1 Crónicas 29

1 Y el rey David dijo a todo el pueblo: Salomón, mi hijo, el único que ha sido escogido por Dios, todavía es joven y de tierna edad, y la obra es enorme, porque esta gran casa no es para el hombre, sino para el Señor Dios.

And David the king says to all the assembly, “My son Solomon—the one on whom God has fixed—[is] young and tender, and the work [is] great, for the palace is not for man, but for YHWH God;

2 Ahora, hasta donde puedo, he preparado lo que se necesita para la casa de mi Dios; el oro para las cosas de oro, y la plata para las cosas de plata, y el bronce para las cosas de bronce, hierro para las cosas de hierro, y madera para las cosas de madera; Berilos y joyas para enmarcar, y piedras de diferentes colores para adornos; todo tipo de piedras de gran precio y mármol en abundancia.

and with all my power I have prepared for the house of my God, the gold for [things of] gold, and the silver for [things of] silver, and the bronze for [things of] bronze, the iron for [things of] iron, and the wood for [things of] wood, shoham stones, and settings, and stones of painting and of diverse colors, and all [kinds of] precious stone, and stones of white marble, in abundance.

3 Y como esta casa de Dios me es muy querida, le doy mi propiedad personal oro y plata a la casa de mi Dios, además de todo lo que tengo preparado para la casa sagrada;

And again, because of my delighting in the house of my God, the substance I have—a peculiar treasure of gold and silver—I have given for the house of my God, even over and above all I have prepared for the holy house:

4 Incluso tres mil talentos de oro de Ofir y siete mil talentos de la mejor plata, para revestir las paredes de la casa:

three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses,

5 Oro para las cosas de oro, y plata para las cosas de plata, y para cada tipo de trabajo que deben realizar los expertos. ¿Quién entonces se presentará, ofreciéndose este día para la obra del Señor?

even gold for [things of] gold, and silver for [things of] silver, and for all the work by the hand of craftsmen; and who [is] he that is offering to willingly consecrate his hand to YHWH today?”

6 Entonces los jefes de familia y los jefes de las tribus de Israel, y los capitanes de miles y cientos, con los controladores de los asuntos del rey, se entregaron libremente;

And the heads of the fathers, and the heads of the tribes of Israel, and the heads of the thousands, and of the hundreds, and of the heads of the work of the king, offer willingly.

7 Y dieron para el uso de la casa del Señor, cinco mil talentos y diez mil monedas de oro, y diez mil talentos de plata, y dieciocho mil talentos de bronce, y cien mil talentos de hierro.

And they give for the service of the house of God five thousand talents and ten thousand drams of gold, and ten thousand talents of silver, and eighteen thousand talents of bronze, and one hundred thousand talents of iron;

8 Y los que tenían piedras de gran precio las entregaron a la tienda de la casa del Señor, bajo el cuidado de Jehiel de Gersón.

and he with whom stones are found has given [them] to the treasury of the house of YHWH, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

9 Entonces la gente se alegró porque sus ofrendas fueron dadas libremente, porque de todo corazón verdadero dieron libremente lo que tenían al Señor; y el rey David se llenó de alegría.

And the people rejoice because of their offering willingly, for with a perfect heart they have offered willingly to YHWH; and David the king has also rejoiced [with] great joy.

10 Entonces, alabó David al Señor delante de todo el pueblo; Y David dijo: Alabado seas, oh Señor Dios de Israel, nuestro padre por los siglos de los siglos.

And David blesses YHWH before the eyes of all the assembly, and David says, “Blessed [are] You, YHWH, God of Israel, our Father, from age even to age.

11 Tuya, oh Señor, es la grandeza, el poder, la gloria, la autoridad, dominio, el honor: porque todo lo que está en los cielos y en la tierra es tuyo; tuyo es el reino, oh Señor, y tú eres superior a todos.

To You, O YHWH, [is] the greatness, and the might, and the beauty, and the victory, and the splendor, because of all in the heavens and in the earth; to You, O YHWH, [is] the kingdom, and He who is lifting up Himself over all for head;

12 La riqueza y el honor provienen de ti, y tú eres el gobernante de todo, y en tu mano hay poder y fortaleza; está en tu poder hacer grande y dar fuerza a todos.

and the riches, and the honor [are] from before You, and You are ruling over all, and in Your hand [is] power and might, and [it is] in Your hand to make great and to give strength to all.

13 Ahora, Dios nuestro, te alabamos y honramos la gloria de tu nombre.

And now, our God, we are giving thanks to You, and giving praise to Your beautiful Name;

14 ¿Pero quién soy yo y que es mi pueblo, para que tengamos el poder de dar libremente de esta manera? porque todas las cosas provienen de ti, y lo que te hemos dado es tuyo.

indeed, because who [am] I, and who [are] my people, that we retain power to offer thus willingly? But the whole [is] from You, and we have given to You out of Your [own] hand;

15 Porque nosotros, como todos nuestros padres, somos como hombres de un país extranjero delante de ti, que tenemos un lugar en la tierra por un tiempo; nuestros días en la tierra son como una sombra, y no hay esperanza de continuar.

for we [are] sojourners and settlers before You, like all our fathers; our days on the land [are] as a shadow, and there is none abiding.

