1 Samuel 2

1 Y Ana, en oración delante del Señor, dijo: Mi corazón se alegra en el Señor, mi fuerza se exalta en el Señor; mi boca se ríe de mis enemigos; Porque mi gozo está en tu salvación.

And Anna worschipide, and seide, Myn herte fulli ioiede in the Lord, and myn horn is reisid in my God; my mouth is alargid on myn enemyes, for Y was glad in thin helthe.

2 Ningún otro es santo como el Señor, porque no hay otro Dios sino tú. No hay Roca como nuestro Dios.

Noon is hooli as the Lord is; `for noon other is, outakun thee, and noon is strong as oure God.

3 No digan más palabras de altanería y orgullo; Que no salgan de tu boca palabras arrogantes el Señor es un Dios de conocimiento, por él los actos son juzgados.

Nyle ye multiplie to speke hiye thingis, and haue glorie; elde thingis go awey fro youre mouth; for God is Lord of kunnyngis, and thouytis ben maad redi to hym.

4 Los arcos de los hombres de guerra están rotos, y los débiles están vestidos con fuerza.

The bouwe of strong men is ouercomun, and sijk men ben gird with strengthe.

5 Los que antes tenían de sobra pan, se ofrecen como siervos por el pan; los necesitados ya no tienen hambre; en verdad, la que no tuvo hijos se ha convertido en madre de siete hijos; y la que tenía familia languidece.

Men fillid bifore settiden hem silf to hire for looues, and hungri men ben fillid; while the bareyn womman childide ful manye, and sche that hadde many sones, was sijke.

6 El Señor es el dador de la muerte y la vida; envía a los hombres al sepulcro y nos levanta del sepulcro. (Sheol h7585)

The Lord sleeth, and quikeneth; he ledith forth to hellis, and bryngith ayen. (Sheol h7585)

7 El Señor da riqueza y nos hace pobres; nos hace caer y nos levanta;

The Lord makith pore, and makith riche; he makith low, and reisith.

8 Levantando a los pobres del polvo, y al necesitado del lugar más bajo, para darles su lugar entre los gobernantes, y para su herencia, la sede de la gloria porque los pilares de la tierra son del Señor y él los ha hecho la base del mundo.

He reisith a nedi man fro poudur, and `he reisith a pore man fro dryt, that he sitte with princes, and holde the seete of glorie; for the endis of erthe ben of the Lord, and he hath set the world on tho.

9 Él mantendrá los pies de sus santos, pero los malhechores llegarán a su fin en la noche oscura, porque nadie vencerá con sus propias fuerzas.

He schal kepe `the feet of hise seyntis, and wickid men schulen be stille to gidere in derknessis; for a man schal not be maad strong in his owne strengthe.

10 Los que hacen guerra contra el Señor serán quebrantados; contra ellos enviará su trueno desde el cielo, el Señor será el juez de los confines de la tierra, dará fuerza a su rey y alzará el poderío de su ungido.

Aduersaries of the Lord schulen drede hym, and in heuenes he schal thundre on hem; the Lord schal deme the endis of erthe, and he schal yyue lordschip to his kyng, and he schal enhaunse the horn, `that is, power, of his Crist.

11 Entonces Elcana fue a Ramá a su casa. Y el niño se convirtió en el siervo del Señor bajo la dirección del sacerdote Elí.

And Helcana yede in to Ramatha, in to his hows; forsothe the child was seruaunt in the siyt of the Lord bifor the face of Ely the preest.

12 Ahora bien, los hijos de Elí eran hombres corruptos, que no tenían conocimiento del Señor.

Forsothe the sones of Hely weren sones of Belial,

13 Y la costumbre de los sacerdotes con la gente era esta: cuando un hombre hacía una ofrenda, el sirviente del sacerdote llegaba mientras la carne estaba siendo cocinada, teniendo en su mano un gancho de carne con tres dientes;

and knewen not the Lord, nether the office of preestis to the puple; but who euer hadde offrid sacrifice, the child of the preest cam, while the fleischis weren in sething, and he hadde a fleischhook with thre teeth in his hond;

14 Lo metía en la olla, y todo lo que sacaba en el gancho que el sacerdote tomaba para sí mismo. Esto hicieron en Silo a todos los israelitas que llegaron allí.

and he sente it in to the `grete vessel of stoon, ethir in to the caudrun, ethir in to the pot, ethir in to the panne; and what euer thing the fleischhook reiside, the preest took to hym silf; so thei diden to al Israel of men comynge in to Silo.

