Salmos 48

1 Canción de Salmo a los hijos de Coré. Grande es el SEÑOR y digno de ser en gran manera alabado en la ciudad de nuestro Dios, en el monte de su santidad.

A song or Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praysed, in the Citie of our God, euen vpon his holy Mountaine.

2 Hermosa provincia, el gozo de toda la tierra es el monte de Sion, a los lados del aquilón, la ciudad del gran Rey.

Mount Zion, lying Northwarde, is faire in situation: it is the ioy of the whole earth, and the Citie of the great King.

3 Dios en sus palacios es conocido por lugar de refugio.

In the palaces thereof God is knowen for a refuge.

4 Porque he aquí los reyes de la tierra fueron reunidos; pasaron todos.

For lo, the Kings were gathered, and went together.

5 Y viéndola ellos así, se maravillaron, se asombraron, se dieron prisa a huir.

When they sawe it, they marueiled: they were astonied, and suddenly driuen backe.

6 Les tomó allí temblor; dolor, como a mujer que da a luz.

Feare came there vpon them, and sorowe, as vpon a woman in trauaile.

7 Con viento solano quiebras tú las naves de Tarsis.

As with an East winde thou breakest the shippes of Tarshish, so were they destroyed.

8 Como lo oímos, así lo hemos visto en la ciudad del SEÑOR de los ejércitos, en la ciudad de nuestro Dios; la afirmará Dios para siempre. (Selah)

As we haue heard, so haue we seene in the citie of the Lord of hostes, in the Citie of our God: God will stablish it for euer. (Selah)

9 Concebimos según tu misericordia, oh Dios, en medio de tu Templo.

We waite for thy louing kindnes, O God, in the middes of thy Temple.

10 Conforme a tu Nombre, oh Dios, así es tu loor hasta los fines de la tierra; de justicia está llena tu diestra.

O God, according vnto thy Name, so is thy prayse vnto the worlds end: thy right hand is full of righteousnes.

11 Se alegrará el monte de Sion; se gozarán las hijas de Judá por tus juicios.

Let mount Zion reioyce, and the daughters of Iudah be glad, because of thy iudgements.

12 Andad alrededor de Sion, y rodeadla; contad sus torres.

Compasse about Zion, and goe round about it, and tell the towres thereof.

13 Considerad bien su antemuro, mirad sus palacios; para que lo contéis a la generación venidera.

Marke well the wall thereof: beholde her towres, that ye may tell your posteritie.

14 Porque este Dios es Dios nuestro eternalmente y para siempre; El nos capitaneará hasta la muerte.

For this God is our God for euer and euer: he shall be our guide vnto the death.
