Daniel 8
1 En el tercer año del reinado de Belsasar el rey, Daniel vio una visión similar a la que vi al principio.
In the thirde yeere of the reigne of King Belshazzar, a vision appeared vnto mee, euen vnto me Daniel, after that which appeared vnto mee at the first.
2 Y vi en la visión; y cuando lo vi, estaba en la ciudad fuerte de Susa, que está en el país de Elam; y en la visión estaba junto a la orilla del Ulai.
And I saw in a vision, and when I sawe it, I was in the palace of Shushan, which is in the prouince of Elam, and in a vision me thought I was by the riuer of Vlai.
3 Y alzando mis ojos, vi, allí delante del arroyo, un carnero con dos cuernos; y los dos cuernos eran altos, pero uno era más alto que el otro, el más alto subía al último.
Then I looked vp and sawe, and beholde, there stoode before the riuer a ramme, which had two hornes: and these two hornes were hie: but one was hier then another, and the hyest came vp last.
4 Vi un carnero embistiendo hacia el oeste y hacia el norte y hacia el sur; y ninguna bestia pudo mantener su lugar ante él, y nadie pudo librarse de su poder; pero hizo lo que fue su placer y se hizo grande.
I sawe the ramme pusshing against ye West, and against the North, and against the South: so that no beastes might stande before him, nor could deliuer out of his hand, but he did what he listed, and became great.
5 Y mientras pensaba en esto, vi un macho cabrío que venía del oeste sobre la faz de toda la tierra sin tocar el suelo; y el macho cabrío tenía un gran cuerno entre los ojos.
And as I considered, beholde, a goate came from the West ouer the whole earth, and touched not the grounde: and this goate had an horne that appeared betweene his eyes.
6 Y llegó al carnero de dos cuernos que vi junto al arroyo, corriendo hacia él lo embistió con todo su poder.
And he came vnto the ramme that had the two hornes, whome I had seene standing by the riuer, and ranne vnto him in his fierce rage.
7 Y lo vi acercarse directamente al carnero, y se conmovió con ira contra él, atacando al carnero y sus dos cuernos fueran quebrados; y él carnero no tenían fuerzas para mantener su lugar delante de él, pero lo echó al suelo y lo pisoteó bajo sus pies; y no había nadie que librara al carnero de su poder.
And I saw him come vnto the ramme, and being moued against him, he smote the ramme, and brake his two hornes: and there was no power in the ramme to stand against him, but he cast him downe to the grounde, and stamped vpon him, and there was none that coulde deliuer the ramme out of his power.
8 Y el macho cabrío se hizo muy grande; y cuando estaba fuerte, se rompió el gran cuerno, y en su lugar aparecieron otros cuatro cuernos que se convirtieron en los cuatro vientos.
Therefore the goate waxed exceeding great, and when he was at the strongest, his great horne was broken: and for it came vp foure that appeared toward the foure windes of ye heauen.
9 Y de uno de ellos salió otro cuerno, uno pequeño, que se hizo muy grande, extendiéndose hacia el sur, hacia el este y hacia la Tierra hermosa.
And out of one of them came foorth a litle horne, which waxed very great toward the South, and toward the East, and towarde the pleasant land.
10 Y se hizo grande, incluso tan alto como el ejército del cielo, derribando a algunos del ejército, incluso de las estrellas, a la tierra y los aplastó bajo sus pies.
Yea, it grewe vp vnto the hoste of heauen, and it cast downe some of the hoste, and of the starres to the ground, and trode vpon them,
11 Se hizo grande, incluso tan grande como el jefe del ejército; y por eso la ofrenda quemada regular fue quitada, y el lugar sagrado fue echado abajo.
And extolled himselfe against the prince of the hoste from whome the dayly sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his Sanctuarie was cast downe.
12 Y él ejército fue entregado al cuerno a causa de la transgresión junto con él sacrificio continuo; echó por tierra la verdad e hizo lo que quiso y próspero.
And a time shall be giuen him ouer the dayly sacrifice for the iniquitie: and it shall cast downe the trueth to the ground, and thus shall it doe, and prosper.
13 Entonces llegó a mis oídos la voz de un santo que hablaba; y otro santo le dijo a ese cierto que estaba hablando: ¿Cuánto tiempo durará la visión del sacrificio continuo, y de la transgresión inmunda que causa temor, y el lugar santo es pisoteado bajo los pies?
