1 Crónicas 12
1 Ahora, estos son los hombres que vinieron a David a Siclag, mientras él todavía estaba desterrado, debido a Saúl, el hijo de Cis; estaban entre los hombres fuertes, sus ayudantes en la guerra.
Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he kept still close because of Saul the son of Kish; and they were among the mighty men who helped him in the conflict;
2 Estaban armados con arcos y podían enviar piedras y flechas desde el arco, con la mano derecha o con la izquierda: eran los hermanos de Saúl, de la tribu de Benjamín.
armed with bows, using both the right hand and the left with stones and with arrows on the bow; [they were] of Saul's brethren of Benjamin:
3 Ahiezer era su jefe, luego Joás, los hijos de Sema de Guibea; y Jeziel y Pelet, los hijos de Azmavet; y Beraca y Jehú de Anatot;
the chief Ahiezer, and Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Anathothite,
4 Ismaías, el Gabaonita, un gran hombre entre los treinta, y su jefe; y Jeremías, Jehaziel, Johanan, Jozabad de Gedera;
and Jishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad the Gederathite.
5 Eluzai, Jerimot, Bealias, Semarias, Sefatias el Harufita;
Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite;
6 Elcana, Isaías y Azareel, Joezer, Jasobeam, Coreitas;
Elkanah, and Jishijah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korahites;
7 Y Joela y Zebadías, los hijos de Jeroham de Gedor.
and Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
8 Y algunos de los gaditas, al lado de David, fueron a su fortaleza en el desierto, hombres grandes y fuertes, entrenados para la guerra, expertos en el uso de armas, cuyos rostros eran como los rostros de leones, y eran de patas rápidas como venados en las montañas;
And of the Gadites, there separated themselves to David in the stronghold in the wilderness mighty men of valour, men fit for the service of war, armed with shield and spear; whose faces were [like] the faces of lions, and who were swift as the gazelles upon the mountains:
9 Ezer su jefe, Obadiah, el segundo; Eliab, el tercero;
Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
10 Mismana, el cuarto; Jeremías, el quinto;
Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
11 Atai, el sexto; Eliel el séptimo;
Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12 Johanan, el octavo; Elzabad, el noveno;
Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
13 Jeremías décimo; Macbanai, y undécimo;
Jeremiah the tenth, Machbannai the eleventh.
14 Estos gaditas eran capitanes del ejército; el menor de ellos era el capitán de más de cien hombres y el mayor de los mil.
These were of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least was over a hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.
15 Fueron los que pasaron por el Jordán en el primer mes, cuando el río se desbordó, e hicieron huir a todas las personas de los valles, al este y al oeste.
These are they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it overflows all its banks, and they put to flight all [them] of the valleys, toward the east and toward the west.
16 Y algunos de los hijos de Benjamín y Judá vinieron a David en su fortaleza.
And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the stronghold to David.
17 Y saliendo a ellos David, les dijo: Si han venido en paz para ayudarme, mi corazón se unirá al de ustedes; pero si has venido a entregarme a aquellos que me quitarían la vida, aunque mis manos están limpias de cualquier mal, entonces el Dios de nuestros padres puede verlo y castigarte.
And David went out to meet them, and answered and said to them, If ye come peaceably to me to help me, my heart shall be knit unto you; but if to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in my hands, the God of our fathers see [it] and rebuke [it].
18 Entonces vino el espíritu sobre Amasai, que era el jefe de los capitanes, y dijo: Somos tuyos, David, estamos de tu lado, oh hijo de Isaí: que la paz esté contigo y que la paz a los que te ayudan porque Dios es tu ayudante. Entonces David los llevó a su ejército y los convirtió en capitanes del ejército.
And the Spirit came upon Amasai, the chief of the captains, [and he said, ] Thine [are we], David, And with thee, thou son of Jesse: Peace, peace be to thee! And peace be to thy helpers! For thy God helps thee. And David received them, and made them chiefs of bands.
19 Y algunos de los hombres de Manasés se acercaron a David, cuando fue con los filisteos a la guerra contra Saúl, pero no les ayudó: porque los señores de los filisteos, después de discutir, lo despidieron, diciendo: Volverá a su maestro Saúl, al precio de nuestras vidas.
And there fell some of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not; for the lords of the Philistines upon deliberation sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul at the peril of our heads.
20 Luego, cuando regresó a Siclag, se acercó a él, de los hombres de Manasés, Adnas y Jozabad y Jediael y Micael y Jozabad y Elihu y Ziletai, capitanes de miles de los ejércitos de Manasés.
