Zacarías 1

1 En el mes octavo, en el año segundo de Darío, vino palabra del SEÑOR a Zacarías profeta, hijo de Berequías, hijo de Iddo, diciendo:

In the eight moneth of the second yeere of Darius, came the worde of the Lord vnto Zechariah the sonne of Berechiah, the sonne of Iddo, the Prophet, saying,

2 Se airó el SEÑOR con ira contra vuestros padres.

The Lord hath bene sore displeased with your fathers.

3 Les dirás pues: Así dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos: Volveos a mí, dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, y yo me volveré a vosotros, dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos.

Therefore say thou vnto them, Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Turne ye vnto me, saith the Lord of hostes, and I will turne vnto you, saith the Lord of hostes.

4 No seáis como vuestros padres, a los cuales dieron voces los primeros profetas, diciendo: Así dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos: Volveos ahora de vuestros malos caminos, y de vuestras malas obras: y nunca oyeron, ni me atendieron, dijo el SEÑOR.

Be ye not as your fathers, vnto whome the former prophets haue cried, saying, Thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Turne you nowe from your euill wayes, and from your wicked workes: but they would not heare, nor hearken vnto me, saith the Lord.

5 Vuestros padres, ¿dónde están? Y los profetas, ¿han de vivir para siempre?

your fathers, where are they? and doe the Prophets liue for euer?

6 Pero mis palabras y mis ordenanzas que mandé a mis siervos los profetas, ¿no alcanzaron a vuestros padres? Por eso se volvieron ellos del cautiverio y dijeron: Como el SEÑOR de los ejércitos pensó tratarnos conforme a nuestros caminos, y conforme a nuestras obras, así lo hizo con nosotros.

But did not my wordes and my statutes, which I commanded by my seruants ye Prophets, take holde of your fathers? and they returned, and sayd, As the Lord of hostes hath determined to doe vnto vs, according to our owne wayes, and according to our workes, so hath hee dealt with vs.

7 A los veinticuatro del mes undécimo, que es el mes de Sebat, en el año segundo de Darío, vino palabra del SEÑOR a Zacarías profeta, hijo de Berequías, hijo de Iddo, diciendo:

Vpon the foure and twentieth day of the eleuenth moneth, which is the moneth Shebat, in the second yeere of Darius, came the worde of the Lord vnto Zechariah the sonne of Berechiah, the sonne of Iddo the Prophet, saying,

8 Vi de noche, y he aquí un varón que cabalgaba sobre un caballo bermejo, el cual estaba entre los arrayanes que había en la hondura; y detrás de él había caballos bermejos, overos, y blancos.

I saw by night, and behold a man riding vpon a red horse, and hee stood among the mirre trees, that were in a bottome, and behinde him were there red horses speckeled and white.

9 Y yo dije: ¿Quiénes son éstos, señor mío? Y me dijo el ángel que hablaba conmigo: Yo te enseñaré quiénes son éstos.

Then sayd I, O my Lord, what are these? And the Angel that talked with me, sayde vnto me, I wil shew thee what these be.

10 Y aquel varón que estaba entre los arrayanes respondió, y dijo: Estos son los que el SEÑOR ha enviado para que anden la tierra.

And the man that stood among the mirre trees, answered, and sayd, These are they whome the Lord hath sent to go through the world.

11 Y ellos hablaron a aquel ángel del SEÑOR que estaba entre los arrayanes, y dijeron: Hemos andado la tierra, y he aquí toda la tierra está reposada y quieta.

And they answered the Angel of the Lord, that stood among the mirre trees, and sayd, We haue gone thorowe the world: and beholde, all the world sitteth still, and is at rest.

12 Y respondió el ángel del SEÑOR, y dijo: Oh SEÑOR de los ejércitos, ¿hasta cuándo tendrás piedad de Jerusalén, y de las ciudades de Judá, con las cuales has estado airado por espacio de setenta años?

Then the Angel of the Lord answered and sayd, O Lord of hostes, howe long wilt thou be vnmercifull to Ierusalem, and to the cities of Iudah, with whom thou hast bene displeased now these threescore and ten yeeres?

13 Y el SEÑOR respondió buenas palabras, palabras consoladoras a aquel ángel que hablaba conmigo.

And the Lord answered the Angel that talked with me, with good wordes and comfortable wordes.

14 Y me dijo el ángel que hablaba conmigo: Clama diciendo: Así dice el SEÑOR de los ejércitos: Celé a Jerusalén y a Sion con gran celo;

So the Angel that communed with me, said vnto me, Crie thou, and speake, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, I am ielous ouer Ierusalem and Zion with a great zeale,

15 Y con gran enojo estoy airado contra los gentiles que están reposados; porque yo estaba enojado un poco, y ellos ayudaron para el mal.

And am greatly angrie against the carelesse heathen: for I was angrie but a litle, and they helped forward the affliction.

16 Por tanto, así ha dicho el SEÑOR: Yo me he tornado a Jerusalén con miseraciones; mi Casa será edificada en ella, dice el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, y línea de albañil será tendida sobre Jerusalén.

Therefore thus saith the Lord, I wil returne vnto Ierusalem with tender mercie: mine house shall be builded in it, saith the Lord of hostes, and a line shall be stretched vpon Ierusalem.

17 Clama aún, diciendo: Así dice el SEÑOR de los ejércitos: Aún serán ensanchadas mis ciudades por la abundancia del bien; y aún consolará el SEÑOR a Sion, y escogerá todavía a Jerusalén.

Cry yet, and speake, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, My cities shall yet be broken with plentie: the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet chuse Ierusalem.

18 Después alcé mis ojos, y miré, y he aquí cuatro cuernos.

Then lift I vp mine eyes and sawe, and beholde, foure hornes.

19 Y dije al ángel que hablaba conmigo: ¿Qué son éstos? Y me respondió: Estos son los cuernos que aventaron a Judá, a Israel, y a Jerusalén.

And I said vnto the Angel that talked with me, What be these? And hee answered me, These are the hornes which haue scattered Iudah, Israel, and Ierusalem.

20 Me mostró luego el SEÑOR cuatro carpinteros.

And the Lord shewed me foure carpenters.

21 Y yo dije: ¿Qué vienen éstos a hacer? Y me respondió, diciendo: Estos son los cuernos que aventaron a Judá, tanto que ninguno alzó su cabeza; mas éstos han venido para hacerlos temblar, para derribar los cuernos de los gentiles que alzaron el cuerno sobre la tierra de Judá para aventarla.

Then said I, What come these to doe? And he answered, and said, These are the hornes, which haue scattered Iudah, so that a man durst not lift vp his head: but these are come to fray them, and to cast out the hornes of the Gentiles, which lift vp their horne ouer the land of Iudah, to scatter it.
