1 Crónicas 15
1 E hizo David casas para sí mismo en la ciudad de David; y preparó un lugar para el cofre del pacto de Dios, y puso una tienda para ello.
And Dauid made him houses in the citie of Dauid, and prepared a place for the Arke of God, and pitched for it a tent.
2 Entonces David dijo: El cofre del pacto de Dios no puede ser movida por nadie más que los levitas, porque han sido escogidos por Dios para tomar el cofre del pacto de Dios y hacer su trabajo para siempre.
Then Dauid saide, None ought to carie the Arke of God, but the Leuites: for the Lord hath chosen them to beare the Arke of the Lord, and to minister vnto him for euer.
3 E hizo David que se juntara todo Israel en Jerusalén para llevar el cofre del pacto del Señor a su lugar, que él había preparado para ello.
And Dauid gathered all Israel together to Ierusalem to bring vp the Arke of the Lord vnto his place, which he had ordeined for it.
4 Y juntó David a los hijos de Aarón y a los levitas;
And Dauid assembled the sonnes of Aaron, and the Leuites.
5 De los hijos de Coat: Uriel él jefe, y sus hermanos, ciento veinte;
Of the sonnes of Kohath, Vriel the chiefe, and his brethren sixe score.
6 De los hijos de Merari: Asaías el jefe, y sus hermanos, doscientos veinte;
Of the sonnes of Merari, Asaiah the chiefe, and his brethren two hundreth and twentie.
7 De los hijos de Gersón: Joel él jefe, y sus hermanos, ciento treinta;
Of the sonnes of Gershom, Ioel the chiefe, and his brethren an hundreth and thirtie.
8 De los hijos de Elizafan: Semaías el jefe, y sus hermanos, doscientos;
Of the sonnes of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chiefe, and his brethren two hundreth.
9 De los hijos de Hebrón: Eliel el jefe, y sus hermanos, ochenta;
Of the sonnes of Hebron, Eliel the chiefe, and his brethren fourescore.
10 De los hijos de Uziel: Aminadab el jefe, y sus hermanos, ciento doce.
Of the sonnes of Vzziel, Amminadab the chiefe, and his brethren an hundreth and twelue.
11 Y envió David a buscar a Sadoc y a Abiatar los sacerdotes, y a los levitas, Uriel, Asaías y Joel, a Eliel y a Aminadab.
And Dauid called Zadok and Abiathar the Priestes, and of the Leuites, Vriel, Asaiah and Ioel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab:
12 Y les dijo: Ustedes son los jefes de las familias de los levitas: purifíquense ritualmente junto con sus parientes, para que puedan llevar el cofre del Señor, el Dios de Israel, al lugar que le he preparado para ello.
And he saide vnto them, Ye are the chiefe fathers of the Leuites: sanctifie your selues, and your brethren, and bring vp the Arke of the Lord God of Israel vnto the place that I haue prepared for it.
13 Porque como al principio, no lo hicieron el Señor nuestro Dios nos castigó, porque no recibimos instrucciones de él de la manera correcta.
For because ye were not there at the first, the Lord our God made a breach among vs: for we sought him not after due order.
14 Entonces los sacerdotes y los levitas se santificaron para tomar el cofre del pacto del Señor, el Dios de Israel.
So the Priestes and the Leuites sanctified them selues to bring vp the Arke of the Lord God of Israel.
15 Y los hijos de los levitas tomaron el cofre del pacto de Dios, levantándolo por sus varas, como el Señor le había dicho a Moisés.
And the sonnes of the Leuites bare the Arke of God vpon their shoulders with the barres, as Moses had commanded, according to the worde of the Lord.
16 Y David le ordenó al jefe de los levitas que pusiera en posición a sus hermanos, los cantores, con instrumentos de música, instrumentos con cuerdas y metales, con voces alegres que hacían sonidos de alegría.
And Dauid spake to the chiefe of the Leuites, that they should appoint certaine of their brethren to sing with instruments of musike, with violes and harpes, and cymbales, that they might make a sounde, and lift vp their voyce with ioye.