As he went away to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh: Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that were of Manasseh.
21 Y ayudaron a David contra las bandas armadas, porque todos ellos eran grandes hombres de guerra y capitanes en el ejército.
And they helped David in his expeditions; for they were all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host.
22 Y de día en día llegaron más partidarios a David, hasta que tuvo un gran ejército como el ejército de Dios.
For day by day there came [men] to David to help him, until it was a great camp, like the camp of God.
23 Estos son los números de los jefes de los hombres armados, listos para la guerra, que llegaron a David en Hebrón, para entregar el reino de Saúl en sus manos, como el Señor lo había dicho.
And this is the number of the men equipped for military service, who came to David to Hebron, to transfer the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of Jehovah.
24 Había seis mil ochocientos lanceros de los hijos de Judá, armados para la guerra;
The children of Judah that bore shield and spear were six thousand eight hundred, equipped for military service.
25 Siete mil, cien de los hijos de Simeón, grandes hombres de guerra;
Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for war, seven thousand one hundred.
26 De los hijos de Leví, cuatro mil seiscientos.
Of the children of Levi four thousand six hundred.
27 Y Joiada, la principal de la familia de Aarón, y con él tres mil setecientos hombres;
And Jehoiada the prince of Aaron, and with him were three thousand seven hundred;
28 Y Sadoc, un joven, grande y fuerte en la guerra, con veintidós capitanes de la gente de su padre.
and Zadok, a valiant young man, and his father's house two and twenty chief men.
29 Y de los hijos de Benjamín, los hermanos de Saúl, tres mil; durante ese tiempo, la mayor parte de ellos había sido fiel a Saúl.
And of the children of Benjamin, the brethren of Saul, three thousand; but hitherto the greater part of them had adhered to the house of Saul.
30 Y de los hijos de Efraín, veinte mil ochocientos grandes hombres de guerra, hombres de gran nombre en sus familias.
And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand eight hundred, mighty men of valour, men of name in their fathers' houses.
31 Y de la media tribu de Manasés, dieciocho mil, nombrados por nombre, vinieron a hacer rey a David.
And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, who were expressed by name, to come and make David king.
32 Y de los hijos de Isacar, había doscientos jefes, hombres que tenían conocimiento experto de los tiempos y lo que era mejor que hiciera Israel, y todos sus hermanos estaban bajo sus órdenes.
And of the children of Issachar, who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their bidding.
33 De Zabulón, había cincuenta mil hombres que salieron con el ejército, expertos en organizar la batalla, para ayudar con todo tipo de armas; Hombres de corazón verdadero.
Of Zebulun, such as went forth in the host, armed for war with all weapons of war, fifty thousand, keeping rank without double heart.
34 Y de Neftalí, mil capitanes con treinta y siete mil lanzas y escudos.
And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them thirty-seven thousand with shield and spear.
35 Y de los de Dan, veintiocho mil seiscientos, expertos en ordenar la pelea.
And of the Danites armed for war twenty-eight thousand six hundred.
36 De la tribu de Aser, cuarenta mil que salieron con el ejército, expertos en infantería.
And of Asher such as went forth in the host, to set themselves in battle array, forty thousand.
37 Desde el otro lado del Jordán, había ciento veinte mil de Rubén y de Gad y los hombres de la media tribu de Manasés, armados con todo tipo de instrumentos de guerra.
And from the other side of the Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of weapons of war for battle, a hundred and twenty thousand.
38 Todos estos hombres de guerra, expertos en organizar la batalla, llegaron a Hebrón con el propósito de hacer que David fuera rey sobre todo Israel; y todo el resto de Israel se unió en su deseo de hacer rey a David.
All of them men of war, keeping rank in battle array, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel; and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
39 Por tres días estuvieron allí con David, festejando en su mesa, porque sus hermanos habían preparado la comida para ellos.
And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking; for their brethren had prepared for them;
40 Y los que estaban cerca, hasta Isacar, Zabulón, Neftalí, vinieron con comida en asnos y camellos y mulas y bueyes, con comida para comer y tortas de higos, pasas, vino, aceite, bueyes, ovejas en gran número, porque había gozo en Israel.
and those too that were near them, as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought food on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen; provisions of meal, fig-cakes and raisin-cakes, and wine and oil, and oxen and sheep, abundantly; for there was joy in Israel.
