1 Samuel 11
1 Aproximadamente un mes después de esto, Nahas, el amonita, se acercó y puso sus fuerzas en posición para atacar a Jabes de Galaad: y todos los hombres de Jabes dijeron a Nahas: Hagan un acuerdo con nosotros y seremos sus siervos.
And he went up Nahash the Ammonite and he encamped on Jabesh Gilead and they said all [the] men of Jabesh to Nahash make to us a covenant and we will serve you.
2 Y Nahas, el amonita, les dijo: Haré un pacto con ustedes con esta condición, que a todos ustedes les saque el ojo derecho; para que pueda hacer una vergüenza para todo Israel.
And he said to them Nahash the Ammonite by this I will make to you by gouging out of you every eye of [the] right [side] and I will make it a reproach on all Israel.
3 Entonces los hombres responsables de Jabes le dijeron: Danos siete días para que podamos enviar hombres a todas las partes de Israel, y luego, si nadie viene en nuestra ayuda, acudiremos a ti.
And they said to him [the] elders of Jabesh refrain to us seven days so let us send messengers in all [the] territory of Israel and if there not [is one who] delivers us and we will come out to you.
4 Entonces enviaron representantes a la ciudad de Saúl, Guibea, y éstos dieron la noticia a la gente: y toda la gente se entregó a llorar.
And they came the messengers Gibeah of Saul and they spoke the words in [the] ears of the people and they lifted up all the people voice their and they wept.
5 Entonces vino Saúl del campo, llevando los bueyes delante de él; Y él dijo: ¿Por qué llora la gente? Y le dieron palabra de lo que habían dicho los hombres de Jabes.
And there! Saul [was] coming after the cattle from the field and he said Saul what? [is] to the people that they are weeping and they recounted to him [the] words of [the] men of Jabesh.
6 Al oír estas palabras, el espíritu de Dios vino a Saúl con poder, y él se enojó mucho.
And it rushed [the] spirit of God on Saul (just as heard he *Q(K)*) the words these and it burned anger his exceedingly.
7 Y tomó dos bueyes y, cortándolos, los envió por toda la tierra de Israel por mano de mensajeros, diciendo: Si alguno no sale después de Saúl y Samuel, esto se hará a sus bueyes Y el temor del Señor vino sobre la gente y salió como un solo hombre.
And he took a pair of ox[en] and he cut in pieces it and he sent [them] in all [the] territory of Israel by [the] hand of the messengers - saying [the one] who not he [is] coming out after Saul and after Samuel thus it will be done to ox[en] his and it fell [the] dread of Yahweh on the people and they came out like a man one.
8 Y los hizo contar en Bezec; los hijos de Israel eran trescientos mil, y los hombres de Judá treinta mil.
And he mustered them at Bezek and they were [the] people of Israel three hundred thousand and [the] man of Judah [was] thirty thousand.
9 Entonces dijo a los representantes que habían venido: Di a los hombres de Jabes de Galaad: Mañana, cuando el sol esté alto, estarás a salvo. Y los representantes vinieron y dieron la noticia a los hombres de Jabes; y se alegraron.
And they said to the messengers who had come thus you will say! to [the] man of Jabesh Gilead tomorrow it will belong to you deliverance (like [the] heat of *Q(K)*) the sun and they went the messengers and they told to [the] men of Jabesh and they were glad.
10 Entonces los hombres de Jabes dijeron: Mañana nos entregaremos a ti, y puedes hacer lo que te parezca bien con nosotros.
And they said [the] men of Jabesh tomorrow will we go out to you and you will do to us according to all the good in view your.
11 Al día siguiente, Saúl juntó a la gente en tres escuadrones, y por la mañana, observaron el campamento de los amonitas y siguieron atacándolos hasta el calor del día: y los que quedaron fueron esparcidos a todas direcciones, de modo que no había dos de ellos juntos.
And it was from [the] next day and he made Saul the people three companies and they went in [the] midst of the camp in [the] watch of the morning and they struck down Ammon until [the] heat of the day and it was those [who] remained and they were scattered and not they remained among them two together.
12 Y el pueblo dijo a Samuel: ¿Quién fue el que dijo: ¿Es Saúl nuestro rey? Danos a los hombres para que los matemos.
And it said the people to Samuel who? [is] the [one who] said Saul will he reign? over us deliver up the men so we may put to death them.
13 Y Saúl dijo: Nadie ha de ser muerto hoy, porque hoy el Señor ha salvado a Israel.
And he said Saul not he will be put to death anyone on the day this for this day he has done Yahweh deliverance in Israel.
14 Entonces Samuel dijo al pueblo: Vamos, vayamos a Gilgal y renovemos el reino en manos de Saúl.
And he said Samuel to the people come so let us go Gilgal so we may renew there the kingship.
15 Y todo el pueblo fue a Gilgal; y allí en Gilgal hicieron a Saúl rey delante del Señor; y las ofrendas de paz fueron ofrecidas delante del Señor; y allí se alegraron con gran alegría Saúl y todos los hombres de Israel.
And they went all the people Gilgal and they made king there Saul before Yahweh in Gilgal and they sacrificed there sacrifices peace offerings before Yahweh and he rejoiced there Saul and all [the] men of Israel up to muchness.