17 Y a Heman, hijo de Joel, y de sus hermanos, a Asaf, hijo de Berequías; y de los hijos de Merari sus hermanos, Etan, el hijo de Cusaias, fue puesto en posición por los levitas;
So the Leuites appointed Heman the sonne of Ioel, and of his brethren Asaph the sonne of Berechiah, and of the sonnes of Merari their brethren, Ethan the sonne of Kushaiah,
18 Y con ellos sus hermanos de segundo orden, Zacarías, Bani y Jaaziel y Semiramont y Jehiel y Uni, Eliab y Benaia y Maasias, Matatias, Elifelehu y Micnias, y Obed-edom y Jeiel, los porteros de las puertas.
And with them their brethren in the seconde degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Iaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Iehiel, and Vnni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneah, and Obed Edom, and Ieiel the porters.
19 Así que los cantores, Heman, Asaf y Etan, se pusieron en posición, con címbalos de bronce, sonando fuerte;
So Heman, Asaph and Ethan were fingers to make a sounde with cymbales of brasse,
20 Y Zacarías, Aziel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Uni, Eliab, Maasias, Benaia, con arpas colocados en Alamot en notas altas.
And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Iehiel, and Vnni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah with violes on Alamoth,
21 Y Matatías, Elifelehu, Micnias, Obed-edom, Jeiel y Azazia, con arpas con ocho cuerdas, para dar la primera nota de la canción.
And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneah, and Obed Edom, and Ieiel, and Azaziah, with harpes vpon Sheminith Ienazzeah.
22 Y Quenanías, jefe de los levitas, dio instrucciones sobre el transporte; era maestro de la música, porque era un experto.
But Chenaniah the chiefe of the Leuites had the charge, bearing ye burden in the charge, for he was able to instruct.
23 Y Berequías y Elcana guardaban las puertas del cofre del pacto.
And Berechiah and Elkanah were porters for the Arke.
24 Y a Sebania, Josafat, Natanael, Amasai, Zacarías, Benaias, Eliezer, los sacerdotes, sonaban las trompetas delante del cofre del pacto de Dios; y Obed-edom y Jehias eran guardianes de las puertas del cofre del pacto.
And Shecaniah and Iehoshaphat and Nethaneel and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer the Priestes did blowe with trumpets before the Arke of God, and Obed Edom and Ieiiah were porters for the Arke.
25 Así que David, y los hombres responsables de Israel, y los capitanes de miles, se fueron con alegría para sacar el cofre del pacto del Señor de la casa de Obed-edom.
So Dauid and the Elders of Israel and the captaines of thousandes went to bring vp the Arke of the couenant of the Lord from the house of Obed Edom with ioye.
26 Y cuando Dios ayudó a los levitas que levantaban el cofre del pacto del Señor, hicieron una ofrenda de siete bueyes y siete ovejas.
And because that God helped the Leuites that bare the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, they offered seuen bullockes and seuen rammes.
27 Y David estaba vestido con una túnica de lino precioso, como lo eran todos los levitas que tomaron el cofre del pacto, y los que hicieron la melodía, y Quenanías que dirigía el canto; además David tenía un efod de lino;
And Dauid had on him a linen garment, as all the Leuites that bare the Arke, and the singers and Chenaniah that had the chiefe charge of the singers: and vpon Dauid was a linnen Ephod.
28 Entonces, todo Israel tomó el cofre del pacto del Señor, con fuertes gritos de alegría y con cuernos, címbalos y arpas.
Thus all Israel brought vp the Arke of the Lordes couenant with shouting and sounde of cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbales, making a sound with violes and with harpes.
29 Y cuando el cofre del pacto del Señor entró en la ciudad de David, Mical, la hija de Saúl, mirando por la ventana, vio al rey David bailando y tocando, sintió en su corazón despreció por él.
And when the Arke of the couenant of the Lord came into the citie of Dauid, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at a windowe, and sawe King Dauid dauncing and playing, and she despised him in her heart.
