Deuteronomio 10
1 En ese momento el Señor me dijo: Haz otras dos piedras, córtalas como las dos primeras, y sube a mí en la montaña, y haz un cofre de madera.
At that time the Lord said unto me, Hew for thyself two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount; and make thyself an ark of wood.
2 Y pondré sobre las piedras las palabras que estaban sobre las primeras piedras que rompiste, y tú debes ponerlas en él cofre.
And I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which thou hast broken; and thou shalt put them in the ark.
3 Hice un cofre de madera de acacia, hice cortar dos piedras como las otras y subí a la montaña con las piedras en mis manos.
And I made an ark of shittim-wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and I went up into the mount, with the two tables in my hand.
4 Y puso en las piedras, como en la primera escritura, las diez reglas que el Señor les dio en la montaña cuando hablo en medio del fuego el día de la gran reunión y el Señor me dio las piedras.
And he wrote on the tables, like the first writing, the ten commandments, which the Lord had spoken unto you on the mount out of the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly; and the Lord gave them unto me.
5 Y volviéndome, descendí del monte y puse las piedras en el cofre que había hecho; y allí están como el Señor me dio órdenes.
And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and I put the tables in the ark which I had made; and they have remained there, as the Lord hath commanded me.
6 (Y los hijos de Israel pasaron de Beerot Bene-jaakan a Mosera; allí llegó la muerte a Aarón, quien fue sepultado; y Eleazar, su hijo, tomó su lugar como sacerdote.
And the children of Israel took their journey from the wells of the children of Ya'akan to Mosserah: there Aaron died, and he was buried there; and Elazar his son became priest in his stead.
7 De allí siguieron a Gudgoda, y de Gudgoda a Jotbata, una tierra de arroyos de agua.
From there they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Yotbatha, a land of brooks of waters.
8 En ese momento, el Señor hizo que la tribu de Leví fuera escogida para tomar el cofre del pacto del Señor, para estar delante del Señor y para hacer su trabajo y para dar bendiciones en su nombre, hasta el día de hoy.
At that time did the Lord separate the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.
9 Por esta razón Levi no tiene ninguna parte o herencia para sí mismo entre sus hermanos: el Señor es su herencia, como el Señor tu Dios lo dijo.
Therefore was not assigned unto Levi any portion or inheritance with his brethren: the Lord is his inheritance, as the Lord thy God hath spoken to him.
10 Y estuve en la montaña, como la primera vez, durante cuarenta días y cuarenta noches; y nuevamente los oídos del Señor estaban abiertos a mi oración, y él no envió destrucción sobre ti.
And I stayed on the mount, like the first days, forty days and forty nights; and the Lord hearkened unto me also at that time, the Lord would not destroy thee.
11 Entonces el Señor me dijo: Levántate y vete en tu viaje delante del pueblo, para que puedan entrar y tomar la tierra que dije en mis juramentos a sus padres que les daría.
And the Lord said unto me, Arise, go on the journey before the people, that they may go in and take possession of the land, which I have sworn unto their fathers to give unto them.
12 Y ahora, Israel, ¿qué pide de ustedes el Señor tu Dios? sino que honren al Señor tu Dios, andando en todos sus caminos y amándolo y haciendo su placer con todo tu corazón y todo tu alma,
And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13 Cumplir las órdenes del Señor y guardar las leyes que les doy este día para su bien.
To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day, for thy own good?
14 El Señor tu Dios es gobernante de los cielos, y de lo más alto de los cielos y de la tierra con todo lo que contiene.
Behold, to the Lord thy God belong the heavens and the heavens of heavens, and the earth with all that is thereon;
15 Pero el Señor se deleitó en tus padres y los amó, escogiendo para sí su simiente después de ellos, incluso ustedes, de todos los pueblos, como en este día.
Yet only in thy fathers had the Lord delight, to love them; he chose, therefore, their seed after them, namely you, from all the nations, as it is this day.
16 Deja que tu circuncisión sea del corazón y deja tu orgullo, no sigan siendo tercos.
Remove therefore the obduracy of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked.
17 Porque el Señor su Dios es el Dios de los dioses y el Señor de los señores, el gran Dios, fuerte en poder y muy temible, que no respeta la posición de ningún hombre y no recibe sobornos.
For the Lord your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who hath no regard to persons, and taketh no bribe;
18 Juzgando con rectitud en la causa de la viuda y del huérfano, y dando comida y ropa en su misericordia al hombre de un país extraño.
Who executeth justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loveth the stranger, to give him food and raiment.
19 Así que sé amable con el hombre de un país extraño que vive entre ustedes, porque ustedes mismos estaban viviendo en un país extraño en la tierra de Egipto.
Love ye then the stranger; for you have been strangers in the land of Egypt.
20 Deja que el temor del Señor tu Dios esté delante de ti, dale adoración y sé fiel a él en todo momento, prestando juramento en su nombre.
The Lord thy God shalt thou fear: him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and by his name shalt thou swear.
21 Él es tu Dios, el motivo de tu alabanza, tu Dios que ha hecho por ti todas estas obras de poder que tus ojos han visto.
He is thy praise, and he is thy God, who hath done for thee these great and fearful things, which thy own eyes have seen.
22 Sus padres bajaron a Egipto con setenta personas; y ahora el Señor tu Dios te ha hecho numeroso como las estrellas del cielo.
With seventy persons did thy fathers go down into Egypt; and now the Lord thy God hath made thee like the stars of heaven in multitude.
