1 Reyes 4

1 Salomón fue rey sobre todo Israel.

And King Solomon is king over all Israel,

2 Y estos eran sus principales: Azarías, hijo de Sadoc, era el sacerdote;

and these [are] the heads whom he has: Azariah son of Zadok [is] the priest;

3 Elihoref y Ahías, los hijos de Sisa, eran escribas; Josafat, el hijo de Ahilud, fue el registrador;

Elihoreph and Ahiah sons of Shisha [are] scribes; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud [is] remembrancer;

4 Benaía, el hijo de Joiada, era jefe del ejército; Sadoc y Abiatar eran sacerdotes;

and Benaiah son of Jehoiada [is] over the host; and Zadok and Abiathar [are] priests;

5 Azarías, el hijo de Natán, estaba sobre los que tenían autoridad en las diferentes divisiones del país; Zabud, el hijo de Natán, era sacerdote y amigo del rey;

and Azariah son of Nathan [is] over the officers; and Zabud son of Nathan [is] minister, friend of the king;

and Ahishar [is] over the household, and Adoniram son of Abda [is] over the tribute.

7 Y Salomón puso doce supervisores sobre todo Israel, para que se hiciera cargo de las tiendas que necesitaban el rey y los de su casa; Cada hombre era responsable de un mes en el año.

And Solomon has twelve officers over all Israel, and they have sustained the king and his household—a month in the year is on each one for sustenance;

8 Y estos son sus nombres: el hijo de Hur en la región montañosa de Efraín;

and these [are] their names: Ben-Hur in the hill-country of Ephraim;

9 El hijo de Decar, en Macaz y Saalbim y Bet-semes, Elon y Bet-hanan;

Ben-Dekar in Makaz, and Shaalbim, and Beth-Shemesh, and Elon-Beth-Hanan;

10 El hijo de Jésed en Arubot, y también en Soco y toda la tierra de Hefer; estaban bajo su control;

Ben-Hesed, in Aruboth, has Sochoh and all the land of Hepher;

11 El hijo de Abinadab en todo el territorio de dor; Su esposa fue Tafat, la hija de Salomón.

Ben-Abinadab [has] all the elevation of Dor; Taphath daughter of Solomon became his wife;

12 Baana, el hijo de Ahilud, en Taanac, y Meguido y todo Bet- seán que está al lado de Saretan, debajo de Jezreel, desde Bet-seán hasta Abel-mehola, hasta el otro lado de Jocmeam;

Baana Ben-Ahilud [has] Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-Shean, which [is] by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-Shean to Abel-Meholah, to beyond Jokneam;

13 El hijo de Geber en Ramot de Galaad; tenía los pueblos de Jair, el hijo de Manasés, que están en Galaad, y el país de Argob, que está en Basán, sesenta grandes pueblos con muros y cerraduras de bronce.

Ben-Geber, in Ramoth-Gilead, has the small towns of Jair son of Manasseh, which [are] in Gilead; he has a portion of Argob that [is] in Bashan—sixty great cities [with] wall and bronze bar;

14 Ahinadab, el hijo de Ido, en Mahanaim;

Ahinadab son of Iddo [has] Mahanaim;

15 Ahimaas en Neftalí; tomó a Basemat, la hija de Salomón, como a su esposa;

Ahimaaz [is] in Naphtali; he also has taken Basemath daughter of Solomon for a wife;

16 Baana, el hijo de Husai, en Aser y Alot;

Baanah Ben-Hushai [is] in Asher, and in Aloth;

17 Josafat, hijo de Parua, en Isacar;

Jehoshaphat Ben-Paruah [is] in Issachar;

18 Simei, el hijo de Ela, en Benjamín;

Shimei Ben-Elah [is] in Benjamin;

19 Geber, hijo de Uri, en la tierra de Galaad, la tierra de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, y Og, rey de Basán; y un supervisor general, tenía autoridad sobre todos los supervisores que estaban en la tierra.

Geber Ben-Uri [is] in the land of Gilead, the land of Sihon king of the Amorite, and of Og king of Bashan: and [he is] the one officer who [is] in the land.

