Hechos 12
1 Ahora, en esa época, Herodes el rey hizo crueles ataques contra los cristianos.
BUT at that time Herodes the king, he who was surnamed Agripos, stretched forth hands upon some who were in the church, to ill-treat them.
2 Y mató a espada a Jacobo, el hermano de Juan.
And he killed with the sword Jakub the brother of Juhanon.
3 Y cuando vio que esto era agradable a los judíos, tomó a Pedro además. Esto fue en el momento de la fiesta de pan sin levadura.
And when he saw that this pleased the Jihudoyee, he added to apprehend also Shemun Kipha. And they were the days of the Phatiree.
4 Y arrestandolo, lo puso en la cárcel, con cuatro bandas de hombres armados para ser vigilado; su propósito llevarlo a la gente después de la Pascua.
And he apprehended him and cast him into the house of the bound, and delivered him to sixteen soldiers to keep him, that after the Petscha he might deliver him to the people of the Jihudoyee.
5 Así que Pedro fue encarcelado, pero la iglesia hizo una oración fuerte a Dios por él.
And while Shemun was kept in the house of the bound, constant prayer was offered by the church on his behalf unto Aloha.
6 Y cuando Herodes estaba a punto de sacarlo, esa misma noche Pedro estaba durmiendo encadenado entre dos hombres armados, y los atalayas vigilaban la puerta de la prisión.
And in that night of the coming morning when he should be delivered up, while Shemun slept between two soldiers, and bound with two chains, and the others were watching the gates of the house of the bound,
7 Y se vio una gran luz resplandeciente en la habitación, y un ángel del Señor vino a Pedro y, tocándolo de lado, y saliendo de su sueño, le dijo: Levántate pronto. Y sus cadenas salieron de sus manos.
the angel of the Lord stood over him, and light shined in all the house.
8 Entonces el ángel dijo: Ponte tus zapatos y prepárate para ir. Y lo hizo. Y él dijo: ponte el abrigo y ven conmigo.
And he smote him on his side, and said to him, Arise quickly. And the chains fell from his hands. And the angel said to him, bind thy loins, and put on thy sandals. And he did so. And again he said to him, Wrap thy mantle, and come after me.
9 Y salió tras él; y no estaba seguro de si lo hecho por el ángel era un hecho, porque le parecía que estaba viendo una visión.
And he went forth, and came after him; not knowing that what was done by the hand of the angel was reality, for he thought that he saw a vision.
10 Y cuando pasaron el primero y el segundo guardia, llegaron a la puerta de hierro que daba a la ciudad, que se abrió sola; y salieron y bajaron una calle; y luego el ángel se fue.
And when he had passed the first and second guard, they came to the gate of iron, and it was opened to them of its own accord. And when they went forth and had passed one street, the angel departed from him.
11 Y cuando Pedro recobró el sentido, dijo: Ahora, de cierto, estoy seguro de que el Señor envió a su ángel y me sacó de las manos de Herodes, en contra de todas las esperanzas de los judíos.
Then acknowledged Shemun, and said, Now know I in truth that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me from the hand of Herodes the king, and from that which the Jihudoyee had calculated against me.
12 Y cuando se hizo claro acerca de esto, fue a la casa de María, la madre de Juan llamado Marcos, donde varios de ellos se habían reunido para orar.
And when he had understood, he came to the house of Mariam the mother of Juhanon, he who is surnamed Markos; because many brethren were assembled there and praying.
13 Y dio un golpe en la puerta, y una joven muchacha llegó a ella, llamada Rode.
And he knocked at the gate of the court, and there came forth to answer him a damsel whose name was Roda.
14 Y oyendo la voz de Pedro, con gozo ella salió corriendo, sin abrir la puerta, para decir que Pedro estaba afuera.
And she knew the voice of Shemun; and for joy she opened not the gate, but returned with running, and said to them, Shemun, behold, stands at the gate of the court.
15 Y ellos le dijeron: Estás fuera de tu cabeza. Pero aún así ella aseguraba, que era así. Y ellos dijeron: Es su ángel.
And they said to her, Thou art altogether moved. And she contended that it was so. And they said, It may be that it is his angel.
16 Pero Pedro siguió dando golpes en la puerta; y cuando estuvo abierta y lo vieron, se llenaron de asombro.
And Shemun knocked at the gate; and they went forth, and seeing him they were astonished.
17 Pero él les hizo señas con la mano para que guardaran silencio, y les contó cómo el Señor lo había sacado de la cárcel. Y él dijo: dales las nuevas a Jacobo y a los hermanos. Y luego se fue.
And he beckoned to them with his hand to be silent; and entered, and showed them how the Lord had brought him out from the house of the bound. And he said to them, Show these to Jakub and to the brethren; and he departed and went to another place.
18 Cuando amanecía, los hombres armados se turbaron mucho sobre lo que había sido de Pedro.
And when it was morning there was made a great tumult among the soldiers concerning Shemun, what was become of him?
19 Y Herodes, cuando envió a buscarlo, y él no estaba allí, después de interrogar a los guardias, los hizo responsables y dio órdenes de que los mataran. Luego bajó de Judea a Cesarea por un tiempo.
But Herodes when he inquired and found him not, condemned the guards, and commanded that they should die. And he went forth from Jihud and came to Cesarea.
20 Ahora estaba muy enojado con la gente de Tiro y Sidón: y vinieron a él, todos juntos, y habiéndose hecho amigos de Blastos, el administrador de la casa del rey Herodes, hicieron un pedido de paz, porque su país dependía de el país del rey por su comida.
And because he was angry with the Tsuroyee and with the Tsaidonoyee, they gathered together and came to him by persuasion of Blestos the chamberlain of the king, and prayed of him that peace should be to them, because the sustenance of their country was from the kingdom of Herodes.
21 Y en el día que había sido arreglado, Herodes, vestido con sus ropas reales y sentado en tribunal, les hizo una declaración pública.
But upon a public day Herodes was clothed with the robe of royalty, and sat upon the tribunal, and he discoursed to an assembly.
22 Y el pueblo, con fuertes gritos, dijo: Es la voz de un dios, no de un hombre!
But all the people exclaimed, and said, These are the words of a god, and not of a man.
23 Y luego el ángel del Señor le envió enfermedad, porque no había dado la gloria a Dios; y su carne fue consumida por gusanos, y así llegó a su fin.
And on this account, because he gave not the glory to Aloha, in that hour the angel of the Lord smote him, and he was corroded with worms, and died.
24 Pero la palabra del Señor iba en aumento.
And the gospel of Aloha was proclaimed, and was great.
25 Y Bernabé y Saúl volvieron de Jerusalén, cuando terminaron su trabajo, llevando consigo a Juan, llamado Marcos.
BUT Bar Naba and Shaol returned from Urishlem to Antiokia after they had accomplished their ministry; and they took with them Juhanon who was called Markos.
