1 Ahora, las divisiones en que se agruparon los hijos de Aarón fueron estas: los hijos de Aarón, Nadab y Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
Now, the sons of Aaron, had their courses, —the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar;
2 Pero Nadab y Abiú llegaron a su fin antes que su padre, y no tuvieron hijos; así hicieron Eleazar e Itamar el trabajo de los sacerdotes.
but Nadab and Abihu, died, before their father, and sons, had they none, —but Eleazar and Ithamar became priests;
3 Y David, con Sadoc de los hijos de Eleazar y Ahimelec de los hijos de Itamar, los repartió en sus puestos para su trabajo.
and David apportioned to them courses, both to Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and to Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, —by their appointed place in their service.
4 Y hubo más jefes entre los hijos de Eleazar que entre los hijos de Itamar; y así se agruparon: de los hijos de Eleazar había dieciséis, todos jefes de familia; y de los hijos de Itamar, jefes de familia, había ocho.
But the sons of Eleazar were found to be more numerous, by the chiefs of their able men, than were the sons of Ithamar, so they divided them, —the sons of Eleazar, had chiefs, of the ancestral house, sixteen, whereas, the sons of Ithamar, had of their ancestral house, eight.
5 Así que fueron agrupados, por decisión del Señor, uno con el otro; porque había gobernantes del lugar santo y gobernantes de la casa de Dios entre los hijos de Eleazar y los hijos de Itamar.
They divided them, therefore, by [casting] lots, these with those, —for there were princes of the sanctuary, and princes of God, from among the sons of Eleazar, and among the sons of Ithamar.
6 Entonces Semaías, hijo de Nethanel, escriba, que era levita, escribió sus nombres por escrito: el rey estaba presente con los gobernantes, y el sacerdote Sadoc, y Ahimelec, hijo de Abiatar, y jefes de familia de los sacerdotes y los levitas; una familia tomada para Eleazar y luego una para Ithamar, y así sucesivamente.
And Shemaiah son of Nethanel the scribe from among the Levites, wrote them down, before the king and the rulers and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the ancestral chiefs, pertaining to the priests and to the Levites, —one ancestral house, was taken for Eleazar, and, was equally taken, for Ithamar.
7 Y el primer nombre que salió fue el de Joiarib; el segundo jedaias;
So then the first lot came forth for Jehoiarib, for Jedaiah, the second;
8 El tercer Harim; el cuarto Seorim;
for Harim, the third, for Seorim, the fourth;
9 El quinto Malquias; el sexto Mijamin;
for Malchijah, the fifth, for Mijamin, the sixth;
10 El séptimo Cos; el octavo Abías;
for Hakkoz, the seventh, for Abijah, the eighth;
11 El noveno Jesúa; el décimo Secanías;
for Jeshua, the ninth, for Shecaniah, the tenth;
12 El undécimo Eliasib; el duodécimo Jaquim;
for Eliashib, the eleventh, for Jakim, the twelfth;
13 La decimotercera Hupa; el decimocuarto jesebeab;
for Huppah, the thirteenth, for Jeshebeab, the fourteenth;
14 La quinceava Bilga; la decimosexta Imer;
for Bilgah, the fifteenth, for Immer, the sixteenth;
15 El decimoséptimo Hezir; el decimoctavo Afses;
for Hezir, the seventeenth, for Happizzez, the eighteenth;
16 El decimonoveno de Petaias; el vigésimo Hezequiel;
for Pethahiah, the nineteenth, for Jehezkel, the twentieth;
17 El vigésimo primero Jaquin; el vigésimo segundo Gamul;
for Jachin, the twenty-first, for Gamul, the twenty-second;
18 El vigésimo tercer Delaía; el vigésimo cuarto Maazías.
for Delaiah, the twenty-third, for Maaziah, the twenty-fourth.
19 Así que fueron puestos en sus diferentes grupos, para tomar sus lugares en la casa del Señor, de acuerdo con las reglas establecidas por su padre Aarón, como el Señor, el Dios de Israel, le había dado órdenes.
These, were their appointed places for their service, for entering the house of Yahweh, according to the regulation of them, by the hand of Aaron their father, —just as Yahweh God of Israel, commanded him.
20 Y del resto de los hijos de Leví: de los hijos de Amram, Subael; de los hijos de Subael, Jehdeías.
Now, as for the sons of Levi who remained, of the sons of Amram, Shubael, of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.
21 De los hijos de Rehabiah, Isias él mayor.
Of Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah, the chief Isshiah;
22 De los Izhar, Selomot; de los hijos de Selomot, Jahat.
of the Izharites, Shelomoth, —of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath;
23 Y los hijos de Hebrón: Jerías el primero; Amarías, el segundo; Jahaziel el tercero; Jacaman, el cuarto.
and, the sons [of Hebron], Jeriah, —Amariah, the second, Jehaziel, the third, Jekameam, the fourth;
24 Los hijos de Uziel, Micaia; de los hijos de Miqueas, Samir.
the sons of Uzziel, Micah, of the sons of Micah, Shamir;
25 El hermano de Miqueas, Isias; de los hijos de Isias, Zacarías.
the brother of Micah, Isshiah, of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.
26 Los hijos de Merari: Mahli y Musi; Los hijos de Jaazías.
The sons of Merari, Mahli and Mushi, —the sons of Jaaziah, Beno;
27 Los hijos de Merari: de Jaazias, Soham y Zacur e Ibri.
the sons of Merari, of Jaaziah, Beno, and Shoham and Zaccur and Ibri:
28 De Mahli: Eleazar, que no tuvo hijos.
of Mahli, Eleazar, who had no sons;
29 De Cis: los hijos de Kish, Jerahmeel.
of Kish—the sons of Kish, Jerameel;
30 Y los hijos de Musi: Mahli, Edar y Jerimot. Estos fueron los hijos de los levitas por sus familias.
and, the sons of Mushi, Mahli and Eder and Jerimoth. These, were the sons of the Levites, belonging to their ancestral house.
31 La selección se hizo de estos de la misma manera que de sus hermanos, los hijos de Aarón, estando presente David el rey, con Sadoc, y Ahimelec, y los jefes de familia de los sacerdotes y de los levitas.
Moreover, they also, cast lots along with their brethren the sons of Aaron, before David the king and Zadok and Ahimelech, and the ancestral chiefs, pertaining to the priests and to the Levites, the ancestral chief along with his younger brethren.