16 Oh Señor nuestro Dios, toda esta riqueza, que hemos preparado para la construcción de un templo para tu santo nombre, proviene de tu mano y es tuya.

O our God YHWH, all this store [with] which we have prepared to build a house for You, for Your Holy Name, [is] out of Your [own] hand, and the whole [is] of You.

17 Y estoy consciente, Dios mío, de que tú examinas los corazones, y que te agrada la rectitud que te complaces en la justicia. En cuanto a mí, con un corazón recto, he dado libremente todas estas cosas; y he visto con alegría a tu gente que está aquí para hacer sus ofrendas libremente.

And I have known, my God, that You are trying the heart, and desire uprightness; I, in the uprightness of my heart, have willingly offered all these; and now, I have seen Your people who are found here with joy to offer willingly to You.

18 Oh Señor, el Dios de Abraham, de Isaac y de Israel, nuestros padres, guarda esto para siempre en los pensamientos más profundos de tu pueblo, y deja que sus corazones sean fijos y fieles a ti;

O YHWH, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this for all time for the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of Your people, and prepare their heart for You;

19 Y dale a Salomón, hijo mío, un corazón verdadero, para cumplir tus órdenes, tus reglas y tus leyes, y para hacer todas estas cosas, y para que pueda construir el templo para la cual he preparado.

and give a perfect heart to my son Solomon, to keep Your commands, Your testimonies, and Your statutes, and to do the whole, even to build the palace [for] which I have prepared.”

20 Y David dijo a todo el pueblo: Ahora alaba al Señor tu Dios. Y todo el pueblo alabó al Señor, el Dios de sus padres, con cabezas inclinadas que adoraban al Señor y al rey.

And David says to all the assembly, “Now bless your God YHWH”; and all the assembly blesses YHWH, God of their fathers, and bows and pays respect to YHWH and to the king.

21 E hicieron ofrendas al Señor, y ofrecieron holocaustos al Señor, al día siguiente, mil bueyes, mil ovejas y mil corderos, con sus ofrendas de bebida y una gran riqueza de ofrendas por todo Israel.

And they sacrifice sacrifices to YHWH, and cause burnt-offerings to ascend to YHWH on that next day: one thousand bullocks, one thousand rams, one thousand lambs, and their oblations, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.

22 Y con gran gozo hicieron una fiesta delante del Señor ese día. E hicieron rey a Salomón, el hijo de David, por segunda vez, le ungieron para santificarlo al Señor como gobernante, y a Sadoc como sacerdote.

And they eat and drink before YHWH on that day with great joy, and cause Solomon son of David to reign a second time, and anoint [him] before YHWH for leader, and Zadok for priest.

23 Así que Salomón fue puesto en el trono del Señor como rey en lugar de su padre David, y todo le fue bien; y todo Israel estaba bajo su autoridad.

And Solomon sits on the throne of YHWH for king instead of his father David, and prospers, and all of Israel listens to him,

24 Y todos los jefes y los hombres de guerra y todos los hijos del rey David se pusieron bajo la autoridad del rey Salomón.

and all the heads, and the mighty men, and also all the sons of King David have given a hand under Solomon the king;

25 Y él Señor hizo grande a Salomón ante los ojos de todo Israel, vistiéndolo con gloria y honor como ningún otro rey en Israel había tenido antes que él.

and YHWH makes Solomon exceedingly great before the eyes of all Israel, and puts on him the splendor of the kingdom that has not been on any king over Israel before him.

26 Y David, hijo de Isaí, era rey sobre todo Israel.

And David son of Jesse has reigned over all Israel,

27 Durante cuarenta años reinó como rey sobre Israel, siete años en Hebrón y treinta y tres años en Jerusalén.

and the days that he has reigned over Israel [are] forty years; he reigned in Hebron seven years, and he reigned in Jerusalem thirty-three;

28 Y llegó a su fin después de una larga vida, llena de días y gran riqueza y honor; y su hijo Salomón se hizo rey en su lugar.

and he dies in a good old age, satisfied with days, riches, and honor, and his son Solomon reigns in his stead.

29 Ahora, todos los hechos de David, primero y último, están registrados en las palabras de Samuel el profeta, y las palabras de Natán el profeta, y las palabras de Gad el profeta;

And the matters of David the king, the first and the last, behold, they are written beside the matters of Samuel the seer, and beside the matters of Nathan the prophet, and beside the matters of Gad the seer,

30 Junto con todo su gobierno y su poder, y los acontecimientos que tuvieron lugar en su tiempo, en Israel y en todos los reinos de otras tierras.

with all his reign, and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all kingdoms of the lands.