15 Y más que esto, antes de que se quemara la grasa, el siervo del sacerdote vendría y diría al hombre que estaba haciendo la ofrenda: Dame un poco de la carne que se cocinará para el sacerdote; no le gustan las carnes cocidas en agua, pero le gustaría que las dieras sin cocinar.

Yhe bifor that `the sones of Hely brenten the ynnere fatnesse, the `child of the preest cam, and seyde to the offerere, Yyue `thou fleisch to me, that Y sethe to the preest; for Y schal not take of thee sodun fleisch, but raw.

16 Y si el hombre contestaba: Primero que se queme la grasa, entonces toma todo lo que quieras; entonces el sirviente contestó: No, me lo darás ahora o lo tomaré por la fuerza.

And `the offrere seide to hym, The ynnere fatnesse be brent first to day bi the custom, and take thou to thee hou myche euer thi soule desirith. Whiche answeride, and seide to hym, Nay, for thou schalt yyue now; ellis Y schal take bi violence.

17 Y el pecado de estos jóvenes era muy grande delante del Señor; porque no dieron honor a las ofrendas del Señor.

Therfor the synne of the children was ful greuouse bifor the Lord; for thei withdrowen men fro the `sacrifice of the Lord.

18 Pero Samuel hizo la obra de la casa del Señor, mientras era niño, vestido con un efod de lino.

`Forsothe Samuel, a child gird with a lynnun clooth, mynystride bifor the face of the Lord.

19 Y su madre le hizo una pequeña túnica y se la llevó cada año cuando ella venía con su esposo para la ofrenda del año.

And his moder made to hym a litil coote, which sche brouyte in daies ordeyned, and stiede with hir hosebonde, that he schulde offre a solempne offryng, and his auow.

20 Y cada año, Elí dio a Elcana y a su esposa una bendición, diciendo: Que el Señor te dé descendencia por esta mujer a cambio del hijo que le has dado al Señor. Y volvieron a su casa.

And Heli blesside Helcana and his wijf; and Heli seide `to hym, The Lord yelde to thee seed of this womman, for the yifte which thou hast youe to the Lord. And thei yeden in to her place.

21 Y él Señor tuvo misericordia de Ana, y ella dio a luz tres hijos y dos hijas. Y el joven Samuel se hizo mayor ante el Señor.

Therfor the Lord visitide Anna, and sche conseyuede, and childide thre sones and twei douytris. And the child Samuel was `magnyfied at the Lord.

22 Y Elí era muy viejo; y tenía noticias de vez en cuando de lo que sus hijos estaban haciendo a todo Israel y que se acostaban con las mujeres que velaban a la entrada del tabernáculo de reunión.

Forsothe Hely was ful eld, and he herde alle `thingis whiche hise sones diden in al Israel, and hou thei slepten with wymmen, that awaitiden at the dore of the tabernacle.

23 Y él les dijo: ¿Por qué hacen tales cosas? porque de todas estas personas recibo cuentas de tus malos caminos.

And he seide to hem, Whi doen ye siche thingis, the worste thingis whiche Y here of al the puple?

24 No, hijos míos, el relato que me ha sido dado y que el pueblo del Señor está enviando no es bueno.

Nyle ye, my sones; it is not good fame, which Y here, that ye make the `puple of the Lord to do trespas.

25 Si un hombre hace mal a otro, Dios será su juez: pero si el pecado de un hombre es contra el Señor, ¿quién tomará su causa? Pero no prestaron atención a la voz de su padre, porque el propósito del Señor era enviar destrucción sobre ellos.

If a man synneth ayens a man, God may be plesid to him; forsothe if a man synneth ayens the Lord, who schal preye for hym? And thei herden not the vois of her fadir, for God wolde sle hem.

