1 Samuel 23

1 Y enviaron un mensaje a David, diciendo: Los filisteos están atacando Keila y saqueando el grano trillado.

And thei telden to Dauid, and seiden, Lo! Filisteis fiyten ayens Seila, and rauyschen the corn floris.

2 Entonces David, preguntando al Señor, dijo: ¿Voy a ir y atacar a estos filisteos? Y el Señor le dijo a David: Ve y ataca a los filisteos para evitar que Keila caiga en sus manos.

Therfor Dauid councelide the Lord, and seide, Whether Y schal go, and smyte Filisteis? And the Lord seide to Dauid, Go thou, and thou schalt smyte Filisteis, and thou schalt saue Seila.

3 Y los hombres de David le dijeron: Incluso aquí en Judá estamos llenos de miedo: ¿cuánto más entonces si vamos a Keila contra los ejércitos de los filisteos?

And men, that weren with Dauid, seiden to him, Lo! we ben heere in Judee, and dredden; hou myche more, if we schulen go in to Seila ayens the cumpanyes of Filisteis.

4 Entonces David volvió a dirigir la pregunta al Señor, y el Señor le respondió: ¡Arriba! baja a Keila; porque entregaré a los filisteos en tus manos.

Therfor eft Dauid councelide the Lord; which answeride, and seide to Dauid, Rise thou, and go `in to Seila; for Y schal bitake Filisteis in thin hond.

5 Entonces David y sus hombres fueron a Keila, se pelearon con los filisteos, se llevaron su ganado y los arrojaron a la espada con gran destrucción. Así que David fue el salvador de la gente de Keila.

Therfor Dauid yede, and hise men, in to Seila, and fauyt ayens Filisteis; and he droof awey her werk beestis, and smoot hem with greet wounde; and Dauid sauyde the dwelleris of Seila.

6 Cuando Abiatar, el hijo de Ahimelec, huyendo se dirigió a David, bajó a Keila con el efod en la mano.

Forsothe in that tyme, `wher ynne Abiathar, sone of Achymelech, fledde to Dauid in to Seile, he cam doun, and hadde with hym `ephoth, that is, the cloth of the hiyeste preest.

7 Y a Saúl se le dieron noticias de que David había venido a Keila. Y Saúl dijo: Ahora, Dios lo ha entregado en mis manos; porque al entrar en una ciudad amurallada con puertas cerradas, se dejó encerrar.

Forsothe it was teld to Saul, that Dauid hadde come in to Seila; and Saul seide, The Lord hath take hym in to myn hondis, and he `is closid, and entride in to a citee, in which ben yatis and lockis.

8 Entonces Saúl envió a toda la gente a la batalla y bajó a Keila para atacar a David y sus hombres.

And Saul comaundide to al the puple, that it schulde go doun to batel in to Seila, and bisege Dauid and hise men.

9 Y a David le quedó claro que Saúl tenía malas intenciones contra él, y le dijo al sacerdote Abiatar: Ven aquí con el efod.

And whanne Dauid perceyuede, that Saul made redi yuel priueli to hym, he seide to Abiathar, preest, Brynge hidur ephoth.

10 Entonces dijo David: Señor, Dios de Israel, se le han dado noticias a tu siervo de que Saúl tiene el propósito de venir a Keila y enviar destrucción al pueblo por mi culpa.

And Dauid seide, Lord God of Israel, thi seruaunt `herde fame, that Saul disposith to come to Seila, that he distrie the citee for me;

11 Y ahora, ¿es verdad, como me han dicho, que Saúl viene? Señor, Dios de Israel, escucha a tu siervo y di si esto es así. Y el Señor dijo: Está bajando.

if the men of Seila schulen bitake me in to hise hondis, and if Saul schal come doun, as thi seruaunt herde, thou Lord God of Israel schewe to thi seruaunt? And the Lord seide, He schal come doun.

12 Entonces David dijo: ¿Me entregarán los hombres de Keila y mis hombres a Saúl? Y el Señor dijo: Te entregarán.

And Dauid seide eft, Whether the men of Seila schulen bitake me, and the men that ben with me, in to the hondis of Saul? And the Lord seide, Thei schulen bitake, `that is, if thou dwellist in the citee, and Saul come thidur.

13 Entonces, David y sus hombres, unos seiscientos de ellos, salieron de Keila y se escaparon a donde pudieron ir. Y Saúl, al saber que David se había alejado de Keila, no fue allí.

Therfor Dauid roos, and hise men, as sixe hundrid; and thei yeden out of Seila, and wandriden vncerteyn hidur and thidur. And it was telde to Saul, that Dauid hadde fledde fro Seila, and was saued; wherfor Saul dissymylide to go out.

14 Y David se mantuvo en el desierto, en lugares seguros, esperando en la región montañosa en el desierto de Zif. Y Saúl lo buscaba todos los días, pero Dios no lo entregó en sus manos.

Forsothe Dauid dwellide in the deseert, in strongeste places, and he dwellide in the hil of wildirnesse of Ziph, in a derk hil; netheles Saul souyte hym in alle daies, and the Lord bitook not hym in to the hondis of Saul.

