Salmos 63

1 Salmo de David, estando en el desierto de Judá. Dios, Dios mío eres tú; a ti madrugaré; mi alma tuvo sed de ti, mi carne te desea en tierra de sequedad y transida sin aguas.

A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Idumea. O God, my God, I cry to you early; my soul has thirsted for you: how often has my flesh [longed] after you, in a barren and trackless and dry land!

2 Así te miré en santidad, cuando vi tu fortaleza y tu gloria.

Thus have I appeared before you in the sanctuary, that I might see your power and your glory.

3 Porque mejor es tu misericordia que la vida; mis labios te alabarán.

For your mercy is better than life: my lips shall praise you.

4 Así te bendeciré en mi vida; en tu Nombre alzaré mis manos.

Thus will I bless you during my life: I will lift up my hands in your name.

5 Como de sebo y de grosura será saciada mi alma; y con labios de alegría te alabará mi boca,

Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness; and [my] joyful lips shall praise your name.

6 cuando me acordaré de ti en mi lecho, cuando meditaré de ti en las velas de la noche.

Forasmuch as I have remembered you on my bed: in the early seasons I have meditated on you.

7 Porque has sido mi socorro; y así en la sombra de tus alas me regocijaré.

For you have been my helper, and in the shelter of your wings will I rejoice.

8 Mi alma se apegó tras de ti; tu diestra me ha sustentado.

My soul has kept very close behind you: your right hand has upheld me.

9 Mas los que para destrucción buscaron mi alma, descendieron en las bajuras de la tierra.

But they vainly sought after my soul; they shall go into the lowest parts o the earth.

10 Los matarán a filo de espada; serán porción de las zorras.

They shall be delivered up to the power of the sword; they shall be portions for foxes.

11 Y el rey se alegrará en Dios; serán alabados todos los que juran por él; porque la boca de los que hablan mentira, será cerrada.

But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that swears by him shall be praised; for the mouth of them that speak unjust things has been stopped.
