Hechos 20

1 Y Después que el ruido había llegado a su fin, Pablo, se despidió de los discípulos y les abrazo y exhortó, y salió a Macedonia.

And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia.

2 Y cuando recorrió todos esos lugares, les dio mucha enseñanza y exhortó, y vino a Grecia.

And when he had gone over those parts, and had given them much exhortation, he came into Greece,

3 Y cuando estuvo allí tres meses, y cuando supo que los judíos estaban haciendo planes contra él cuando estaba a punto de tomar el barco para Siria, tomó la decisión de regresar por Macedonia.

And there abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.

4 Y Sopater de Berea, hijo de Pirro, y Aristarco y Segundo de Tesalónica, y Gayo de Derbe, y Timoteo, y Tíquico y Trófimo de Asia, fueron con él hasta Asia.

And there accompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.

5 Pero estos habían ido antes, y nos estaban esperando en Troas.

These going before tarried for us at Troas.

6 Y nos fuimos de Filipos en barco después de los días de los panes sin levadura, y vinimos a ellos a Troas en cinco días; y estuvimos allí por siete días.

And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.

7 Y el primer día de la semana, cuando nos habíamos reunido para la santa cena, Pablo les dio una charla, porque su propósito era irse el día después; y él continuó hablando hasta después de la mitad de la noche.

And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

8 Y había varias luces en la habitación donde nos habíamos reunido.

And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.

9 Y un joven llamado Eutico, que estaba sentado en la ventana, se durmió profundamente; y mientras Pablo continuaba hablando, siendo vencido por el sueño, tuvo una caída desde el tercer piso, y fue llevado muerto.

And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.

10 Y descendió Pablo y, cayendo sobre él, lo tomó en sus brazos y le dijo: No te preocupes, porque su vida está en él.

And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.

11 Y cuando subió, y tomó el pan partido, les habló por largo tiempo, hasta el amanecer, y luego se fue.

When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.

12 Y llevaron al muchacho vivo, y fueron consolados grandemente.

And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.

13 Pero nosotros, yendo delante de él en barco, fuimos a Asón con el propósito de llevar a Pablo allí; porque así había dado órdenes, porque él mismo venía por tierra.

And we went before to ship, and sailed unto Assos, there intending to take in Paul: for so had he appointed, minding himself to go afoot.

14 Y cuando subió con nosotros a Asón, lo tomamos en el barco y nos dirigimos a Mitilene.

And when he met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.

15 Y yendo de allí por mar, llegamos el día después de Quio opuesto; desembarcamos en Samos; hicimos escala en Trogilio, y el día después de eso, llegamos a Mileto.

And we sailed thence, and came the next day over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium; and the next day we came to Miletus.

16 Porque el propósito de Pablo era pasar a Efeso, para no retrasarse mucho en Asia; porque iba rápido, y de ser posible, para estar en Jerusalén el día de Pentecostés.

For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.

17 Y desde Mileto envió un mensaje a Efeso, llamó a los ancianos de la iglesia.

And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the Assembly.

18 Y cuando hubieron venido, les dijo: Ustedes mismos han visto cómo era mi vida todo el tiempo desde el día en que llegué a Asia,

And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,

19 haciendo el trabajo del Señor sin orgullo, a través de toda tristeza y lágrimas, que vino sobre mí a causa de los malvados planes de los judíos:

Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:

20 Y cómo no oculté nada que pudiera ser beneficioso para ustedes, enseñándoles públicamente y en privado,

And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,

21 Predicando a judíos y griegos la necesidad de arrepentimiento para con Dios y fe en el Señor Jesucristo.

Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

22 Y ahora, como ven, voy a Jerusalén, prisionero de espíritu, sin saber qué vendrá a mí allí:

And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

23 Lo único que sé es que, el Espíritu Santo me aclara de lo que me espera en cada ciudad la prisión y tribulaciones.

Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

24 Pero no valoro mi vida, aunque al final pueda ver el trabajo completo que me dio el Señor Jesús, ser testigo de las buenas nuevas de la gracia de Dios.

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

25 Y ahora soy consciente de que ustedes, entre quien he pasado predicando el reino de Dios, no verán mi rostro otra vez.

And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

26 Y así les digo hoy que no me siento culpable, estoy limpio de la sangre de todos los hombres.

Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

27 Porque no he ocultado de ustedes nada, siempre les anuncie los planes y propósito de Dios.

For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

28 Presten atención a sí mismos y por todo el rebaño que el Espíritu Santo ha dado a su cuidado, como pastores para que cuiden a la iglesia de Dios, por la cual él ganó con su sangre.

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the Assembly of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

29 Soy consciente de que después de que me haya ido, los lobos malvados entrarán entre ustedes, haciendo daño al rebaño;

For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

30 Y aun de entre ustedes vendrán hombres que enseñarán mentiras, para que los creyentes los sigan.

Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

31 Así que velen, teniendo en mente que durante tres años sin descansar les estaba enseñando a cada uno de ustedes, día y noche, con llanto.

Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

32 Y ahora, los entregó al cuidado de Dios y al mensaje de su amor, que puede hacerlos fuertes y crecer espiritualmente y darles herencia entre todos los santos.

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

33 No he deseado la plata, el oro ni la ropa de ningún hombre.

I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel.

34 Ustedes mismos han visto que con estas manos obtuve lo que era necesario para mí y para los que estaban conmigo.

Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.

35 En todas las cosas yo fui un ejemplo para ustedes de cómo, trabajando, deben ayudar a los débiles, y recordar las palabras del Señor Jesús, como él mismo dijo: Hay una bendición mayor en dar que en recibir.

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

36 Y habiendo dicho estas palabras, se puso de rodillas en oración con todos ellos.

And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.

37 Y todos lloraban, abrazando el cuello de Pablo y lo besaban.

And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul’s neck, and kissed him,

38 Más que nada triste porque les había dicho que no volverían a ver su rostro. Y entonces fueron con él al barco.

Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.
