Efesios 1
1 Pablo, apóstol de Cristo Jesús por la voluntad de Dios, a los santos y fieles en Cristo Jesús que están en Efeso,
Paul, an Apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God: To God's people who are in Ephesus--believers in Christ Jesus.
2 Gracia y paz a ustedes de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
May grace and peace be granted to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Alabado sea Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, quien nos ha dado toda bendición espiritual en los cielos en Cristo,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has crowned us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ;
4 Porque nos escogió para estar en unión con él desde él principio de la fundación del mundo, para que seamos santos y libre de toda maldad delante de él,
even as, in His love, He chose us as His own in Christ before the creation of the world, that we might be holy and without blemish in His presence.
5 En amor como fuimos designados antes por él para ser adoptados hijos suyos para sí mismo, por medio de Jesucristo, conforme en lo que se había propuesto en su voluntad,
For He pre-destined us to be adopted by Himself as sons through Jesus Christ--such being His gracious will and pleasure--
6 Para alabanza de la gloria de su gracia, que él nos dio gratuitamente en el Amado:
to the praise of the splendour of His grace with which He has enriched us in the beloved One.
7 En quien tenemos la salvación por su sangre, el perdón de nuestros pecados, por la riqueza de su gracia,
It is in Him, and through the shedding of His blood, that we have our deliverance--the forgiveness of our offences--so abundant was God's grace,
8 La cual nos dio en sobre abundancia con toda sabiduría e inteligencia;
the grace which He, the possessor of all wisdom and understanding, lavished upon us,
9 Y nos ha hecho saber el secreto de su voluntad, de acuerdo con el plan que él mismo se había propuesto llevar a cabo.
when He made known to us the secret of His will. And this is in harmony with God's merciful purpose
10 De acuerdo a este plan se cumplirá a su debido tiempo, Dios va unir bajo el mando de Cristo todas las cosas, ambas, las que están en el cielo y las que están en la tierra;
for the government of the world when the times are ripe for it--the purpose which He has cherished in His own mind of restoring the whole creation to find its one Head in Christ; yes, things in Heaven and things on earth, to find their one Head in Him.
11 En quien tenemos una herencia, habiendo sido predestinados conforme a su propósito que hace todas las cosas de acuerdo con sus designios de su voluntad;
In Him we Jews have been made heirs, having been chosen beforehand in accordance with the intention of Him whose might carries out in everything the design of His own will,
12 Para que su gloria sea alabada por medio de nosotros, los primeros que tuvimos esperanza en Cristo:
so that we should be devoted to the extolling of His glorious attributes--we who were the first to fix our hopes on Christ.
13 En quien, ustedes también creyeron habiendo recibido la palabra verdadera, las buenas nuevas de su salvación y su fe en él, se les dio el sello de propiedad del Santo Espíritu que había prometido,
And in Him you Gentiles also, after listening to the Message of the truth, the Good News of your salvation--having believed in Him--were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit;
14 Que es la garantía de nuestra herencia, hasta que Dios recupere lo suyo, para alabanza de su gloria.
that Spirit being a pledge and foretaste of our inheritance, in anticipation of its full redemption--the inheritance which He has purchased to be specially His for the extolling of His glory.
15 Por esta razón, yo, habiendo recibido la noticia de la fe en el Señor Jesús que está entre ustedes, y de su amor para con todos los santos,
For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which prevails among you, and of your love for all God's people,
16 No dejó de dar gracias a Dios por ustedes recordándoles en mis oraciones;
offer never ceasing thanks on your behalf while I make mention of you in my prayers.
17 Para que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre de gloria, les dé un espíritu de sabiduría y revelación en el conocimiento de él;
For I always beseech the God of our Lord Jesus Christ--the Father most glorious--to give you a spirit of wisdom and penetration through an intimate knowledge of Him,
18 Y para que teniendo los ojos de su corazón llenos de luz, tengan conocimiento de cuál es la esperanza de su propósito, de su llamado, cuáles son las riqueza de la gloria de su herencia en los santos,
the eyes of your understanding being enlightened so that you may know what is the hope which His call to you inspires, what the wealth of the glory of His inheritance in God's people,
19 Y cuán grande y sin límites es su poder para nosotros, los que que creemos, como se ve en el funcionamiento de la fuerza de su poder,
and what the transcendent greatness of His power in us believers as seen in the working of His infinite might
20 Por el cual hizo que Cristo regrese de entre los muertos, y le dio un lugar a su diestra en el cielo,
when He displayed it in Christ by raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His own right hand in the heavenly realms,
21 Sobre todo gobierno y autoridad y poder y señorío, sobre cada nombre que se nombra, no sólo en este siglo, sino en el que está por venir: (aiōn g165)
high above all other government and authority and power and dominion, and every title of sovereignty used either in this Age or in the Age to come. (aiōn g165)
22 Y él ha puesto todas las cosas bajo sus pies, y lo ha hecho cabeza sobre todas las cosas para la iglesia,
God has put all things under His feet, and has appointed Him universal and supreme Head of the Church, which is His Body,
23 La cual es el cuerpo de Cristo, la plenitud misma de Cristo; y Cristo es la plenitud de todas las cosas.
the completeness of Him who everywhere fills the universe with Himself.
