1 Juan 4
1 Mis amados, no crean a cada espíritu, sino ponlos a prueba, para ver si son de Dios: porque un gran número de falsos profetas han salido por el mundo.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 En esto conocerás el Espíritu de Dios: todo espíritu que dice que Jesucristo ha venido en carne, es de Dios;
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 Y todo espíritu que no dice esto, no es de Dios; este es el espíritu del Anticristo, de lo cual has tenido noticias; y está en el mundo incluso ahora.
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ustedes son de Dios, hijitos míos, y lo han vencido, porque el que está en ti es más grande que el que está en el mundo.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 Ellos son del mundo, por lo que su charla es la charla del mundo, y el mundo les presta atención.
They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 Somos de Dios: el que tiene el conocimiento de Dios no peca; todo aquel que peca, No le ha conocido.
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Hijitos Nadie los engañe, tengamos amor el uno para el otro: porque el amor es de Dios, y todo el que tiene amor es hijo de Dios y tiene conocimiento de Dios.
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 El que no tiene amor no tiene conocimiento de Dios, porque Dios es amor.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 Y el amor de Dios se hizo claro para nosotros cuando envió a su único Hijo al mundo para que pudiéramos tener vida a través de él.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Y esto es amor, no porque tuviéramos amor por Dios, sino porque él nos amó a nosotros, en que envió a su Hijo Unigénito para ser una ofrenda por nuestros pecados.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Amados, si Dios nos ha amado así, es correcto que nos amemos unos a otros.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 Ningún hombre ha visto a Dios: si nos amamos unos a otros, Dios está en nosotros y su amor se ha perfeccionado en nosotros.
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Y el Espíritu que nos ha dado es el testimonio de que estamos en él y él está en nosotros.
Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 Y hemos visto y testificamos que el Padre envió al Hijo para ser el Salvador del mundo.
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Todo el que dice abiertamente que Jesús es el Hijo de Dios, tiene a Dios en él y está en Dios.
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 Y hemos visto y creído en el amor que Dios tiene por nosotros. Dios es amor, y todos los que tienen amor están en Dios, y Dios está en él.
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 De esta manera, el amor se ha perfeccionado en nosotros, para que podamos estar sin miedo en el día de juicio, porque como él es, así somos nosotros en este mundo.
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 No hay temor en el amor: el amor verdadero echa fuera el temor, porque donde está el miedo, hay dolor; y el que no está libre del temor no está perfeccionado en el amor.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 Tenemos el poder de amar, porque él primero tuvo amor por nosotros.
We love him, because he first loved us.
20 Si un hombre dice: Tengo amor a Dios, y odia a su hermano, es mentiroso: ¿cómo es que el hombre que no ama a su hermano a quien ha visto puede amar a Dios a quien no ha visto?
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 Y esta es la palabra que tenemos de él, que aquel que ama a Dios debe tener el mismo amor por su hermano.
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