Then I heard one of the Saints speaking, and one of the Saints spake vnto a certaine one, saying, Howe long shall endure the vision of the dayly sacrifice, and the iniquitie of the desolation to treade both the Sanctuarie and the armie vnder foote?
14 Y él le dijo: Por dos mil trescientas tardes y mañanas; entonces el lugar sagrado quedará purificado.
And he answered me, Vnto the euening and the morning, two thousand and three hundreth: then shall the Sanctuarie be clensed.
15 Y sucedió que cuando yo, Daniel, había visto esta visión, tenía el deseo de entender su significado; y vi uno delante de mí en forma de hombre.
Nowe when I Daniel had seene the vision, and sought for the meaning, beholde, there stoode before me like the similitude of a man.
16 Y la voz de un hombre llegó a mis oídos entre los lados del Ulai, gritando y diciendo: Gabriel, aclara la visión a este hombre.
And I heard a mans voyce betweene the bankes of Vlai, which called, and sayde, Gabriel, make this man to vnderstand the vision.
17 Entonces él vino y tomó su lugar cerca de donde yo estaba; y cuando vino, estaba lleno de miedo y caí de bruces; pero él me dijo: Que te quede claro, oh hijo del hombre; porque la visión tiene que ver con el tiempo del fin.
So he came where I stood: and when hee came, I was afraide, and fell vpon my face: but he sayd vnto me, Vnderstand, O sonne of man: for in the last time shalbe the vision.
18 Ahora, mientras me hablaba, dormí profundamente con la cara en la tierra: pero al tocarme, me puso de pie donde había estado.
Nowe as he was speaking vnto me, I being a sleepe fell on my face to the ground: but he touched me, and set me vp in my place.
19 Y él dijo: Mira, te haré saber lo que vendrá en el tiempo posterior del furor: porque tiene que ver con el tiempo fijo del fin.
And he sayde, Beholde, I will shewe thee what shalbe in the last wrath: for in the end of the time appointed it shall come.
20 Las ovejas que viste con dos cuernos, son los reyes de Media y Persia.
The ramme which thou sawest hauing two hornes, are the Kings of the Medes and Persians.
21 Y el macho cabrío es el rey de Grecia; y el gran cuerno entre sus ojos es el primer rey.
And the goate is the King of Grecia, and the great horne that is betweene his eyes, is the first King.
22 Y en cuanto a lo que estaba roto, en lugar del cual surgieron cuatro, surgirán cuatro reinos de su nación, pero no con su poder.
And that that is broken, and foure stoode vp for it, are foure kingdomes, which shall stand vp of that nation, but not in his strength.
23 Y en los últimos años de su reino, cuando sus malas acciones se hayan completado, surgirá un rey lleno de orgullo y experto en dichos oscuros.
And in the end of their kingdome, when the rebellious shalbe consumed, a King of fierce countenance, and vnderstanding darke sentences, shall stand vp.
24 Y su poder será grande, pero no por su propio poder. Destruirá en forma extraordinaria Y prosperará y hará lo que quiera; y él enviará destrucción a los fuertes y al pueblo santo.
And his power shalbe mightie, but not in his strength: and hee shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mightie, and the holy people.
25 Y por su astucia sus engaños prosperaron; causando que el engaño prospere en su mano; por su influencia; en su corazón se hará grande y enviará destrucción a los muchos que viven inconscientes de su peligro; y se pondrá en contra del príncipe de los príncipes; pero será quebrantado, aunque no por manos de hombres.
And through his policie also, hee shall cause craft to prosper in his hand, and he shall extoll himselfe in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: hee shall also stande vp against the prince of princes, but he shalbe broken downe without hand.
26 Y la visión de las tardes y mañanas de la que se ha hablado es verdadera y mantenga la visión en secreto; porque es para muchos días.
And the vision of the euening and the morning, which is declared, is true: therefore seale thou vp the vision, for it shall be after many dayes.
27 Y yo, Daniel, estuve agotado y enfermo por algunos días; luego me levanté e hice los asuntos del rey; y estaba estupefacto con la visión, pero nadie fue capaz de interpretarla.
And I Daniel was striken and sicke certaine dayes: but when I rose vp, I did the Kings busines, and I was astonished at the vision, but none vnderstood it.