20 Judá e Israel eran tan numerosos en número como la arena junto al mar, y tomaron su comida y bebida con alegría en sus corazones.

Judah and Israel [are] many, as the sand that [is] by the sea for multitude, eating and drinking and rejoicing.

21 Y Salomón gobernó todos los reinos desde el río hasta la tierra de los filisteos, hasta el borde de Egipto; Los hombres le dieron ofrendas y fueron sus sirvientes todos los días de su vida.

And Solomon has been ruling over all the kingdoms, from the River [to] the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt: they are bringing a present near, and serving Solomon, all [the] days of his life.

22 Y la cantidad de comida de Salomón por un día fue de treinta medidas de grano triturado y sesenta medidas de comida;

And the provision of Solomon for one day is thirty cors of flour, and sixty cors of meal,

23 Diez bueyes gordos y veinte bueyes de los pastos, y cien ovejas, además venados y gacelas y aves gordas.

ten fat oxen, and twenty feeding oxen, and one hundred sheep, apart from deer, and roe, and fallow-deer, and fatted beasts of the stalls,

24 Porque tenía autoridad sobre todo el país en este lado del río, desde Tifsa hasta Gaza, sobre todos los reyes en este lado del río; y tuvo paz a su alrededor por todos lados.

for he is ruling over all beyond the river, from Tiphsah and to Gaza, over all the kings beyond the River, and he has peace from all his surrounding servants.

25 Y vivían Judá e Israel a salvo, cada uno debajo de su vid y su higuera, desde Dan hasta Beerseba, todos los días de Salomón.

And Judah dwells—and Israel—in confidence, each under his vine, and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-Sheba, all the days of Solomon.

26 Y Salomón tenía cuatro mil casilleros para caballos en sus carruajes y doce mil jinetes.

And Solomon has forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

27 Y esos supervisores, todos los hombres en turno del mes, vieron que se producía comida para Salomón y todos sus invitados, y cuidaban de que nada se pasara por alto.

And these officers have sustained King Solomon and everyone drawing near to the table of King Solomon, each [in] his month; they let nothing be lacking.

28 Y llevaron grano y pasto seco para los caballos y los carruajes, al lugar correcto, cada uno como se le ordenó.

And the barley and the straw, for horses and for dromedaries, they bring to the place where they are, each according to his ordinance.

29 Y Dios le dio a Salomón una gran cantidad de sabiduría y buen sentido, y una mente de gran alcance, tan ancha como la arena junto al mar.

And God gives very much wisdom and understanding to Solomon, and breadth of heart, as the sand that [is] on the edge of the sea;

30 Y la sabiduría de Salomón era mayor que la sabiduría de todos los pueblos del este y toda la sabiduría de Egipto.

and the wisdom of Solomon is greater than the wisdom of any of the sons of the east, and [greater] than all the wisdom of Egypt;

31 Porque era más sabio que todos los hombres, incluso que Etán de Zera, y Heman y Calcol y Darda, los hijos de Mahol; y tuvo un gran nombre entre todas las naciones alrededor.

and he is wiser than all men, [wiser] than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, sons of Mahol, and his name is in all the surrounding nations.

32 Fue el creador de tres mil dichos sabios, y de canciones hasta el número de mil cinco.

And he speaks three thousand allegories, and his songs [are] one thousand and five;

33 Hizo dichos sobre todas las plantas, desde el cedro en el Líbano hasta el hisopo colgado en la pared; y sobre todas las bestias y aves y peces y las cosas pequeñas de la tierra.

and he speaks concerning the trees, from the cedar that [is] in Lebanon, even to the hyssop that is coming out in the wall, and he speaks concerning the livestock, and concerning the bird, and concerning the creeping things, and concerning the fishes,

34 La gente venía de todas las naciones para escuchar la sabiduría de Salomón, de todos los reinos de la tierra que habían oído de las palabras de su sabiduría.

and there come out [those] of all the peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth who have heard of his wisdom.
