Deuteronomio 23
1 Ningún hombre cuyas partes privadas hayan sido heridas o mutiladas puede entrar en la reunión del pueblo del Señor.
Neither he that hath been mutilated by crushing, nor he that hath had his privy member cut off, shall enter into the convocation of Yahweh.
2 Uno de cuyos padres y madres no estén casados no pueden asistir a la reunión del pueblo del Señor, ni a ninguno de sus familiares hasta la décima generación.
A bastard shall not enter into the convocation of Yahweh, —even to the tenth generation, shall none of his enter into the convocation of Yahweh.
3 Ninguna Amonita o Moabita o cualquiera de sus descendientes hasta la décima generación puede venir a la reunión de la gente del Señor:
Neither an Ammonite nor a Moabite shall enter into the convocation of Yahweh, —even to the tenth generation, shall none that belong to them enter into the convocation of Yahweh, unto times age-abiding:
4 Porque no te dieron pan ni agua en tu camino cuando saliste de Egipto; y contrataron a Balaam, el hijo de Beor, de Petor, en Aram-naharaim, para ponerte maldiciones.
because they met you not with bread and water, in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt, —but hired against thee Balaam son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
5 Pero el Señor tu Dios no quiso escuchar a Balaam, sino que la maldición se cambió en una bendición para ustedes, debido a su amor por ustedes.
Nevertheless, Yahweh thy God consented not to hearken unto Balaam, but Yahweh thy God turned, for thee, the curse into a blessing, —because Yahweh thy God loved thee.
6 No busques la paz ni la prosperidad de ellos todos los días de tu vida.
Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their welfare, —all thy days, unto times age-abiding.
7 Pero no odies a un edomita, porque él es tu hermano o un egipcio, porque estabas viviendo en su tierra.
Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite, for thy brother, he is, —thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian, for a sojourner, becamest thou in his land;
8 Sus hijos de la tercera generación pueden venir a la reunión del pueblo del Señor.
the sons who are born to them, of the third generation, may enter unto them in the convocation of Yahweh.
9 Cuando salgas a la guerra y pongan sus tiendas de campaña en posición, guarda de todo mal.
When thou goest forth into camp against thine enemies, then shalt thou beware of everything foul.
10 Si alguno de ustedes se vuelve inmundo a través de una alguna emisión nocturna, debe salir del círculo del campamento y mantenerse afuera.
When there is in thy midst a man who is not clean through a mischance of the night, then shall he go forth unto the outside of the camp, he shall not come into the midst of the camp;
11 Pero cuando se acerca la noche, se lavará su cuerpo: y después de la puesta del sol, podrá volver al campamento.
but it shall be, when the evening cometh on, he shall bathe himself in water, —and at the going in of the sun, he shall come into the midst of the camp.
12 Tendrás un lugar fuera del campamento al que puedan ir;
And a place aside, shalt thou have, without the camp, —whither thou canst go forth abroad;
13 Y tendrás entre tus herramientas una pala; y cuando te hayas sentado allá afuera; cavaras con ella, y al volverte cubrirás tu excremento con la tierra.
and a blade, shalt thou have upon thy staff, —so shall it be, that when thou wouldest sit down outside, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which hath passed from thee:
14 Porque el SEÑOR tu Dios está caminando entre tus tiendas, para mantenerte seguro y para entregar en tus manos a los que luchan contra ustedes; entonces deja que tu campamento sea santo, para que no vea en ustedes nada inmundo, y se aparte de ti.
for, Yahweh thy God, walketh to and fro in the midst of thy camp, to rescue thee, and to deliver up thine enemies before thee, so shall thy camps be holy, —and he shall see in thee no shameful thing, that he should turn away from following thee.
15 No devuelvas a su amo un sirviente que se haya ido en fuga de su amo y venga a ustedes:
Thou shalt not deliver up a slave unto his lord, —one who maketh his escape unto thee, from his lord:
16 Deja que continúe viviendo en medio de ti, en el lugar que más le agrade. No lo oprimas.
with thee, shall he remain in thy midst, in the place which he shall choose in any of thy gates where it seemeth good to him, —thou shalt not oppress him.
17 Ninguna hija de Israel debe dejarse usar como una mujer prostituta para culto pagano, tampoco de los hijos de Israel serán prostitutos de culto pagano.
There shall be no female devotee of the daughters of Israel, —neither shall there be, a male devotee, of the sons of Israel.
18 No tomen en la casa del Señor su Dios, como ofrenda por un juramento, el precio de una mujer prostituta o el precio de un perro; por que estas dos cosas son repugnantes al Señor tu Dios.
Thou shalt not bring the wages of an unchaste woman, or the hire of a dog, into the house of Yahweh thy God for any vow, —for, an abomination unto Yahweh thy God, are they both.
19 No cobres interés a tu hermano sobre cualquier cosa, dinero o comida o cualquier otro bien, que gane interés.
Thou shalt not lend on interest to thy brother, interest of silver, interest of food, —interest of any thing that can be lent on interest:
20 De los hombres de otras naciones pueden cobrar interés, pero no de un israelita: para que la bendición del Señor tu Dios esté en todo lo que hagas, en la tierra que estás a punto de tomar como tu herencia.
to a foreigner, thou mayest lend on interest, but to thy brother, shalt thou not lend on interest, —that Yahweh thy God may bless thee, in everything where-unto thou puttest thy hand, upon the land which thou art entering to possess.
21 Cuando Hagan un juramento al Señor, no tardes en cumplirlo, porque sin duda el Señor tu Dios los hará responsable, y lo considerará pecado.
When thou shalt vow a vow unto Yahweh thy God, thou shalt not delay to make it good, —for Yahweh thy God would, require, it of thee, and it should be in thee sin.
22 Pero si no hacen juramento, no habrá pecado.
But, if thou refrain from vowing, it shall not be in thee sin.
23 Lo que hayan dicho tus labios, mira que lo hagan; porque dieron su palabra libremente al Señor tu Dios.
That which goeth forth out of thy lips, thou must observe and do, —according as thou didst vow unto Yahweh thy God the free-will, offering of which thou didst speak with thy mouth.
24 Cuando entren en el viñedo de su vecino, pueden tomar de sus uvas a su gusto, pero no pueden llevarlas en su vasija.
When thou enterest into the vineyard of thy neighbour, then mayest thou eat grapes at thy pleasure to thy fill, -but into thy vessel, shalt thou put none.
25 Cuando vayan al campo de su vecino, pueden tomar las espigas con la mano; Pero no pueden poner su hoz a su grano.
When thou enterest the standing corn of thy neighbour, thou mayest pluck off ears with thy hand, —but a sickle, shalt thou not wield against the standing corn of thy neighbour.
