Romanos 6
1 ¿Pues qué diremos? ¿Perseveraremos en el pecado para que la gracia crezca?
What shall we then say? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 En ninguna manera. Porque los que somos muertos al pecado, ¿cómo viviremos aún en él?
Far be it: for if we are persons that have died to sin, how can we again live in it?
3 ¿O no sabéis que todos los que somos bautizados en el Cristo Jesús, somos bautizados en su muerte?
Or do ye not know, that we who are baptized into Jesus Messiah, are baptized into his death?
4 Porque somos sepultados juntamente con él a muerte por el bautismo; para que como el Cristo resucitó de los muertos a gloria del Padre, así también nosotros andemos en novedad de vida.
For we are buried with him in baptism unto death; that as Jesus Messiah arose from the dead into the glory of his Father, so also we, to walk in a new life.
5 Porque si fuimos plantados juntamente en él a la semejanza de su muerte, también lo seremos a la de su resurrección;
For if we have been planted together with him into the likeness of his death, so shall we be also into his resurrection.
6 convencidos que nuestro viejo hombre juntamente fue colgado en el madero con él, para que el cuerpo del pecado sea deshecho, a fin de que no sirvamos más al pecado.
For we know, that our old man is crucified with him; that the body of sin might be abolished, and we be no more servants to sin:
7 Porque el que es muerto, justificado es del pecado.
for he that is dead to it, is emancipated from sin.
8 Y si morimos con el Cristo, creemos que también viviremos con él;
If then we are dead with Messiah, let us believe that we shall live with the same Messiah.
9 seguros de que el Cristo, habiendo resucitado de los muertos, ya no muere; la muerte no se enseñoreará más de él.
For we know that Messiah rose from the dead, and no more dieth; death hath no dominion over him.
10 Porque el que es muerto, al pecado murió una vez; y el que vive, a Dios vive.
For in dying, he died for sin, once; and in living, he liveth unto God.
11 Así también vosotros, pensad que vosotros de cierto sois muertos al pecado; mas que vivís a Dios en el Cristo Jesús, Señor nuestro.
So also do ye account yourselves as being dead to sin, and alive to God, through our Lord Jesus Messiah.
12 No reine, pues, el pecado en vuestro cuerpo mortal, para que lo obedezcáis en sus concupiscencias;
Therefore let not sin reign in your dead body, so that ye obey its lusts.
13 ni tampoco presentéis vuestros miembros al pecado por instrumentos de iniquidad; antes presentaos a Dios como resucitados de los muertos, y vuestros miembros a Dios, por instrumentos de justicia.
And also give not up your members as instruments of evil unto sin, but give up yourselves to God, as those who have been resuscitated from the dead; and let your members be instruments for the righteousness of God.
14 Para que el pecado no se enseñoree de vosotros; porque no estáis bajo la ley, sino bajo la gracia.
And sin shall not have dominion over you; for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 ¿Pues qué? ¿Pecaremos, porque no estamos bajo la ley, sino bajo la gracia? En ninguna manera.
What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? Far be it.
16 ¿O no sabéis que a quien os presentáis a vosotros mismos como siervos para obedecerle, sois siervos de aquel a quien obedecéis, sea del pecado para muerte, o sea de la obediencia para justicia?
Know ye not, that to whomsoever ye give up yourselves to serve in bondage, his servants ye are, whom ye serve; whether it be to sin, or whether it be to righteousness, that ye give ear?
17 Gracias a Dios, que aunque fuisteis siervos del pecado, habéis obedecido de corazón a la forma de doctrina a la cual sois entregados;
But thanks be to God, that ye were once the servants of sin but have now from the heart obeyed that form of doctrine to which ye are devoted.
18 y libertados del pecado, sois hechos siervos de la justicia.
And when ye were emancipated from sin, ye became servants to righteousness.
19 Humana cosa digo, por la flaqueza de vuestra carne; que como para iniquidad presentasteis vuestros miembros para servir a la inmundicia y a la iniquidad, así ahora para santidad, presentéis vuestros miembros para servir a la justicia.
-(I speak as among men, because of the infirmity of your flesh.)-As ye once gave up your members to the servitude of pollution and iniquity, so also now give ye up your members to the servitude of righteousness and sanctity.
20 Porque siendo antes siervos del pecado, ahora habéis sido hechos siervos de la justicia.
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were emancipated from righteousness.
21 ¿Qué fruto, pues, teníais de aquellas cosas de las cuales ahora os avergonzáis? Porque el fin de ellas es muerte.
And what harvest had ye then, in that of which ye are now ashamed? For the result thereof is death.
22 Mas ahora, librados del pecado, y hechos siervos a Dios, tenéis por vuestro fruto la santificación, y como fin la vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
And now, as ye have been emancipated from sin, and have become servants to God, your fruits are holy; and the result thereof is life everlasting. (aiōnios g166)
