1 Crónicas 20
1 Ahora en la primavera, cuando los reyes salen a la guerra, Joab salió a la cabeza de las fuerzas armadas e hizo destruir toda la tierra de los amonitas. Puso a sus hombres en posición ante Rabá, rodeandola, Pero David todavía estaba en Jerusalén. Y Joab tomó a Rabba y la destruyó.
And when the yere was expired, in the time that Kings goe out a warfare, Ioab caryed out the strength of the armie, and destroyed the countrey of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah (but Dauid taryed at Ierusalem) and Ioab smote Rabbah and destroyed it.
2 Y David tomó la corona del rey de su cabeza; su peso era un talento de oro y tenía piedras de gran precio; y se puso sobre la cabeza de David, y se llevó una gran cantidad de bienes de la ciudad.
Then Dauid tooke the crowne of their King from off his head, and founde it the weight of a talent of golde, with precious stones in it: and it was set on Dauids head, and he brought away the spoyle of the citie exceeding much.
3 Y sacó a la gente de la ciudad y la puso a trabajar con instrumentos para cortar madera, trituradoras de grano de hierro y hachas. Y esto hizo a todos los pueblos de los hijos de Amón. Entonces David y todo el pueblo volvieron a Jerusalén.
And he caryed away the people that were in it, and cut them with sawes, and with harowes of yron, and with axes: euen thus did Dauid with all the cities of the children of Ammon. Then Dauid and all the people came againe to Ierusalem.
4 Después de esto hubo una guerra con los filisteos en Gezer; luego Sibecai el de Husa mató a Sipai, uno de los hijos del Refaim; y fueron vencidos.
And after this also there arose warre at Gezer with the Philistims: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slewe Sippai, of the children of Haraphah, and they were subdued.
5 Y de nuevo hubo guerra con los filisteos; y Elhanán, el hijo de Jair, mató a Lahmi, el hermano de Goliat, él de Gat, el tallo de cuya lanza era como tan grande como él rodillo de un telar.
And there was yet another battell with the Philistims: and Elhanan the sonne of Iair slewe Lahmi, the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spearestaffe was like a weauers beame.
6 Y nuevamente hubo guerra en Gat, donde había un hombre muy alto, que tenía veinticuatro dedos, seis dedos en sus manos y seis dedos en sus pies; él era uno de los descendientes de los Refaim.
And yet againe there was a battel at Gath, where was a man of a great stature, and his fingers were by sixes, euen foure and twentie, and was also the sonne of Haraphah.
7 Y cuando avergonzó a Israel, Jonatán, el hijo de Simea, el hermano de David, lo mató.
And when he reuiled Israel, Iehonathan the sonne of Shimea Dauids brother did slay him.
8 Estas fueron de la descendencia del Refaim en Gat; llegaron a su muerte por las manos de David y sus siervos.
These were borne vnto Haraphah at Gath, and fell by the hand of Dauid: and by the hands of his seruants.
