to the lawless man— Thou shalt surely die, and thou hast not given him warning, neither hast spoken to warn the lawless man from his lawless way, to save himself alive the same lawless man in his iniquity shall die, but his blood, at thy hand, will I require.

19 Pero si le adviertes al malvado de su peligro, y él no se aleja de su pecado ni de su mal camino, la muerte lo alcanzará en su maldad; Pero tu vida estará a salvo.

Whereas when thou hast warned a lawless man, and he hath not turned from his lawlessness and from his lawless way he in his iniquity shall die, but Thou hast delivered thine own soul.

20 Nuevamente, cuando un hombre justo, que se aparta de su justicia, hace el mal y yo pongo una causa de caer en su camino, la muerte lo alcanzará; porque no le has dado ninguna palabra de su peligro, la muerte lo alcanzará a él en su maldad, y no habrá memoria de los actos rectos que ha hecho; Pero te haré responsable de su sangre.

And when a righteous man hath turned from his righteousness, and committed perversity, and I have suffered a stumbling- block to be laid before him he shall die, —though thou hast not warned him, in his sin, shall he die, neither shall be remembered his righteous deeds which he hath done, but his blood, at thy hand will I require;

21 Pero si le dices al hombre justo que no debe hacer el mal, ciertamente conservará su vida porque tomó nota de tu palabra; y tu vida estará a salvo.

whereas when Thou hast warned a righteous man. That a righteous man must not sin and he hath not sinned, he shall surely live in that he took warning, and thou hast delivered thine own soul.

22 Y la mano del Señor estaba sobre mí allí; y él dijo: Levántate, sal al valle y allí hablaré contigo.

Then came upon me there the hand of Yahweh, —and he said unto me, Arise go forth into the valley, and there, will I speak with thee.

23 Entonces me levanté y salí al valle; y vi la gloria del Señor descansando allí como la había visto junto al río Quebar; y caí al suelo.

So I arose and went forth into the valley, and lo! there the glory of Yahweh, standing, like the glory which I saw by the river Chebar, -and I fell upon my face.

24 Entonces el espíritu entró en mí y me puso sobre mis pies; y él habló conmigo y me dijo: Ve y mantente callado dentro de tu casa.

Then the Spirit entered into me, and caused me to stand upon my feet, —and he spake with me and said unto me, Go in shut thyself up, in the midst of thine own house,

25 Pero mira, oh hijo de hombre, te van atar con cuerdas, de manera que no podrás salir, y no saldrás entre ellos:

And thou—O son of man, lo! they have put upon thee bands, and they will bind thee therewith, -. so that thou go not forth in their midst;

26 Y pondré tu lengua fija en el paladar, para que no tengas voz y no puedas reprenderlos; porque son un pueblo rebelde.

thy tongue also, will I cause to cleave unto the roof of thy mouth, so shalt thou be dumb and not be to them a reprover, — For a perverse house, they are!

27 Pero cuando hable contigo, te abriré la boca, y debes decirles: Esto es lo que el Señor ha dicho: Dejen que el oyente oiga; y en cuanto al que no quiere, que cierre los oídos, porque son personas rebeldes.

But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them. Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, —He that is minded to hear, let him hear, And he that is minded to forbear, let him forbear! For a perverse house, they are!
