2 Crónicas 26
1 Entonces toda la gente de Judá tomó a Uzías, que tenía dieciséis años, y lo hizo rey en lugar de su padre Amasías.
Then all the people of the land took Ozias, and he was sixteen years old, and they made him king in the room of his father Amasias.
2 Fue él que reconstruyó Elat, que regresó para Judá después de la muerte del rey.
He built Aelath, he recovered it to Juda, after the king slept with his fathers.
3 Uzías tenía dieciséis años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó en Jerusalén durante cincuenta y dos años; el nombre de su madre era Jecolias de Jerusalén.
Ozias began to reign at the age of sixteen years, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Jechelia of Jerusalem.
4 Hizo lo correcto ante los ojos del Señor, como lo había hecho su padre Amasías.
And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Amasias his father did.
5 Se dedicó a buscar a Dios en los días de Zacarías, que hizo sabios a los hombres en el temor de Dios; y mientras fue fiel al Señor, Dios lo prosperó.
And he sought the Lord in the days of Zacharias, who understood the fear of the Lord; and in his days he sought the Lord, and the Lord prospered him.
6 Salió e hizo la guerra contra los filisteos, derribando los muros de Gat y Jabnia y Asdod, y construyendo ciudades en el campo alrededor de Asdod entre los filisteos.
And he went out and fought against the Philistines, and pulled down the walls of Geth, and the walls of Jabner, and the walls of Azotus, and he built cities [near] Azotus, and among the Philistines.
7 Y Dios le dio ayuda contra los filisteos, y contra los árabes que viven en Gur-baal, y contra los de meunim.
And the Lord strengthened him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians that lived on the rock, and against the Minaeans.
8 Los amonitas hicieron ofrendas a Uzías; y noticias de él llegaron hasta el límite de Egipto; porque se hizo muy grande en poder.
And the Minaeans gave gifts to Ozias; and his fame spread as far as the entering in of Egypt, for he strengthened [himself] exceedingly.
9 Uzías hizo torres en Jerusalén, en la puerta de la esquina, en la puerta en el valle y en el giro de la esquina, los fortificó.
And Ozias built towers in Jerusalem, both at the gate of the corners, and at the valley gate, and at the corners and he fortified them.
10 Y él levantó torres en el desierto e hizo pozos para almacenar agua, porque tenía mucho ganado, en las llanuras y en las mesetas; y tenía granjeros y viticultores en las montañas y en la tierra fértil, porque era un amante de la agricultura.
And he built towers in the wilderness, and dug many wells, for he had many cattle in the low country and in the plain; and vinedressers in the mountain country and in Carmel: for he was a husbandman.
11 Además, Uzías tenía un ejército de guerreros que salían a la guerra en bandas, como habían sido listados por Jeiel el escriba y Maasias, el gobernante, bajo la autoridad de Hananías, uno de los capitanes del rey.
And Ozias had a host of warriors, and that went out orderly to war, and returned orderly in number; and their number was [made] by the hand of Jeiel the scribe, and Maasias the judge, by the hand of Ananias the king's deputy.
12 Los jefes de familia, los hombres de guerra fuertes, eran dos mil seiscientos.
The whole number of the chiefs of families of the mighty men of war [was] two thousand six hundred;
13 Y bajo sus órdenes había un ejército entrenado de trescientos siete mil quinientos, guerreros valientes ayudando al rey contra cualquiera que viniera contra él.
and with them was a warrior force, three hundred thousand and seven thousand and five hundred: these waged war mightily to help the king against [his] enemies.
14 Y Uzías tenía todas estas fuerzas armaduras y lanzas y cabezas protectoras y escudos, arcos y piedras para enviar desde bandas de cuero.
And Ozias prepared for them, [even] for all the host, shields, and spears, and helmets, and breastplates, and bows, and slings for stones.
15 Y en Jerusalén hizo máquinas, la invención de hombres expertos, para colocarlas en las torres y los ángulos de las paredes para enviar flechas y piedras grandes. Y su nombre fue honrado por todas partes; porque fue ayudado grandemente hasta que fue fuerte.
And he made in Jerusalem machines invented by a wise contriver, to be upon the towers and upon the corners, to cast darts and great stones: and [the fame] of their preparation was heard at a distance; for he was wonderfully helped, till he was strong.
16 Pero cuando se hizo fuerte, su corazón se enorgulleció, causando su destrucción; e hizo lo malo contra el SEÑOR su Dios; porque entró al Templo del Señor con el propósito de quemar incienso en el altar del incienso.
And when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction; and he transgressed against the Lord his God, and went into the temple of the Lord to turn incense on the altar of incense.
17 Luego entró el sacerdote Azarías con él, con ochenta sacerdotes del Señor, que eran hombres valientes;
And there went in after him Azarias the priest, and with him eighty priests of the Lord, mighty men.
18 E hicieron protestas al rey Uzías, y le dijeron: Él ofrecer incienso, Rey Uzías, no es asunto tuyo, sino de los sacerdotes, los hijos de Aarón, que han sido consagrados para este trabajo: Sal del lugar santo, porque has hecho mal, y no será para tu honor delante de Dios.
And they withstood Ozias the king, and said to him, [It is] not for you, Ozias, to burn incense to the Lord, but only for the priests the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to sacrifice: go forth of the sanctuary, for you have departed from the Lord; and this shall not be for glory to you from the Lord god.
19 Entonces Uzías se enojó; y tenía en su mano un recipiente para quemar incienso; y mientras su ira era amarga contra los sacerdotes, la marca de la enfermedad del leproso apareció en su frente, ante los ojos de los sacerdotes en la casa del Señor por el altar de los inciensos.
And Ozias was angry, and in his hand [was] the censer to burn incense in the temple: and when he was angry with the priests, then the leprosy rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of the Lord, over the altar of incense.
20 Y Azarías, el principal sacerdote, y todos los sacerdotes, mirándolo, vieron la marca del leproso en su frente, lo enviaron rápidamente y él mismo salió de inmediato, porque el castigo del Señor había venido sobre él.
And Azarias the chief priest, and the [other] priests, turned [to look] at him, and, behold, he [was] leprous in his forehead; and they got him hastily out thence, for he also hasted to go out, because the Lord had rebuked him.
21 Así que el rey Uzías fue un leproso hasta el día de su muerte, viviendo separado en su casa particular; porque fue cortado de la casa de Dios; y Jotam su hijo estaba gobernando su casa, juzgando a la gente de la tierra.
And Ozias the king was a leper to the day of his death, and he lived [as] a leper in a separate house; for he was cut off from the house of the Lord: and Joathan his son [was set] over his kingdom, judging the people of the land.
22 Ahora, el resto de los hechos de Uzías, desde él principio a fin, fueron registrados por el profeta Isaías, el hijo de Amoz.
And the rest of the acts of Ozias, the first and the last, [are] written by Jessias the prophet.
23 Y Uzías murió; y lo enterraron en el campo del cementerio real usado para los reyes, porque dijeron: Es un leproso, y Jotam su hijo se convirtió en rey en su lugar.
And Ozias slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the field of the burial [place] of the kings, for they said, He is a leper; and Joatham his son reigned in his stead.
