2 Crónicas 11
1 Y vino Roboam a Jerusalén y reunió a los hombres de Judá y Benjamín, ciento ochenta mil de sus mejores combatientes, para hacer la guerra contra Israel y recuperar el reino para Roboam.
Forsothe Roboam cam in to Jerusalem, and clepide togidere al the hows of Juda and of Beniamyn, `til to nyne scoore thousynde of chosen men and werriouris, for to fiyte ayens Israel, and for to turne his rewme to hym.
2 Pero la palabra del Señor vino a Semaías, el hombre de Dios, diciendo:
And the word of the Lord was maad to Semeye, the man of God,
3 Di a Roboam, hijo de Salomón, rey de Judá, y a todo Israel en Judá y Benjamín.
and seide, Speke thou to Roboam, the sone of Salomon, kyng of Juda, and to al Israel, which is in Juda and Beniamyn; The Lord seith these thingis,
4 El Señor ha dicho: No debes ir a la guerra contra tus hermanos; que cada uno regrese a su casa, porque esto es mi propósito. Así que escucharon las palabras del Señor y no lucharon contra Jeroboam.
Ye schulen not stie, nethir ye schulen fiyte ayens youre britheren; ech man turne ayen in to his hows, for this thing is doon bi my wille. And whanne thei hadden herd the word of the Lord, thei turneden ayen, and yeden not ayens kyng Jeroboam.
5 Ahora se guardó Roboam en Jerusalén, construyendo ciudades amuralladas en Judá.
Forsothe Roboam dwellide in Jerusalem, and he bildide wallid citees in Juda;
6 Fue el constructor de Belén y Etam y Tecoa.
and bildide Bethleem, and Ethan, and Thecue, and Bethsur;
7 Y Bet-sur, Soco, Adulam.
and Sochot, and Odollam;
8 Y Gat, Mareshah, Zif,
also and Jeth, and Maresa, and Ziph;
9 Y Adoraim, Laquis, Azeca,
but also Huram, and Lachis, and Azecha;
10 Y Zora, Ajalón, Hebrón, ciudades amuralladas de Judá y Benjamín.
and Saraa, and Hailon, and Ebron, that weren in Juda and Beniamyn, ful strong citees.
11 E hizo fuertes las ciudades amuralladas, y puso capitanes en ellas y almacenes de comida, aceite y vino.
And whanne he hadde closid tho with wallis, he settide `in tho citees princes, and bernes of metis, that is, of oile, and of wyn.
12 Y en cada ciudad puso provisiones de escudos y lanzas, y las hizo muy fuertes. Y Judá y Benjamín los mantuvo a su lado.
But also in ech citee he made placis of armuris of scheeldis, and speris, and he made tho strong with most diligence; and he regnyde on Juda and Beniamyn.
13 Y los sacerdotes y levitas que estaban en todo Israel se reunieron con él desde todas partes de su país.
Sotheli the preestis and dekenes, that weren in al Israel, camen to hym fro alle her seetis,
14 Porque los levitas abandonaron sus lugares de vida y sus bienes, y vinieron a Judá y Jerusalén; porque Jeroboam y sus hijos los habían enviado lejos, no dejando que fueran sacerdotes para el Señor;
and forsoken her subarbis and possessiouns, and thei passiden to Juda and to Jerusalem; for Jeroboam and hise aftir comeris hadden cast hem a wey, that thei schulden not be set in preesthod of the Lord;
15 Y él mismo hizo sacerdotes para los lugares altos, y para las imágenes de las cabras y los bueyes que había hecho.
which Jeroboam made to hym preestis of hiye places, and of feendis, and of caluys, which he hadde maad.
16 Y después de ellos, de todas las tribus de Israel, todos aquellos cuyos corazones estaban fijos y fieles al Señor, el Dios de Israel, llegaron a Jerusalén para hacer ofrendas al Señor, el Dios de sus antepasados.

17 Continuaron aumentando el poder del reino de Judá, e hicieron a Roboam, hijo de Salomón, fuerte por tres años. y por tres años anduvieron en los caminos de David y Salomón.
And thei strengthiden the rewme of Juda, and strengthiden Roboam, the sone of Salomon, bi thre yeer; for thei yeden in the weies of Dauid, and of Salomon, oneli bi thre yeer.
18 Y tomó Roboam como a su mujer Mahalat, hija de Jerimot, hijo de David y de Abihail, hija de Eliab, hijo de Isaí;
Forsothe Roboam weddide a wijf Malaoth, the douytir of Jerymuth, sone of Dauid, and Abiail, the douytir of Heliab, sone of Ysaye;
19 Y tuvo hijos junto a él, Jehus, Semarias y Zaham.
and sche childide to hym sones, Yeus, and Somorie, and Zerei.
20 Y después de ella tomó a Maaca, hija de Absalón; y tuvo a Abiam, Atai, Ziza y Selomit.
Also after this wijf he took Maacha, the douyter of Abissalon, and sche childide to hym Abia, and Thai, and Ziza, and Salomyth.
21 Maaca, la hija de Absalón, era más querida por Roboam que todas sus esposas y sus concubinas; porque tenía dieciocho esposas y sesenta concubinas, y era padre de veintiocho hijos y sesenta hijas.

22 Y Roboam hizo a Abías, hijo de Maaca, jefe y gobernante entre sus hermanos, porque su propósito era hacerlo rey.
Sotheli he ordeynede Abia, the sone of Maacha, in the heed, duyk ouer alle hise britheren; for he thouyte to make Abia kyng,
23 Y en su sabiduría tenía a sus hijos estacionados en cada pueblo amurallado por todas las tierras de Judá y Benjamín; y les dio una gran cantidad de comida, y tomó esposas para ellos.
for he was wisere and myytiere ouer alle hise sones, and in alle the coostis of Juda and of Beniamyn, and in alle wallid citees; and he yaf to hem ful many metis, and he had many wyues.
