Deuteronomio 32

1 Escuchen, oh cielos, mi voz; Que la tierra tome nota de las palabras de mi boca.

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

2 Mi enseñanza está cayendo como la lluvia, destile como rocío mi discurso, como llovizna sobre el pasto y como aguacero sobre la hierba.

My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

3 Porque honraré el nombre del Señor. Atribuyan grandeza a nuestro Dios.

Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.

4 Él es la Roca, completa es su obra; porque todos sus caminos son justicia: un Dios sin mal que mantiene la fe, verdadero y recto es él.

[He is] the Rock, his work [is] perfect: for all his ways [are] judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right [is] he.

5 Se han vuelto falsos, no son sus hijos, la marca del pecado está en ellos; Son una generación malvada y perversa.

They have corrupted themselves, their spot [is] not [the spot] of his children: [they are] a perverse and crooked generation.

6 ¿Es esta tu respuesta al Señor, pueblo necio e imprudente? ¿No es tu padre quien te ha dado la vida? Él te ha hecho y te ha dado tu lugar.

Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? [is] not he thy father [that] hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?

7 Tengan en cuenta los días del pasado, piensen en los años pasados: acudan a su padre y él se lo explicará a ustedes, a los ancianos y ellos les contarán la historia.

Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.

8 Cuando el Altísimo le dio a las naciones su herencia, separando en grupos a los hijos de los hombres, él tuvo los límites de los pueblos marcados, teniendo en cuenta el número de los hijos de Israel.

When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.

9 Porque la herencia del Señor es su pueblo; Jacob es el lugar de su herencia.

For the LORD’s portion [is] his people; Jacob [is] the lot of his inheritance.

10 Llegó a él en la tierra desolada, por tierras secas y azotadas por el viento, lo rodeó con sus brazos y lo cuidó, lo mantuvo como la niña de sus ojos.

He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

11 Como águila, enseñando a su cría a hacer su vuelo, con las alas extendidas sobre ellos, los levanta sobre sus fuertes plumas:

As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

12 Así que el Señor solo era su guía, ningún otro dios estaba con él.

[So] the LORD alone did lead him, and [there was] no strange god with him.

13 Los puso en los lugares altos de la tierra, su alimento fue la cosecha del campo; le hizo que chupara la miel de la peña, el aceite del pedernal duro;

He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

14 Mantequilla de sus vacas y leche de sus ovejas, con grasa de corderos y ovejas de Basán, y cabras, y el mejor grano del trigo; Y bebieron, vino de la sangre de la uva.

Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.

15 Pero Jesurún ​​se engordó y dio coces: tú has engordado, y engrosado. Abandono y desprecio a Dios que lo creó, sin honrar a la Roca de su salvación.

But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered [with fatness; ] then he forsook God [which] made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

16 El honor que era suyo se lo dieron a dioses extraños; por sus formas repugnantes fue movido a la ira.

They provoked him to jealousy with strange [gods], with abominations provoked they him to anger.

17 Hicieron ofrendas a los espíritus malignos que no eran Dios, a los dioses que les eran extraños, que habían surgido recientemente, no temidos por sus padres.

They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new [gods that] came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.

18 No piensas en la Roca, tu padre, no tienes memoria del Dios que te dio a luz.

Of the Rock [that] begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

19 Y el Señor vio con disgusto la maldad de sus hijos e hijas.

And when the LORD saw [it], he abhorred [them], because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.

20 Y él dijo: voy a esconder mi rostro de ellos, y a ver cuál será su fin! porque son una generación perversa, hijos en los que no hay fe.

And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end [shall be: ] for they [are] a very froward generation, children in whom [is] no faith.

21 Me provocaron celos, Han dado mi honor a lo que no es Dios, moviéndome a la ira con su adoración a dioses tontos; los provocaré a celos con un pueblo que no son un pueblo, los provocaré a la ira con una nación insensata,

They have moved me to jealousy with [that which is] not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with [those which are] not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

22 Porque mi ira es un fuego ardiente, que arde en las partes profundas del inframundo, que quema la tierra con su aumento, y dispara las profundas raíces de las montañas. (Sheol h7585)

For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol h7585)

23 Enviaré una lluvia de problemas sobre ellos, mis flechas se derramarán sobre ellos.

I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.

24 Se morirán de hambre y de fiebre y la amarga destrucción; y enviaré sobre ellos los dientes de las bestias, y serpientes venenosas.

[They shall be] burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.

25 Afuera en las calles, la espada la espada los destruirá, y en las habitaciones interiores por el miedo; la muerte llevará al joven y a la virgen, al bebé de pecho y ancianos.

The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling [also] with the man of gray hairs.

