2 Reyes 13
1 En el año veintitrés de Joás, hijo de Ocozías, rey de Judá, Joacaz, hijo de Jehú, se convirtió en rey de Israel en Samaria, y gobernó durante diecisiete años.
In the thre and twentithe yeer of Joas, sone of Ocozie, kyng of Juda, Joachaz, sone of Hieu, regnede on Israel, in Samarie seuentene yeer.
2 Hizo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor, copiando los pecados de Jeroboam, el hijo de Nebat, lo que hizo e hizo que Israel hiciera; no se apartó de ellos.
And he dide yuel bifor the Lord, and he suede the synnes of Jeroboam, sone of Nabath, that made Israel to do synne; and he bowide not awei fro tho.
3 Entonces la ira del Señor se encendió contra Israel, y los entregó al poder de Hazael, rey de Siria, y al poder de Benadad, el hijo de Hazael, una y otra vez.
And the strong veniaunce of the Lord was wrooth ayens Israel, and he bitook hem in to the hondis of Azael, kyng of Sirie, and in the hond of Benadab, sone of Asael, in alle daies.
4 Entonces Joacaz oró al Señor, y el Señor le escuchó, porque vio cuán cruelmente oprimido era Israel por el rey de Siria.
Forsothe Joachaz bisouyte the face of the Lord, and the Lord herde hym; for he siy the anguysch of Israel, for the kyng of Sirie hadde al to brokun hem.
5 Y el Señor le dio a Israel un salvador, para que se liberaran de las manos de los sirios, y los hijos de Israel vivían en sus tiendas como en el pasado.
And the Lord yaf a sauyour to Israel, and he was delyuered fro the hond of the kyng of Sirie; and the sones of Israel dwelliden in her tabernaclis, as yistirdai and the thridde dai ago.
6 Pero aun así no abandonaron el pecado de Jeroboam, lo que hizo que Israel hiciera, sino que continuaron con él; y había una imagen de Asera en Samaria.

7 Porque de todo su ejército, Joacaz tenía sólo cincuenta jinetes y diez carruajes y diez mil soldados de infantería; el rey de Siria los había entregado a la destrucción, y hecho polvo.

8 Los demás hechos de Joacaz, y todo lo que hizo, y su gran poder, ¿no están registrados en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?
Forsothe the residue of wordis of Joachaz, and alle thingis whiche he dide, and the strength of hym, whether these ben not wrytun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Israel?
9 Y Joacaz durmió con sus padres, y fue enterrado en Samaria; y su hijo Joás se convirtió en rey en su lugar.
And Joachaz slepte with hise fadris, and thei birieden hym in Samarie; and Joas, his sone, regnyde for hym.
10 En el año treinta y siete del gobierno de Joás, rey de Judá, Joás, hijo de Joacaz, se convirtió en rey de Israel en Samaria, y gobernó durante dieciséis años.
In the seuenthe and threttithe yeer of Joas, king of Juda, Joas, sone of Joachaz, regnede on Israel in Samarie sixtene yeer.
11 Hizo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor, sin apartarse del pecado de Jeroboam, el hijo de Nabat, que hizo pecar a Israel, y siguió adelante pecando.
And he dide that, that is yuel in the siyt of the Lord; for he bowide not awei fro alle the synnes of Jeroboam, sone of Nabath, that made Israel to do synne; he yede in tho synnes.
12 El resto de los hechos de Joás, y todo lo que hizo, y la fuerza con que fue a la guerra contra Amasías, rey de Judá, no están registrados en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?
Forsothe the residue of wordis of Joas, and alle thingis whiche he dide, but also his strengthe, hou he fauyt ayens Amasie, kyng of Juda, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Israel?
13 Y Joás durmió con sus padres, y Jeroboam tomó su lugar como rey; y Joás fue enterrado en Samaria con los reyes de Israel.
And Joas slepte with hise fadris; forsothe Jeroboam sat on his trone. Sotheli Joas was biried in Samarie with the kyngis of Israel.
14 Entonces Eliseo se enfermó con la enfermedad que causó su muerte y descendió a él Joás, rey de Israel, y llorando sobre él, dijo: Mi padre, mi padre, los carros de Israel y sus jinetes.
Forsothe Elisee was sijk in sikenesse, bi which and he was deed; and Joas, kyng of Israel, yede doun to hym, and wepte bifor hym, and seide, My fadir! my fadir! the chare of Israel, and the charietere therof!
15 Entonces Eliseo le dijo: Toma arco y flechas, y él tomó arco y flechas.
And Elisee seide to hym, Brynge thou a bouwe and arowis. And whanne he hadde brouyte to Elisee a bouwe and arowis,
16 Entonces dijo al rey de Israel: Pon tu mano sobre el arco, y él puso su mano sobre él. y Eliseo puso sus manos sobre las manos del rey.
he seide to the kyng of Israel, Set thin hond on the bouwe. And whanne he hadde set his hond, Elisee settide his hondis on the hondis of the
17 Entonces dijo: Que la ventana se abra hacia el este: y la abrió. Entonces Eliseo dijo: Deja ir la flecha; y lo dejó ir. Y él dijo: La flecha de salvación del Señor, de la salvación contra Siria; porque vencerás a los sirios en Afec y les pondrás fin.

