Salmos 59
1 Al Vencedor: sobre No destruyas: Mictam de David, cuando envió Saúl, y guardaron la casa para matarlo. Líbrame de mis enemigos, oh Dios mío; ponme a salvo de los que se levantan contra mí.
TO THE OVERSEER. “DO NOT DESTROY.” A MIKTAM OF DAVID, IN SAUL’S SENDING, AND THEY WATCH THE HOUSE TO PUT HIM TO DEATH. Deliver me from my enemies, O my God, Set me on high from my withstanders.
2 Líbrame de los que obran iniquidad, y sálvame de varones sanguinarios.
Deliver me from workers of iniquity, And save me from men of blood.
3 Porque he aquí están acechando mi vida; se han juntado contra mí fuertes sin rebelión mía, y sin pecado mío, oh SEÑOR.
For behold, they laid wait for my soul, Strong ones are assembled against me, Not my transgression nor my sin, O YHWH.
4 Sin delito mío corren y se aperciben; despierta para venir a mi encuentro, y mira.
Without punishment they run and prepare themselves, Stir up to meet me, and see.
5 Y tú, SEÑOR Dios de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, despierta para visitar todos los gentiles; no hayas misericordia de todos los que se rebelan con iniquidad. (Selah)
And You, YHWH, God of Hosts, God of Israel, Awake to inspect all the nations. Do not favor any treacherous dealers of iniquity. (Selah)
6 Se volverán a la tarde, ladrarán como perros, y rodearán la ciudad.
They return at evening, They make a noise like a dog, And go around the city.
7 He aquí proferirán con su boca; cuchillos están en sus labios, porque dicen: ¿Quién oye?
Behold, they belch out with their mouths, Swords [are] in their lips, for “Who hears?”
8 Mas tú, SEÑOR, te reirás de ellos, te burlarás de todos los gentiles.
And You, O YHWH, laugh at them, You mock at all the nations.
9 Para ti reservaré su fortaleza; porque Dios es mi defensa.
O my Strength, to You I take heed, For God [is] my tower—the God of my kindness.
10 El Dios de mi misericordia me encontará en el camino; Dios me hará ver en mis enemigos mi deseo.
God goes before me, He causes me to look on my enemies.
11 No los matarás, para que mi pueblo no se olvide; hazlos vagar con tu fortaleza, y abátelos, oh SEÑOR, escudo nuestro,
Do not slay them, lest my people forget, Shake them by Your strength, And bring them down, O Lord our shield.
12 Por el pecado de su boca, por la palabra de sus labios; y sean presos por su soberbia, y cuenten con maldición y con debilidad.
The sin of their mouth [is] a word of their lips, And they are captured in their pride, And they recount from the curse and lying.
13 Acábalos con furor, acábalos, y no sean; y sepan que Dios domina en Jacob hasta los fines de la tierra. (Selah)
Consume in fury, consume and they are not, And they know that God is ruling in Jacob, To the ends of the earth. (Selah)
14 Vuelvan pues a la tarde, y ladren como perros, y rodeen la ciudad.
And they return at evening, They make a noise like a dog, And they go around the city.
15 Anden ellos errantes para hallar qué comer; y si no se saciaren, murmuren.
They wander for food, If they are not satisfied—then they murmur.
16 Y yo cantaré tu fortaleza, y loaré de mañana tu misericordia; porque has sido mi amparo y refugio en el día de mi angustia.
And I sing of Your strength, And at morning I sing of Your kindness, For You have been a tower to me, And a refuge for me in a day of adversity.
17 Fortaleza mía, a ti cantaré; porque eres Dios de mi amparo, Dios de mi misericordia.
O my Strength, I sing praise to You, For God [is] my tower, the God of my kindness!
