Salmos 1

1 Bienaventurado el varón que no anduvo en consejo de malos, ni estuvo en camino de pecadores, ni se sentó en silla de burladores;

O the blessedness of that one, Who has not walked in the counsel of the wicked, And has not stood in the way of sinners, And has not sat in the seat of scorners;

2 antes en la ley del SEÑOR es su voluntad, y en su ley pensará de día y de noche.

But his delight [is] in the Law of YHWH, And in His law he meditates by day and by night:

3 Y será como el árbol plantado junto a arroyos de aguas, que da su fruto en su tiempo; y su hoja no cae, y todo lo que hace, prosperará.

And he has been as a tree, Planted by streams of water, That gives its fruit in its season, And its leaf does not wither, And all that he does he causes to prosper.

4 No así los malos, sino como el tamo que arrebata el viento.

Not so the wicked: But [they are] as chaff that wind drives away!

5 Por tanto no se levantarán los malos en el juicio; ni los pecadores en la congregación de los justos.

Therefore the wicked do not rise in judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous,

6 Porque el SEÑOR conoce el camino de los justos; y el camino de los malos se perderá.

For YHWH is knowing the way of the righteous, And the way of the wicked is lost!
