Éxodo 8

1 Y esto es lo que el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: Ve a Faraón y dile: El Señor dice: Deja ir a mi pueblo para que me den culto.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus hath said the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

2 Y si no los dejas ir, mira, enviaré ranas a cada parte de tu tierra:

And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:

3 El Nilo estará lleno de ranas, y entrarán en tu casa y en tus habitaciones y en tu cama, y ​​en las casas de tus siervos y tu pueblo, y en tus hornos y en donde amasas tu masa.

And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, and they shall go up and come into thy house, and into thy sleeping-chamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and among thy people, and into thy ovens, and into thy kneading-troughs;

4 Las ranas subirán sobre ti, tu pueblo y todos tus sirvientes.

And upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants, shall the frogs come up.

5 Y el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: Di a Aarón: Extiende la vara que tienes en la mano sobre los ríos, los canales y los arroyos, y haz que surjan ranas en la tierra de Egipto.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thy hand with thy staff over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause the frogs to come up over the land of Egypt.

6 Y cuando Aarón extendió su mano sobre las aguas de Egipto, subieron las ranas y toda la tierra de Egipto fue cubierta con ellas.

And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.

7 Y los magos hicieron lo mismo con sus artes secretas, haciendo que surjan ranas sobre la tierra de Egipto.

And the magicians did so with their secret arts, and brought up the frogs over the land of Egypt.

8 Entonces Faraón envió a llamar a Moisés y a Aarón, y les dijo: Rueguen al Señor que se lleve estas ranas de mí y de mi pueblo; y dejaré que la gente vaya y haga su ofrenda al Señor.

Then did Pharaoh call for Moses and Aaron, and said, Entreat the Lord, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice unto the Lord.

9 Y Moisés dijo: Te dejaré tener el honor de decir cuándo tengo que orar por ti, por tus siervos y por tu pueblo, para que las ranas sean enviadas lejos de ti y de tus casas, y estén solo en el Nilo.

And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Arrogate thyself glory over me: for what time shall I entreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and from thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?

10 Y él dijo: Mañana. Y él dijo: Deja que sea como dices: para que veas que no hay otro como el Señor nuestro Dios.

And he said, For tomorrow; and he said, Be it according to thy word; in order that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the Lord our God.

11 Y las ranas se irán de ti, de tus casas, de tus siervos y de tu pueblo, y estarán solo en el Nilo.

And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; only in the river shall they remain.

12 Entonces Moisés y Aarón salieron de Faraón; y Moisés oró al Señor sobre las ranas que había enviado a Faraón.

And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh; and Moses cried unto the Lord on account of the frogs which he had inflicted on Pharaoh.

13 Y Jehová hizo como Moisés dijo; y murieron todas las ranas en las casas y en los espacios abiertos y en los campos.

And the Lord did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the courts, and out of the fields.

14 Y las juntaron y las amontonaban, y salió un mal olor de la tierra.

And they gathered them together in many heaps; and the land stank.

15 Pero cuando Faraón vio que había paz por un tiempo, endureció su corazón y no los escuchó, como el Señor había dicho.

But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had spoken.

16 Y Él Señor dijo a Moisés: Di a Aarón: Extiende tu vara sobre el polvo de la tierra, para que se convierta en piojos por toda la tierra de Egipto.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy staff, and smite the dust of the earth, and it shall become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

17 Y lo hicieron así; y Aarón, extendiendo la vara en su mano, dio un toque al polvo de la tierra, y los piojos vinieron sobre el hombre y sobre la bestia; todo el polvo de la tierra se transformó en piojos en toda la tierra de Egipto.

And they did so; and Aaron stretched out his hand with his staff, and smote the dust of the earth, and the lice were thus on man, and on beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

18 Y los magos con sus artes secretas, tratando de hacer insectos, no pudieron hacerlo: y había insectos en el hombre y en la bestia.

And the magicians did so with their secret arts to bring forth the lice, but they could not; so were the lice upon man and upon beast.

19 Entonces los magos dijeron a Faraón: Este es el dedo de Dios; pero el corazón de Faraón era duro, y no los oyó, como el Señor había dicho.

Then said the magicians unto Pharaoh, This is a finger of God; but Pharaoh's heart remained hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had spoken.

20 Y Él Señor dijo a Moisés: Levántate temprano en la mañana, y toma tu lugar delante de Faraón cuando salga al agua; y dile: “Esto es lo que dice el Señor: deja que mi pueblo vaya a darme culto”.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and place thyself before Pharaoh; lo, he goeth forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus hath said the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

21 Porque si no dejas ir a mi pueblo, mira, enviaré nubes de moscas sobre ti, sobre tus siervos, sobre tu pueblo y sobre sus casas; y las casas de los egipcios y la tierra donde están estarán llenas de moscas.

For if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send against thee, and against thy servants, and against thy people, and into thy houses various wild beasts: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of the wild beasts, and also the ground whereon they dwell.

22 Y en ese tiempo haré una división entre tu tierra y la tierra de Gosén, donde está mi pueblo, y no habrá moscas allí; para que veas que yo soy el Señor sobre toda la tierra.

And I will distinguish on that day the land of Goshen, in which my people abideth, so that no wild beasts shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth.

23 Y pondré una protección entre mi pueblo y tu pueblo; mañana esta señal será vista.

And I will put a distinction between my people and thy people; tomorrow shall this sign be.

24 Y el Señor hizo eso; y grandes nubes de moscas entraron en la casa de Faraón y en las casas de sus siervos, y toda la tierra de Egipto fue destruida a causa de las moscas.

And the Lord did so; and there came a grievous multitude of beasts into the house of Pharaoh, and into the house of his servants; and in all the land of Egypt, the land was laid waste by reason of the wild beasts.

25 Entonces Faraón envió a llamar a Moisés y a Aarón, y les dijo: Ve y haz tu ofrenda a tu Dios aquí en la tierra.

And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land.

26 Y dijo Moisés: No es correcto hacerlo; porque hacemos nuestras ofrendas de aquello a lo que los egipcios dan culto; y si lo hacemos ante sus ojos, ciertamente seremos apedreados.

And Moses said, It is not proper to do so; for the abomination of the Egyptians must we sacrifice to the Eternal our God: lo, if we should sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, would they not stone us?

27 Pero iremos tres días de camino a la tierra baldía, y haremos una ofrenda al Señor nuestro Dios, para que él nos dé órdenes.

A three days' journey will we go into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the Lord our God, just as he may say unto us.

28 Entonces Faraón dijo: Te dejaré ir a hacer una ofrenda al Señor tu Dios en la tierra baldía; pero no te vayas muy lejos y ora por mí.

And Pharaoh said, I will surely let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the Eternal your God in the wilderness; only do not go very far away: entreat for me.

29 Y Moisés dijo: Cuando yo salga de delante de ti, rogaré al Señor que la nube de moscas se vayan de Faraón y de su pueblo y de sus siervos mañana; que el faraón ya no engañe más a la gente ni impida que la gente vaya hacer su ofrenda al Señor.

And Moses said, Behold, I am going out from thee, and I will entreat the Lord, and the wild beasts shall depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow; only let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more, so as not to let the people go to sacrifice to the Lord.

30 Entonces Moisés salió de Faraón e hizo oración al Señor.

And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and entreated the Lord.

31 Y Él Señor hizo como Moisés dijo, y quitó la nube de moscas de Faraón, y de sus siervos y de su pueblo; y todas desaparecieron.

And the Lord did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the wild beasts from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.

32 Pero otra vez Faraón endureció su corazón y no dejó ir al pueblo.

But Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, and he did not let the people go.