18 Y él dijo: Toma las flechas, y él las tomó. Y dijo al rey de Israel: Envíalos a la tierra; Y lo hizo tres veces y no más.
And Elisee seide, Take awei the arowis. And whanne he hadde take awei, Elisee seide eft to him, Smyte thou the erthe with a dart. And whanne he hadde smyte thre tymes,
19 Entonces el hombre de Dios se enojó con él y le dijo: Si lo hubieras hecho cinco o seis veces, habrías vencido a Siria completamente; Pero ahora solo los superarás tres veces.
and hadde stonde, the man of God was wrooth ayens hym, and seide, If thou haddist smyte fyue sithis, ether sixe sithis, ethir seuen sithis, thou schuldist haue smyte Sirie `til to the endyng; now forsothe thou schalt smyte it thre sithis.
20 Y vino la muerte a Eliseo, y lo enterraron. Ahora, en la primavera del año, las bandas armadas de moabitas venían con frecuencia, invadiendo la tierra.
Therfor Elisee was deed, and thei birieden hym. And the theuys of Moab camen in to the lond in that yeer.
21 Y mientras estaban sepultando a un hombre, vieron venir una banda; y pusieron al hombre rápidamente en el lugar donde estaba el cuerpo de Eliseo; y el hombre muerto, al tocar los huesos de Elisea, volvió a la vida y se puso de pie.
Forsothe sum men birieden a man, and thei siyen the theues, and thei castiden forth the deed bodi in the sepulcre of Elisee; and whanne it hadde touchid the bonys of Elisee, the man lyuede ayen, and stood on his feet.
22 E Israel fue oprimido bajo el poder de Hazael, rey de Siria, todos los días de Joacaz.
Therfor Azael, kyng of Sirie, turmentide Israel in alle the daies of Joachaz.
23 Pero el Señor fue amable con ellos y tuvo compasión de ellos, cuidándolos, debido a su acuerdo con Abraham, Isaac y Jacob; no los destruiría ni los enviaría lejos de su rostro hasta ahora.
And the Lord hadde merci on hem, and turnede ayen to hem for his couenaunt, which he hadde with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and he nolde distrie hem, nether cast awei outirli, til in to present tyme.
24 Entonces Hazael, rey de Siria, llegó a su fin; y Ben-adad su hijo se convirtió en rey en su lugar.
Forsothe Azael, kyng of Sirie, diede; and Benadad, his sone, regnede for hym.
25 Y Joás, el hijo de Joacaz, volvió a tomar de Ben-adad, el hijo de Hazael, las ciudades que había tomado de Joacaz su padre en la guerra. Tres veces Joás lo venció y volvió a los pueblos de Israel.
Forsothe Joas, sone of Joachas, took awei citees fro the hond of Benadad, sone of Asael, which he hadde take bi the riyt of batel fro the hoond of Joachaz, his fadir; Joas smoot hym thre tymes, and he yeldide the citees of Israel.
