1 Corintios 12
1 Pero sobre los dones del espíritu, mis hermanos no quiero que ustedes vivan en ignorancia.
Now concerning spirituall giftes, brethren, I would not haue you ignorant.
2 Ustedes saben que cuando todavía no eran creyentes, eran arrastrados ciegamente, tras imágenes sin voz ni poder.
Ye know that ye were Gentiles, and were caried away vnto the dumme Idoles, as ye were led.
3 Por lo tanto, es mi deseo que ustedes tengan entendimiento sobre esto; que nadie puede decir por el Espíritu de Dios que Jesús es maldito; y nadie puede decir que Jesús es Señor, sino por el Espíritu Santo.
Wherefore, I declare vnto you, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Iesus execrable: also no man can say that Iesus is the Lord, but by the holy Ghost.
4 Ahora hay diversidad de dones, pero el mismo Espíritu.
Now there are diuersities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 Y hay diferentes tipos de servicio, pero el mismo Señor.
And there are diuersities of administrations, but the same Lord,
6 Y hay diversidad operaciones, pero el mismo Dios, que está trabajando todas las cosas en todos.
And there are diuersities of operations, but God is the same which worketh all in all.
7 Pero a cada hombre se le da una forma de trabajo del Espíritu para el bien común.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is giuen to euery man, to profite withall.
8 Porque a uno se le dan palabras de sabiduría por medio del Espíritu; y a otras palabras de conocimiento por el mismo Espíritu:
For to one is giuen by the Spirit the word of wisdome: and to an other the word of knowledge, by the same Spirit:
9 a otra fe en el mismo Espíritu; y a otro el poder de sanidades, por el mismo Espíritu;
And to another is giuen faith by the same Spirit: and to another the giftes of healing, by the same Spirit:
10 Y a otro el hacer milagros; y a otro profecía; y a otro discernimiento de espíritus; a otro diversidad géneros de lenguas; y a otro interpretación de las lenguas:
And to another the operations of great workes: and to another, prophecie: and to another, the discerning of spirits: and to another, diuersities of tongues: and to another, the interpretation of tongues.
11 Pero todas estas son las operaciones del mismo Espíritu, que le dan a cada hombre por separado como a él mejor le parece.
And all these thinges worketh one and the selfe same Spirit, distributing to euery man seuerally as he will.
12 Porque como el cuerpo es uno, y tiene varias partes, y todas las partes forman un cuerpo, así es Cristo.
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, which is one, though they be many, yet are but one body: euen so is Christ.
13 Porque a través del bautismo del único Espíritu fuimos todos formados en un solo cuerpo, judíos o griegos, siervos o hombres libres, y todos se nos dio a beber de un mismo Espíritu.
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we bee Iewes, or Grecians, whether we be bonde, or free, and haue bene all made to drinke into one Spirit.
14 Porque el cuerpo no es una parte, sino varias partes.
For the body also is not one member, but many.
15 Si el pie dice: Porque no soy la mano, no soy parte del cuerpo; no es menos una parte del cuerpo.
If the foote would say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body?
16 Y si la oreja dice: Porque no soy ojo, no soy parte del cuerpo; por eso no será del cuerpo?
And if the eare would say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body?
17 Si todo el cuerpo fuera un ojo, ¿dónde estaría el oído? si todo fuese oído, ¿dónde estaría el olfato?
If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smellling?
18 Pero ahora Dios ha puesto cada una de las partes en el cuerpo como a él le agrada.
But nowe hath God disposed the members euery one of them in the bodie at his owne pleasure.
19 Y si todos fueran una parte, ¿dónde estaría el cuerpo?
For if they were all one member, where were the body?
20 Pero ahora son todas partes diferentes, pero un cuerpo.
But now are there many members, yet but one body.
21 Y es posible que el ojo no le diga a la mano: No te necesito; ni tampoco la cabeza a los pies; no te necesito.
And the eye cannot say vnto the hand, I haue no neede of thee: nor the head againe to the feete, I haue no neede of you.
22 No, las partes que parecen ser débiles son más necesarias;
Yea, much rather those members of the body, which seeme to be more feeble, are necessarie.
23 Y a aquellas partes del cuerpo que parecen tener menos honor damos mucho más honor; y a esas partes del cuerpo que son causa de vergüenza para nosotros, le damos mayor modestia;
And vpon those members of the body, which wee thinke most vnhonest, put wee more honestie on: and our vncomely parts haue more comelinesse on.
24 Pero aquellas partes del cuerpo que son bellas no necesitan de tal cuidado: y así el cuerpo ha sido unido por Dios de tal manera que le da más honor a las partes que lo necesitan;
For our comely partes neede it not: but God hath tempered the body together, and hath giuen the more honour to that part which lacked,
25 Para que no haya división en el cuerpo; pero todas las partes pueden tener el mismo cuidado el uno por el otro.
Lest there should be any diuision in the body: but that the members shoulde haue the same care one for another.
26 Y si hay dolor en una parte del cuerpo, todas las partes lo sentirán; o si se honra una parte, todas las partes se alegrarán.
Therefore if one member suffer, all suffer with it: if one member be had in honour, all the members reioyce with it.
27 Ahora tú eres el cuerpo de Cristo, y cada uno de ustedes partes separadas de él.
Now ye are the body of Christ, and members for your part.
28 Y Dios ha puesto a algunos en la iglesia, primero, Apóstoles; segundo, profetas; tercero, maestros; los que hacen milagros, luego aquellos que sanan, los que ayudan, los que administran, los que tienen don de lenguas.
And God hath ordained some in the Church: as first Apostles, secondly Prophetes, thirdly teachers, then them that doe miracles: after that, the giftes of healing, helpers, gouernours, diuersitie of tongues.
29 ¿Son todos apóstoles? ¿Todos son profetas? ¿Son todos maestros? todos tienen el poder de hacer milagros?
Are all Apostles? are all Prophetes? are all teachers?
30 ¿Todos Tienen dones de sanidad? Hablan todos en lenguas? ¿Interpretan todos?
Are all doers of miracles? haue all the gifts of healing? doe all speake with tongues? doe all interprete?
31 Pero ambicionen los mejores dones. Pero yo les muestro un camino aún más excelente.
But desire you the best giftes, and I will yet shewe you a more excellent way.