26 Y el joven Samuel, haciéndose mayor, tuvo la aprobación del Señor y de los hombres.

Forsothe the child Samuel profitide, and encreessyde, and pleside bothe God and men.

27 Entonces un hombre de Dios vino a Elí y le dijo: El Señor dice: ¿Me dejé ver por el pueblo de tu padre cuando estaban en Egipto, sirvientes en la casa de Faraón?

Sotheli a man of God cam to Hely, and seide to hym, The Lord seith these thingis, Whether Y was not schewid apertli to the hows of thi fadir, whanne he was in Egipt, in the hows of Farao?

28 ¿Lo saqué de todas las tribus de Israel para que fuera mi sacerdote y subiera a mi altar para hacer subir el humo de las ofrendas y tomar el efod? ¿Le di a la familia de tu padre todas las ofrendas hechas por el fuego de los hijos de Israel?

And Y chees hym of alle lynagis of Israel `in to preest to me, that he schulde stie to myn auter, and schulde brenne encense to me, and that he schulde bere bifor me preestis cloth; and Y yaf to `the hows of thi fadir alle thingis of the sacrifices of the sones of Israel.

29 ¿Por qué, pues, miran con desprecio mis ofrendas de carne y de la comida que ordenó mi palabra, honrando a tus hijos antes que a mí y los engordas con todas las ofrendas de Israel, mi pueblo?

Whi hast thou cast awey with the heele my sacrifice, and my yiftis, whiche Y comaundide to be offrid in the temple; and thou onouridst more thi sones than me, that ye eeten the principal partis of ech sacrifice of `Israel, my puple?

30 Por esta razón, el Señor Dios de Israel ha dicho: En verdad, dije que tu familia y la gente de tu padre tendrían su lugar ante mí para siempre; pero ahora el Señor dice: No sea así; Honraré a aquellos por quienes soy honrado, y aquellos que no me respetan tendrán poco valor a mis ojos.

Therfor the Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Y spekynge spak, that thin hows and `the hows of thi fadir schulde mynystre in my siyt til in to with outen ende; `now forsothe the Lord seith, Fer be this fro me; but who euere onourith me, Y schal glorifie hym; forsothe thei that dispisen me, schulen be vnnoble.

31 Mira, vendrán días cuando tu brazo y el brazo de la gente de tu padre serán cortados;

Lo! daies comen, and Y schal kitte awei thin arm, and the arm of the hows of thi fadir, that an eld man be not in thin hows.

32 Verás un enemigo en mi altar y verás con angustia y envidia todo él bien que yo hago en Israel, nunca más habrá un anciano en tu familia.

And thou schalt se thin enemy in the temple, in alle prosperitees of Israel; and an eld man schal not be in thin hows in alle daies.

33 Pero un hombre de tu familia no será cortado por mi mano, y estará cerca del altar; sus ojos se llenarán de envidia, y el dolor estará en su corazón: y toda la descendencia de tu familia llegará a su fin por la espada de los hombres.

Netheles Y schal not outerli take awei of thee a man fro myn auter, but that thin iyen faile, and thi soule faile; and greet part of thin hows schal die, whanne it schal come to mannus age.

34 Y esta será la señal para ti, que vendrá sobre Ofni y Finees, tus hijos; la muerte los alcanzará el mismo día.

Forsothe this schal be signe, that schal come to thi twei sones Ophym and Fynees, bothe schulen die in o dai.

35 Y haré un verdadero sacerdote para mí, uno que hará lo que está en mi corazón y en mi mente; y haré para él una familia que no llegará a su fin; y su lugar estará delante de mi santo para siempre.

And Y schal reise to me a feithful preest, that schal do bi myn herte and my soule; and Y schal bilde to hym a feithful hows, and he schal go bifore my Crist in alle daies.

36 Entonces, el resto de tu familia, cualquiera que no haya sido cortado, se arrodillará ante él por un poco de plata o un poco de pan, y le dirá: “te ruego que me des un trabajo entre los sacerdotes” para que pueda ganar un poco de comida.

Forsothe it schal come, that who euer dwellith in thin hows, he come that `me preie for him, and that he offre a peny of siluer, and a cake of breed, and seie, Y biseche, suffre thou me to o `part of the preest, that Y ete a mussel of breed.