15 Y David se llenó de temor, sabiendo que Saúl había salido a tomar su vida; y David estaba en el desierto de Zif, en Hores.

And Dauid siy, that Saul yede out, that he schulde seke his lijf. Forsothe Dauid was in the deseert of Ziph, in a wode.

16 Entonces Jonatán, hijo de Saúl, fue a ver a David en Hores y fortaleció sus manos en Dios;

And Jonathas, the sone of Saul, roos, and yede to Dauid in to the wode, and coumfortide hise hondis in God.

17 Y le dijo: No temas, porque mi padre Saul no te pondrá en su poder; y serás rey de Israel, y yo seré tu segundo, y aun mi padre Saúl sabe esto.

And he seide to Dauid, Drede thou not; for the hond of Saul my fadir schal not fynde thee, and thou schalt regne on Israel, and Y schal be the secounde to thee; but also Saul my father woot this.

18 Y los dos llegaron a un acuerdo delante del Señor, y David siguió viviendo en Hores, y Jonatán volvió a su casa.

Therfor euer eithir smoot boond of pees bifor the Lord. And Dauid dwellide in the wode; forsothe Jonathas turnede ayen in to his hows.

19 Entonces los hombres de Zif se acercaron a Guibeá para ver a Saúl y dijeron: ¿Acaso David no vive secretamente entre nosotros en las fortalezas de Hores, en la colina de Haquila, al sur del desierto?

Forsothe men of Ziph stieden to Saul in Gabaa, and seiden, Lo! whether not Dauid is hid at vs in the sikireste places of the wode, in the hille of Achille, which is at the riyt syde of deseert?

20 Ahora, oh rey, de acuerdo al deseo de tu alma desciende, y nosotros, por nuestra parte, lo entregaremos en manos del rey.

Now therfor come thou doun, as thi soule desiride, that thou schuldist come doun; forsothe it schal be oure, that we bitake hym in to the hondis of the kyng.

21 Y Saúl dijo: La bendición del Señor será de ustedes, porque han tenido compasión de mí.

And Saul seide, Blessid be ye of the Lord, for ye sorewiden `for my stide.

22 Ve ahora, sigue buscando su escondite: porque dicen que es experto en el engaño.

Therfor, Y preie, go ye, and make redi more diligentli, and do ye more curiousli ether intentifli, and biholde ye swiftly, where his foot is, ethir who siy hym there, where ye seiden; for he thenkith on me, that felli Y aspie hym.

23 Así que fijense de conocer todos los lugares secretos donde él se está escondiendo, y asegúrense de volver a mí y yo iré con ustedes, y sin duda, si él está en algún lugar de la tierra, lo buscaré, entre todas las familias de Judá.

Biholde ye, and se alle his hidyng places, in whiche he is hid, and turne ye ayen to me at a certeyn thing, that Y go with you; that if he closith hym silf yhe in to erthe, Y schal seke hym with alle the thousyndis of Juda.

24 Y volvieron y llegaron a Zif delante de Saúl; pero David y sus hombres se encontraban en el desierto de Maón, en la planicie del sur del desierto.

And thei risiden, and yeden in to Ziph bifor Saul. Forsothe Dauid and hise men weren in the deseert of Maon, in the feldi places, at the riyt half of Jesymyth.

25 Y Saúl y sus hombres fueron a buscarlo. Y David se enteró, así que bajó a la roca en el desierto de Maón. Y Saúl, oyendo esto, fue tras David al desierto de Maón.

Therfor Saul yede and hise felowis to seke Dauid, and it was teld to Dauid; and anoon he yede doun to the stoon, and lyuyde in the deseert of Maon; and whanne Saul hadde herd this, he pursuede Dauid in the deseert of Maon.

26 Y Saúl y sus hombres fueron a un lado de la montaña, y David y sus hombres fueron al otro, y el propósito de David era escapar lo más rápido posible, por temor a Saúl; porque Saúl y sus hombres hacían un círculo alrededor de David y sus hombres para atraparlos.

And Saul yede and hise men at the side of the hil `on o part; forsothe Dauid and hise men weren in the side of the hil on the tother part; sotheli Dauid dispeiride, that he myyte ascape fro the face of Saul. And so Saul and hise men cumpassiden bi the maner of a coroun Dauid and hise men, that thei schulden take hem.

27 Pero un hombre vino a Saúl, diciendo: Anda y ven; porque los filisteos han atacado la tierra.

And a messanger cam to Saul, and seide, Haste thou, and come, for Filisteis han spred hem silf on the lond.

28 De modo que, volviendo de perseguir a David, Saúl fue contra los filisteos. Así se llamó a ese lugar peñasco de la separación.

Therfor Saul turnede ayen, and ceesside to pursue Dauid; and yede ayens the comyng of Filisteis. For this thing thei clepen that place the Stoon Departynge.

29 Y de allí, David subió y se escondió en las fortalezas de En-gedi.

Therfor Dauid stiede fro thennus, and dwellide in the sykireste places of Engaddi.
