1 Tesalonicenses 5
1 Pero sobre los tiempos y su orden, mis hermanos, no hay necesidad de que les diga nada.
Concerning now the times and the seasons, brothers, no need you have to you to be written;
2 Porque ustedes saben que el día del Señor vendrá como ladrón en la noche.
Yourselves for fully you know that (the *k*) day of [the] Lord as a thief by night in this manner comes;
3 Cuando dicen: Hay paz y no peligro, vendrá sobre ellos destrucción repentina, como dolores de parto en una mujer encinta; y no podrán escapar de eso.
when (for *k*) they may say; Peace and security, then suddenly upon them comes destruction as the labor pains to her in womb [pregnancy] having, and certainly not shall they escape.
4 Pero ustedes, mis hermanos, no están a oscuras, para que ese día los alcance como a un ladrón.
You yourselves however, brothers, not are in darkness, that the day you like (a thief *NK(O)*) may grasp;
5 Porque todos ustedes son hijos de la luz y del día; no somos de la noche ni de la oscuridad.
All (for *no*) you yourselves sons of light are and sons of day; Not we are of night nor of darkness.
6 Entonces, no descansemos como lo hacen los demás, pero seamos alertas y sobrios.
So then not we may sleep as (also *k*) the others but we may watch and we may be sober.
7 Porque los que duermen lo hacen en la noche; y los que se emborrachan, se emborrachan de noche;
Those for sleeping by night sleep and those becoming drunk by night get drunk;
8 Pero nosotros, que somos del día, seamos serios, poniéndonos la coraza de la fe y el amor, y sobre nuestras cabezas, como un casco la esperanza de la salvación.
We ourselves however of [the] day being may be sober having put on [the] breastplate of faith and love and [the] helmet [the] hope of salvation;
9 Porque el propósito de Dios para nosotros no es la ira, sino la salvación por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo,
because not has destined us God for wrath but for obtaining salvation through the Lord of us Jesus Christ
10 Quien murió por nosotros, para que, despierto o durmiendo, tengamos parte en su vida.
the [One who] having died (for *NK(o)*) us, so that whether we shall watch or we shall sleep together with Him we may live.
11 Entonces, continúen consolando y edificándose unos a otros, como lo han estado haciendo.
Therefore do encourage one another and do build up one another even as also you are doing.
12 Pero les pedimos esto, hermanos míos: respeten y valoren a los que trabajan entre ustedes, que están sobre ustedes en el Señor para mantener el orden entre ustedes;
We implore however you, brothers, to know those toiling among you and taking the lead over you in [the] Lord and admonishing you
13 Y tengan una alta opinión y amor a causa de su trabajo. Estén en paz entre ustedes mismos,
and to esteem them super overexcessively super overexcessively super overexcessively in love because of the work of them. do be at peace among (yourselves. *NK(O)*)
14 Y nuestro deseo es que mantengan el control sobre aquellos cuyas vidas no están bien ordenadas, dando consuelo a los débiles de corazón, apoyando a aquellos con poca fuerza y Sean pacientes con todos.
We exhort now you, brothers, do admonish the unruly, do encourage the fainthearted, do help the weak, do be patient toward all.
15 Que nadie dé mal por mal; pero siempre vean lo que es bueno, el uno para el otro y para todos.
do see that no one evil for evil to anyone may repay, but always the good do pursue also toward one another and toward all.
16 Tener alegría en todo momento.
Always do rejoice;
17 Oren sin cesar.
Unceasingly do pray;
18 En todo da gloria, porque este es el propósito de Dios en Cristo Jesús para ustedes.
In everything do give thanks; this for [is the] will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
19 No apagues el fuego del Espíritu;
The Spirit not do quench;
20 No menosprecies las profecías;
Prophecies not do despise;
21 Someterlo todo a prueba; mantener lo que es bueno;
All things (now *no*) do test; To the good do hold fast;
22 Absténganse de toda apariencia de maldad.
From every form of evil do abstain.
23 Y que el Dios de la paz los santifique a todos; y que su espíritu y alma y cuerpo sean libres de todo pecado en la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
Himself now the God of peace would sanctify you completely, and entirely your spirit and soul and body blameless at the coming of the Lord of us Jesus Christ would be preserved.
24 Él que los ha llamado es fiel, es fiel y cumplirá todo esto.
[Is] faithful the [One] calling you, who also will do [it].
25 Hermanos, oren por nosotros.
Brothers, do pray (also *no*) for us.
26 Dale a todos los hermanos un beso santo.
do greet the brothers all with a kiss holy.
27 Doy órdenes en el nombre del Señor de que todos los hermanos estén presentes en la lectura de esta carta.
(I adjure *N(k)O*) you [by] the Lord to be read [this] letter to all the (saints *K*) brothers.
28 La gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con ustedes. Amén.
