1 Pedro 2
1 Así que, desechando toda malicia, todos los engaños, envidias, hipocresías y malas palabras,
MAKE to cease therefore from you all malice and all guile, and dissimulation, and envy, and slander;
2 Sed llenos de deseo por la leche verdadera de la palabra, como bebés recién nacidos, para que puedan avanzar hacia la salvación;
and be as (new)-born babes, and be desirous of the word as of milk pure and spiritual, that by it you may increase unto life.
3 Si has probado la gracia del Señor.
If you have tasted and seen how good is the Lord,
4 Acérquense a él piedra viva, no honrada por los hombres, sino de gran valor especial para Dios;
unto whom you have come, who is the living stone whom men have rejected, yet (who is) chosen and honourable with Aloha.
5 Ustedes, como piedras vivas, se están convirtiendo en una casa del espíritu, una orden santa de sacerdotes, haciendo las ofrendas del espíritu que agradan a Dios por medio de Jesucristo.
And you also as living stones are builded, and become a spiritual temple, and holy priests to offer sacrifices, which are acceptable before Aloha by Jeshu Meshiha.
6 Como se dice en las Escrituras, pongo en Sion una piedra angular en Sión, de gran valor y especial; y el hombre que tiene fe en él no será avergonzado.
For it is said in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a stone choice and honourable in the head of the corner: whosoever believeth in him shall not be ashamed.
7 Preciosa para ustedes que tienen fe; pero para los que no tienen fe: La misma piedra que los constructores pusieron a un lado, fue hecha la piedra principal del edificio;
To you therefore is given this honour, to them who believe: but to them who are disobedient he is a rock of offence,
8 Y, una piedra de tropiezo, una roca que hace caer; la palabra es la causa de su caída, porque van en contra de ella, y este fue el propósito de Dios.
or a stone of stumbling, and they are offended at him in not obeying the word, because to this they are set.
9 Pero ustedes son linaje escogido, una nación santa, sacerdocio real, un pueblo adquirido por Dios, para que puedan anunciar las virtudes de aquel que los sacó de la oscuridad a la luz del cielo.
But you are a chosen race, who minister as priests to the kingdom, a holy people, a congregation redeemed to announce the praises of him who hath called you from darkness to his transcendant light:
10 En el pasado no eran un pueblo, pero ahora eres el pueblo de Dios; entonces no hubo piedad para ustedes, pero ahora se les ha dado misericordia.
those who before were not reputed a people, but now the people of Aloha; upon whom also mercies were not; but now, mercies are poured upon you.
11 Mis amados, les ruego con todo mi corazón, que, como extranjeros y peregrinos, se guardarán de los deseos de la carne que hacen la guerra contra el alma;
MY beloved, I beseech you as strangers and as sojourners, be separate from all the lusts of the body which make wars against the soul.
12 Ser de buen comportamiento entre los gentiles; de modo que aunque ahora dicen que son malvados, pueden ver sus buenas obras y dar gloria a Dios en él Día que será su juez.
And let your conversation be good before all men; and they who speak against you malicious words shall see your good deeds, and shall glorify Aloha in the day of the probation.
13 Guarda todas las leyes de los hombres por causa del Señor; los del rey, como superior,
And be subject to all men for the sake of Aloha: to kings, on account of their authority;
14 Y los de los gobernantes que son enviados por él para el castigo de los malhechores y para la alabanza de los que hacen bien.
and to judges, because from him they are sent for the punishment of transgressors, and for the commendation of good works.
15 Porque es el placer de Dios que los hombres necios y de mente estrecha se avergüencen con tu buena conducta;
For so is the will of Aloha, that by your comely works you may shut the mouth of fools who know not Aloha.
16 Como aquellos que son libres, que no usan su posición libre como cobertura de malicia, sino que viven como siervos de Dios;
As the sons of liberty, yet not as men who make their liberty a veil for their wickedness, but as the servants of Aloha.
17 Tengan respeto por todos, amando a los hermanos, temiendo a Dios, honrando al rey.
Honour all; your brethren love; and Aloha revere; and kings honour.
18 Siervos, reciban órdenes de sus amos con todo respeto; no solo si son buenos y gentiles, sino incluso al los difíciles de soportar.
And those servants who are among you, be subject to your masters with reverence; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the hard and the severe.
19 Porque se gana la aprobación de Dios, si un hombre deseando hacer lo recto a los ojos de Dios, sufre dolor como castigo por algo que no ha hecho.
For these are pleasing before Aloha, who, for the sake of a good conscience, endure the afflictions that come upon them unjustly.
20 ¿Qué crédito es si, cuando has hecho el mal, tomas tu castigo en silencio? pero si le dan un castigo por hacer lo correcto, y lo toman en silencio, esto es agradable a Dios.
For they who on account of their offences suffer tribulations, what praise have they? But when you do well and they afflict you, and you endure, then doth your praise become great with Aloha.
21 Este es el propósito de Dios para ustedes: porque el mismo Jesús fue castigado por ustedes, y les dio ejemplo, para que siguieran sus pasos:
For unto this have you been called; because the Meshiha also hath died for us, and left us this example, that in his steps we may walk.
22 El que no hizo el mal, y no hubo engaño en su boca:
Who did no sin, nor was guile found in his mouth;
23 Cuando lo insultaban él no dio una respuesta con insultos; cuando estaba sufriendo, ninguna palabra enojada salió de sus labios; pero él se puso en manos del juez de justicia:
who was reviled and reviled not, and suffered and threatened not, but delivered his cause to the Judge of righteousness;
24 Se tomó nuestros pecados sobre sí mismo, dando su cuerpo para ser clavado en el árbol, para que nosotros, siendo muertos al pecado, pudiéramos tener una nueva vida en justicia, y por sus heridas nos ha sanado.
and took all our sins and upbore them in his body on the cross; that when dead to sin, in the righteousness of him we might live; for by his stripes you are healed,
25 Porque, como ovejas, habías salido del camino; pero ahora han vuelto a él que vela por sus almas.
who had wandered as sheep, and are returned now unto the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
