1 Corintios 5
1 Se dice, de hecho, que hay entre ustedes un pecado de inmoralidad tan grave, que no se ve ni siquiera entre los gentiles, que uno de ustedes tiene a la mujer de su padre.
It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as not even pagans talk about—that someone has his father's wife!
2 Y en lugar de sentir tristeza, se llenan de orgullo, de modo que el que ha hecho esto no ha sido despedido de entre ustedes.
And you are puffed up and not even grieved, so as to exclude the one who has done this deed from your fellowship.
3 Porque yo, estando presente en espíritu aunque no en cuerpo, he tomado una decisión acerca de aquel que ha hecho esto;
For I indeed, as present in spirit though absent in body, have already judged the one who created this situation, as though I were present:
4 En el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesús, reunidos ustedes y mi espíritu, con el poder de nuestro Señor Jesús,
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, you and my spirit being together, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5 para que este hombre sea entregado a Satanás para la destrucción de la carne, para que su espíritu tenga perdón en el día del Señor Jesús.
we must hand such a one over to Satan for a destruction of the ‘flesh’, that the spirit may be saved in the Day of the Lord Jesus.
6 Este orgullo tuyo no es bueno. ¿No ves que un poco de levadura produce un cambio en toda la masa?
Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough?
7 Quita, pues, la levadura vieja, para que puedas ser una masa nueva, así como estás sin levadura. Porque Cristo ha sido ejecutado como nuestra Pascua.
Therefore purge out the old leaven, so that you can be a new batch, like you are, without yeast. Especially since Christ our Passover has been sacrificed in our place.
8 Mantengamos la fiesta, no con la vieja levadura, y no con la levadura de malos pensamientos y actos, sino con el pan sin levadura con sinceridad y verdad.
So then let us observe the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened loaves of sincerity and truth.
9 En mi carta te dije que no debías hacer compañía con los que persiguen inmoralidad sexual;
I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with fornicators—
10 Pero no tenía en mente a los pecadores que están fuera de la iglesia, o aquellos que son avaros, ladrones, chismosos, o idólatras; porque no es posible mantenerse alejado de tales personas sin salir completamente del mundo:
not of course the fornicators of this world, or the greedy, or the swindlers, or the idolaters; since then you would have to exit the world!
11 Pero el sentido de mi carta era que no deben tener trato con ninguno que, llamándose hermano, sea inmoral o avaro, o idólatra, o maldiciente, o borracho, o ladrón, con gente así ni siquiera se sienten a comer.
But now I write you not to associate with anyone who calls himself a brother who is a fornicator, or greedy, or an idolater, or abusive, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such.
12 Porque no es asunto mío el juzgar a los que están afuera; pero ustedes deben de juzgar a los que están entre ustedes;
Now just why should it be up to me to judge those who are outside? Will you not judge those who are inside?
13 En cuanto a los que están afuera, Dios es su juez. Así que aparta a ese pecador de en medio de ustedes.
Those who are outside God will judge, and you must exclude the wicked one from among you.