26 Dije que los enviaría vagando lejos, haría que borraría todo su recuerdo de la tierra.

I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

27 Pero por el temor de que sus enemigos, se engrandezcan en su orgullo, y puedan decir: Nuestra mano es fuerte, el Señor no ha hecho todo esto.

Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, [and] lest they should say, Our hand [is] high, and the LORD hath not done all this.

28 Porque son una nación sin sabiduría; no hay sentido en ellos.

For they [are] a nation void of counsel, neither [is there any] understanding in them.

29 ¡Si solo fueran sabios, si tan solo les quedara claro, y pensarían en su futuro!

O that they were wise, [that] they understood this, [that] they would consider their latter end!

30 ¿Cómo sería posible que uno supere mil, y dos que envíen diez mil en vuelo, si su roca no los hubiera dejado ir, si el Señor no los hubiera rodeado?

How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?

31 Porque su roca no es como nuestra roca, incluso nuestros enemigos son de ello jueces.

For their rock [is] not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves [being] judges.

32 Porque su vid es la vid de Sodoma, de los campos de Gomorra: sus uvas son las uvas venenosas, y las uvas son amargas:

For their vine [is] of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes [are] grapes of gall, their clusters [are] bitter:

33 Su vino es el veneno de víboras, el cruel veneno de las serpientes.

Their wine [is] the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.

34 ¿No es esto uno de mis secretos, guardado en mi almacén sellado en mis tesoros?

[Is] not this laid up in store with me, [and] sealed up among my treasures?

35 La venganza es mía y recompensa, en el momento del deslizamiento de sus pies: porque el día de su caída está cerca, repentino será su destino.

To me [belongeth] vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in [due] time: for the day of their calamity [is] at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

36 Porque el Señor será juez de su pueblo, tendrá compasión de sus siervos; Cuando ve que su poder se ha ido, no hay nadie, siervos ni libres.

For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that [their] power is gone, and [there is] none shut up, or left.

37 Y él dirá: ¿Dónde están sus dioses, la roca en que ponen su fe?

And he shall say, Where [are] their gods, [their] rock in whom they trusted,

38 ¿Quién tomó la grasa de sus ofrendas, y el vino de su ofrenda de bebida? Deja que vengan en tu ayuda, que sean tu salvación.

Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, [and] drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, [and] be your protection.

39 Mira ahora, yo soy él único Dios; no hay otro dios sino Yo. Dador de muerte y vida, hiriendo y sanando: y nadie tiene poder para liberarte de mi mano.

See now that I, [even] I, [am] he, and [there is] no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither [is there any] that can deliver out of my hand.

40 Porque yo alzo mi mano al cielo, y digo: Vivo yo para siempre,

For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

41 Si afilo mi espada brillante, y extiendo mi mano para juzgar, castigaré a los que están en mi contra, y su recompensa correcta a mis enemigos.

If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.

42 Haré que mis flechas se vuelvan rojas de sangre, mi espada se festejará con la carne, con la sangre de los muertos y los prisioneros, de las cabezas de pelo largo de mis enemigos.

I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; [and that] with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.

43 Alégrate, oh pueblo suyo, sobre las naciones; porque él pagará por la sangre de sus siervos, y castigará a sus enemigos, y perdonará el pecado de su tierra, y su pueblo.

Rejoice, O ye nations, [with] his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, [and] to his people.

44 Entonces Moisés dijo todas las palabras de este canto al oído del pueblo, él y Josué, el hijo de Nun.

And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.

45 Y después de decir todo esto a la gente,

And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:

46 Moisés les dijo: Deja que las palabras que les he dicho hoy, penetren en sus corazones, y manden a sus hijos que cumplan cada palabra de esta ley.

And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.

47 Y esto no es poca cosa para ti, sino que es tu vida, y con esto puedes hacer que tus días se alarguen en la tierra al otro lado de él río Jordán para tomar como herencia.

For it [is] not a vain thing for you; because it [is] your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong [your] days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

48 Ese mismo día el Señor dijo a Moisés:

And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,

49 Sube a esta montaña de Abarim, al Monte Nebo en la tierra de Moab frente a Jericó; allí puedes ver la tierra de Canaán, que estoy dando a los hijos de Israel por su herencia:

Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, [unto] mount Nebo, which [is] in the land of Moab, that [is] over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:

50 Y que venga la muerte a ti en la montaña donde vas, y descansa con tu pueblo; Cuando llegó la muerte a Aarón, tu hermano, en el monte Hor, donde fue sepultado con su pueblo:

And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:

51 Por tu pecado contra mí delante de los hijos de Israel en las aguas de Meriba- Cades en el desierto de Zin; porque no santificaste mi nombre entre los hijos de Israel.

Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.

52 Verás la tierra delante de ti, pero no entrarás en la tierra que yo doy a los hijos de Israel.

Yet thou shalt see the land before [thee; ] but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.
