1 Reyes 16

1 Entonces vino la palabra del Señor a Jehú, hijo de Hanani, que protestaba contra Baasa y decía:

And the word of the Lord came by the hand of Ju son of Anani to Baasa, [saying],

2 Porque te saqué del polvo y te hice gobernar sobre mi pueblo Israel; y has seguido los caminos de Jeroboam, e hiciste mal a mi pueblo Israel, moviéndome a la ira por sus pecados;

Forasmuch as I lifted thee up from the earth, and made thee ruler over my people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast caused my people Israel to sin, to provoke me with their vanities;

3 Verdaderamente, veré que Baasa y toda su familia, su descendencia sea borrada; Haré que tu familia sea como la familia de Jeroboam, hijo de Nebat.

Behold, I raise up [enemies] after Baasa, and after his house; and I will make thy house as the house of Jeroboam son of Nabat.

4 Cualquiera de la familia de Baasa que muera en la ciudad, se convertirá en alimento para los perros; y aquel a quien muera en campo abierto, será alimento para las aves del aire.

Him that dies of Baasa in the city the dogs shall devour, and him that dies of his in the field the birds of the sky shall devour.

5 Los demás hechos de Baasa, y lo que hizo, y su poder, ¿no están registrados en el libro de la crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

Now the rest of the history of Baasa, and all that he did, and his mighty acts, behold, are not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

6 Y Baasa durmió con sus padres y fue enterrado en Tirsa; y Ela su hijo se convirtió en rey en su lugar.

And Baasa slept with his fathers, and they bury him in Thersa; and Ela his son reigns in his stead.

7 Y el Señor envió su palabra contra Baasa y su familia por boca del profeta Jehú, el hijo de Hanani, a causa de todo el mal que hizo ante los ojos del Señor, lo que lo llevó a la ira por la obra. de sus manos, porque era como la familia de Jeroboam, a quienes destruyó.

And the Lord spoke by Ju the son of Anani against Baasa, and against his house, [even] all the evil which he wrought before the Lord to provoke him to anger by the works of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he smote him.

8 En el año veintiséis en que Asa fue rey de Judá, Ela, el hijo de Baasa, se convirtió en rey de Israel en Tirsa, y él fue rey durante dos años.

And Ela son of Baasa reigned over Israel two years in Thersa.

9 Y su siervo Zimri, capitán de la mitad de sus carros de guerra, hizo planes secretos contra él: ahora estaba en Tirsa, bebiendo mucho en la casa de Arza, mayordomo de la casa del rey en Tirsa.

And Zambri, captain of half his cavalry, conspired against him, while he was in Thersa, drinking himself drunk in the house of Osa the steward at Thersa.

10 Entonces Zimri entró, lo atacó y lo mató, en el año veintisiete en que Asa era rey de Judá, y se hizo rey en su lugar.

And Zambri went in and smote him and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

11 Inmediatamente después, cuando se convirtió en rey y ocupó su lugar en el asiento del reino, mató a toda la familia de Baasa: ni un hijo varón de sus relaciones ni sus amigos se quedaron con su vida.

And it came to pass when he reigned, when he sat upon his throne,

12 Entonces Zimri mató a toda la familia de Baasa, de modo que la palabra que el Señor dijo contra él por boca del profeta Jehú;

that he smote all the house of Baasa, according to the word which the Lord spoke against the house of Baasa, and to Ju the prophet,

13 Por todos los pecados de Baasa y los pecados de Ela, su hijo, que hicieron e hicieron que Israel hiciera, moviendo al Señor, el Dios de Israel, a la ira por sus actos insensatos.

for all the sins of Baasa and Ela his son, as he led Israel astray to sin, to provoke the Lord God of Israel with their vanities.

14 Los demás hechos de Ela y todo lo que hizo, ¿no están registrados en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

And the rest of the deeds of Ela which he did, behold, are not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

15 En el año vigésimo séptimo de Asa, rey de Judá, Zimri fue rey durante siete días en Tirsa. Ahora la gente estaba atacando a Gibbeton en la tierra de los filisteos.

And Zambri reigned in Thersa seven days: and the army of Israel [was] encamped against Gabathon of the Philistines.

16 Y a la gente de las tiendas de campaña les llegó la noticia de que Zimri había hecho un plan secreto y había dado muerte al rey: así que todo Israel hizo a Omri, el capitán del ejército, rey ese día en las tiendas.

And the people heard in the army, saying, Zambri has conspired and smitten the king: and the people of Israel made Ambri the captain of the host king in that day in the camp over Israel.

17 Luego Omri subió de Gibbeton, con todo el ejército de Israel, y atacaron a Tirsa.

And Ambri went up, and all Israel with him, out of Gabathon; and they besieged Thersa.

