1 Y los hijos de Rubén, el hijo mayor de Israel, porque él era el hijo mayor, pero porque hizo impuro el lecho de su padre, su primogenitura fue dada a los hijos de José, el hijo de Israel, pero no se le debe dar el lugar del mayor.
And the sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel—for he was the first-born; but, when the defiled his father's bed, was his birthright given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: so that the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the first-birth.
2 Aunque Judá se hizo más fuerte que sus hermanos, y de él vino el gobernante, la primogenitura era la de José:
For Judah became the mightiest of his brothers, and the prince descended from him: while the first-birthright belonged to Joseph, —
3 Los hijos de Rubén, el hijo mayor de Israel: Hanoc, Falu, Hezron y Carmi.
The sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel were, Chanoch, and Pallu, Chezron, and Carmi.
4 Los hijos de Joel: Semaías su hijo, Gog su hijo, Simei su hijo,
The sons of Joel: Shema'yah his son, Gog his son, Shim'i his son,
5 Micaia su hijo, Reaía su hijo, Baal su hijo,
Michah his son, Reayah his son, Ba'al his son,
6 Su hijo Beera, a quien Tiglat-pileser, rey de Asiria, se llevó como prisionero: era el jefe de los rubenitas.
Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-pilneesser the king of Assyria carried into exile: he was the prince of the Reubenites.
7 Y sus hermanos por sus familias, cuando se hizo la lista de sus generaciones: el jefe, Jeiel y Zacarías,
And his brethren by their families, according to their genealogy after their generations, were, the chief, Je'iel, and Zecharyahu,
8 Y Bela, el hijo de Azaz, el hijo de Sema, el hijo de Joel, que vivía en Aroer, hasta Nebo y Baal-meon;
And Bela' the son of 'Azaz, the son of Shema', the son of Joel, who dwelt in 'Aro'er, and as far as Nebo and Ba'al-me'on;
9 Y al este, sus límites llegaron hasta el punto de partida del desierto, que terminaban en el río Eufrates, debido a que su ganado había aumentado en número en la tierra de Galaad.
And to the eastward he dwelt as far as the entrance of the wilderness from the river Euphrates; because their cattle were numerous in the land of Gil'ad.
10 Y en los días de Saúl hicieron guerra contra los agarenos, y los vencieron; y levantaron sus tiendas por toda la tierra al este de Galaad.
And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarenes, who fell by their hand; and they dwelt in their tents in the whole front of the land to the east of Gil'ad.
11 Y los hijos de Gad vivían frente a ellos, en la tierra de Basán, hasta Salca.
And the children of Gad dwelt alongside of them, in the land of Bashan as far as Salchah.
12 Joel el jefe, y Safan el segundo, y Jaanai y Safat en Basán;
Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Ja'nai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
13 Y sus hermanos, los hombres de su familia: Micael, Mesulam, Seba, Jorai, Jacan, Zia y Eber, siete de ellos.
And their brethren according to their family divisions were, Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba', and Jorai, and Ya'kan, and Zia', and 'Eber, seven.
14 Estos fueron los hijos de Abihail, el hijo de Huri, el hijo de Jaroa, el hijo de Galaad, el hijo de Micael, el hijo de Jesisai, el hijo de Jahdo, el hijo de Buz;
These are the children of Abichayil the son of Churi, the son of Jaroach, the son of Gil'ad, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jachdo, the son of Buz:
15 Ahí, el hijo de Abdiel, el hijo de Guni, cabeza de familia.
Achi the son of Abdiel the son of Guni, the chief of their family division.
16 Y vivían en Galaad, en Basán, en sus pueblos pequeños y en todas las praderas del Sarón hasta sus límites.
And they dwelt in Gil'ad, in Bashan, and in its minor towns, and in all the open districts of Sharon, as far as their terminations.
17 Todos estos fueron enumerados bajo los nombres de sus familias, en el tiempo de Jotam, rey de Judá, y en el tiempo de Jeroboam, rey de Israel.
All these were recorded by their genealogies in the days of Jotham the king of Judah, and in the days of Jerobo'am the king of Israel.
18 Había cuarenta y cuatro mil setecientos sesenta de los hijos de Rubén y de los gaditas y de la media tribu de Manasés, todos hombres fuertes, expertos en el uso del escudo, la espada y el arco, y en el arte de la guerra, todos capaces de tomar las armas.
The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear shield and sword, and to draw the bow, and practised in war, were four and forty thousand seven hundred and sixty, that went out to the army.
19 Y fueron a la guerra contra los agarenos, con Jetur, Nafis y Nodab.
And they made war with the Hagarenes, and Jetur, and Naphish, and Nodab.
20 Y fueron ayudados contra ellos, y los Agarenos, y los que estaban con ellos, fueron entregados en su poder. Porque suplicaron a Dios en la lucha, y él les escuchó, porque confiaron en él.
And they obtained help against them, and the Hagarenes were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them; for to God they cried in the battle, and he was entreated by them; because they put their trust in him.
21 Y se llevaron sus ganados: cincuenta mil camellos, doscientas cincuenta mil ovejas, dos mil asnos y cien mil hombres.
And they led away captive their cattle: of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of human beings one hundred thousand.
22 Y un gran número fue a su muerte, porque la guerra era de Dios. Y siguieron viviendo en su lugar hasta que fueron llevados como prisioneros.
For there fell down many slain; because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their stead until the exile.
23 Y los hombres de la media tribu de Manasés vivían en la tierra: y su número aumentó hasta que toda la tierra de Basán a Baal-hermón y Senir y la montaña Hermon fueron suyas.
And the children of the half tribe of Menasseh dwelt in the land: from Bashan unto Ba'al-chermon and Senir and mount Chermon were they numerous.
24 Y estos eran los jefes de sus familias: Efer e Isi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremías, Hodavias, Jahdiel, hombres de guerra, de gran nombre, y jefes de familia.
And these were the heads of their family divisions: namely, 'Epher, and Yish'i, and Eliel, and 'Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodavyah, and Jachdiel, mighty men of valor, famous men, [and] heads of their family divisions.
25 E hicieron lo malo contra el Dios de sus padres, adorando a los dioses de la gente de la tierra, a quienes Dios había destruido ante ellos.
But they trespassed against the God of their fathers, and went astray after the gods of the people of the land, whom God had destroyed from before them.
26 Y el Dios de Israel puso un impulso en el corazón de Pul, rey de Asiria, y de Tiglat-pileser, rey de Asiria, que se los llevó prisioneros, todos los rubenitas y gaditas y los medios tribu de Manasés, a Halah, Habor, Hara y al río Gozan, hasta el día de hoy.
And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul the king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilnesser the king of Assyria, and he carried them into exile, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh, and brought them unto Chalach, and Chabor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, even until this day.
