Salmos 4
1 Al Vencedor, en Neginot: Salmo de David. Respóndeme cuando llamo, oh Dios de mi justicia. Estando en angustia, tú me hiciste ensanchar; ten misericordia de mí, y oye mi oración.
Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: you have enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
2 Hijos de los hombres, ¿hasta cuándo volveréis mi honra en infamia, amaréis la vanidad, y buscaréis la mentira? (Selah)
O all of you sons of men, how long will all of you turn my glory into shame? how long will all of you love vanity, and seek after leasing? (Selah)
3 Sabed pues, que el SEÑOR hizo apartar al pío para sí; el SEÑOR oirá cuando yo a él clamare.
But know that the LORD has set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
4 Temblad, y no pequéis. Meditad en vuestro corazón sobre vuestra cama, y desistid. (Selah)
Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
5 Ofreced sacrificios de justicia, y confiad en el SEÑOR.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
6 Muchos dicen: ¿Quién nos mostrará el bien? Alza sobre nosotros, oh SEÑOR, la luz de tu rostro.
There be many that say, Who will show us any good? LORD, lift you up the light of your countenance upon us.
7 Tú diste alegría en mi corazón, al tiempo que el grano y el mosto de ellos se multiplicó.
You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
8 En paz me acostaré, y asimismo dormiré; porque solo tú, SEÑOR, me harás estar confiado.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for you, LORD, only make me dwell in safety.