18 Y cuando Zimri vio que habían tomado la ciudad, entró en la habitación interior de la casa del rey y, quemando la casa sobre su cabeza, llegó a su fin.

And it came to pass when Zambri saw that his city was taken, that he goes into the inner chamber of the house of the king, and burnt the king's house over him, and died.

19 Por causa de su pecado al hacer lo malo ante los ojos del Señor, al ir por el camino de Jeroboam y por el pecado que hizo hacer a Israel.

Because of his sins which he committed, doing that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, so as to walk in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, and in his sins wherein he caused Israel to sin.

20 Ahora, el resto de los actos de Zimri y la conspiración contra él rey Ela, ¿no están registrados en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

And the rest of the history of Zambri, and his conspiracies wherein he conspired, behold, are not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

21 Entonces hubo una división entre el pueblo de Israel; La mitad de la gente estaba por hacer a Tibni, hijo de Ginat, rey, y la otra mitad estaba apoyando a Omri.

Then the people of Israel divides; half the people goes after Thamni the son of Gonath to make him king; and half the people goes after Ambri.

22 Pero los partidarios de Omri vencieron a los que estaban del lado de Tibni, el hijo de Ginat; y la muerte llegó a Tibni y a su hermano Joram en ese momento: y Omri se convirtió en rey en lugar de Tibni.

The people that followed Ambri overpowered the people that followed Thamni son of Gonath; and Thamni died and Joram his brother at that time, and Ambri reigned after Thamni.

23 En el año treinta y uno de Asa, rey de Judá, Omri se convirtió en rey de Israel, y él fue rey durante doce años; Durante seis años estuvo gobernando en Tirsa.

In the thirty-first year of king Asa, Ambri begins to reign over Israel twelve years: he reigns six years in Thersa.

24 Obtuvo la colina Samaria de Semer por el precio de dos talentos de plata, e hizo una ciudad allí, construyéndose en la colina y llamándola Samaria, por Semer, el dueño de la colina.

And Ambri bought the mount Semeron of Semer the lord of the mountain for two talents of silver; and he built [upon] the mountain, and they called the name of the mountain [on] which he built, after the name of Semer the lord of the mount, Semeron.

25 Y Omri hizo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor, aún peor que todos los que le precedieron,

And Ambri did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, and wrought wickedly beyond all that were before him.

26 Copiando todos los caminos malos de Jeroboam, el hijo de Nebat, y todos los pecados que hizo e hizo que Israel hiciera, moviendo al Señor, el Dios de Israel, a la ira por sus caminos insensatos.

And he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, and in his sins wherewith he caused Israel to sin, to provoke the Lord God of Israel by their vanities.

27 El resto de los actos que hizo Omri y su gran poder, ¿no están registrados en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel?

And the rest of the acts of Ambri, and all that he did, and all his might, behold, [are] not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

28 Cuando murió Omri fue enterrado en Samaria; y su hijo Acab se hizo rey en su lugar.

And Ambri slept with his fathers, and is buried in Samaria; and Achaab his son reigns in his stead.

29 En el año treinta y ocho en que Asa era rey de Judá, Acab, hijo de Omri, se convirtió en rey de Israel. Y Acab fue rey en Samaria por veintidós años.

In the second year of Josaphat king of Juda, Achaab son of Ambri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.

30 Y Acab, hijo de Omri, hizo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor, aún peor que todos los que le precedieron.

And Achaab did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, and did more wickedly than all that were before him.

31 Y como si la copia de los malos caminos de Jeroboam, el hijo de Nebat, fuera una pequeña cosa para él, tomó como esposa a Jezabel, hija de Etbaal, rey de Sidón, y se convirtió en un sirviente y adorador de Baal.

And it was not enough for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, but he took to wife, Jezabel the daughter of Jethebaal king of the Sidonians; and he went and served Baal, and worshiped him.

32 Y construyó un templo y un altar para Baal en Samaria.

And he set up an alter to Baal, in the house of his abominations, which he built in Samaria.

33 Acab hizo una imagen de Asera e hizo más que todos los reyes de Israel que estaban delante de él para hacer enojar al Señor, el Dios de Israel.

And Achaab made a grove; and Achaab did yet more abominably, to provoke the Lord God of Israel, and [to sin against] his own life so that he should be destroyed: he did evil above all the kings of Israel that were before him.

34 En sus días reedificó Hiel a Jericó; puso los cimientos a costa de Abiram, su hijo mayor, y puso sus puertas en el lugar a costa de su hijo menor, Segub; tal como el Señor había dicho por Josué, el hijo de Nun.

And in his days Achiel the Baethelite built Jericho: he laid the foundation of it in Abiron his first-born, and he set up the doors of it in Segub his younger son, according to the word of the Lord which he spoke by Joshua the son of Naue.
