Éxodo 3

1 Y Moisés estaba cuidando el rebaño de Jetro, su suegro, el sacerdote de Madián; y llevó el rebaño a la parte posterior del desierto, y llegó a Horeb, el monte de Dios.

And Moses was keeping the flock of Jithro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock far away into the desert, and came to the mountain of God, to Choreb.

2 Y el ángel del Señor fue visto por él en una llama de fuego que salía de un árbol de espinos: y vio que el árbol estaba en llamas, pero no fue quemado.

And an angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a thorn-bush; and he looked, and, behold, the thorn-bush was burning with fire, but the thorn-bush was not consumed.

3 Y Moisés dijo: Iré y veré esta cosa extraña, por qué el árbol no está quemado,

And Moses said, I must turn aside, and see this great sight, why the thorn-bush is not burnt.

4 Y cuando el Señor lo vio voltearse a un lado para ver, Dios dijo su nombre desde el árbol, clamando: Moisés, Moisés. Y él dijo: Aquí estoy.

And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see God called unto him out of the midst of the thorn-bush, and said, Moses, Moses; and he said, Here am I.

5 Y él dijo: No te acerques; quita los zapatos de tus pies, porque el lugar donde estás es santo.

And he said, Draw not nigh hither; put off thy shoes from off thy feet; for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

6 Y dijo: Yo soy el Dios de tus padres, Dios de Abraham, Dios de Isaac y Dios de Jacob. Y Moisés mantuvo su rostro cubierto por temor a mirar a Dios.

And he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look up to God.

7 Y dijo Dios: En verdad, he visto el dolor de mi pueblo en Egipto, y su clamor a causa de sus amos crueles ha llegado a mis oídos; porque yo conozco sus penas;

And the Lord said, I have truly seen the affliction of my people that is in Egypt, and have heard its cry by reason of its taskmasters; yea, I know its sorrows;

8 Y bajé para liberarlos de las manos de los egipcios, y voy a sacarlos fuera de aquella tierra a una tierra buena y ancha, a una tierra que mana leche y miel; en el lugar del cananeo del hitita y el amorreo y el ferezeo del heveo y el jebuseo.

And I am come down to deliver it out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring it up out of that land unto a land, good and large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Emorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

9 Porque ahora, verdaderamente, el clamor de los hijos de Israel ha venido a mí, y he visto el comportamiento cruel de los egipcios hacia ellos.

Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

10 Ven, entonces, y yo te enviaré a Faraón, para que saques a mi pueblo, los hijos de Israel, de Egipto.

And now then go, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, and thou shalt bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

11 Y Moisés dijo a Dios: ¿Quién soy yo para ir a Faraón y sacar a los hijos de Israel de Egipto?

And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?

12 Y él dijo: En verdad estaré contigo; y esta será la señal para ti que te he enviado: cuando hayas sacado a los hijos de Israel de Egipto, adorarás a Dios en este monte.

And he said, Because I will be with thee; and this shall be unto thee the token, that I have sent thee: when thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

13 Y dijo Moisés a Dios: Cuando llegue a los hijos de Israel y les diga: El Dios de tus padres me ha enviado a ti, y me dicen: ¿Cuál es su nombre? ¿qué les voy a decir?

And Moses said unto God, Behold, if I come unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they then say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

14 Y Dios le dijo: YO SOY LO QUE SOY. Y él dijo: Di a los hijos de Israel: YO SOY me ha enviado a ti.

And God said unto Moses, I will be that I will be: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I will be hath sent me unto you.

15 Y Dios pasó a decir a Moisés: Di a los hijos de Israel: El Señor, el Dios de tus padres, el Dios de Abraham, de Isaac y de Jacob, me ha enviado a ti: este es mi nombre para siempre. y este es mi nombre para todas las generaciones.

And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Everlasting One, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

16 Ve y reúne a los jefes de los hijos de Israel, y diles: El Señor, el Dios de tus padres, el Dios de Abraham, de Isaac y de Jacob, ha sido visto por mí, y ha dicho: Verdaderamente He tomado tu causa, por lo que se te ha hecho en Egipto;

Go, and assemble the elders of Israel, and say unto them, The Everlasting One, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, hath appeared unto me, saying, I have surely taken cognizance of you and of that which is done to you in Egypt:

17 Y dijo: Yo te llevaré de los dolores de Egipto a la tierra de los cananeos, de los hititas, de los amorreos, de los ferezeos, de los heveos y de los jebuseos, a tierra que mana leche y miel.

And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt, unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Emorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.

18 Y oirán tu voz; y tú, con los jefes de Israel, irás a Faraón, rey de Egipto, y le dirás: Él Señor, el Dios de los hebreos, ha venido a nosotros; déjanos luego hacer un viaje de tres días a la tierra baldía para hacer una ofrenda al Señor nuestro Dios.

And they will hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The Everlasting One, the God of the Hebrews hath met with us; and now let us go, we beseech thee, a three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.

19 Y estoy seguro de que el rey de Egipto no te dejará ir sin ser forzado.

But I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, unless it happen through a mighty hand.

20 Pero extenderé mi mano y venceré a Egipto con todas las maravillas que haré entre ellos; y después de eso él los dejará ir.

And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof; and after that he will let you go.

21 Y daré gracia a este pueblo en ojos de los egipcios, para que cuando salgas, salgas con las manos llenas.

And I will give this people favor in the eyes of the Egyptians; and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:

22 Porque cada mujer recibirá de su vecino y de la mujer que vive en su casa adornos de plata y oro y ropa; y los pondrás sobre tus hijos y tus hijas; tomarás lo mejor de sus bienes de los egipcios.

But every woman shall ask of her neighbor, and of her that sojourneth in her house, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments; and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall empty out Egypt.
