Salmos 33
1 Cantad justos en el SEÑOR; a los rectos es hermosa la alabanza.
Be joyful, O ye righteous, in the Lord; [for] unto the righteous praise is comely.
2 Celebrad al SEÑOR con arpa; cantadle con salterio y decacordio.
Give thanks unto the Lord with the harp: with the ten-stringed psaltery do ye sing [praises] unto him.
3 ¡Cantadle canción nueva! Hacedlo bien tañendo con júbilo.
Sing unto him a new song; play beautifully amidst a triumphant shout.
4 Porque recta es la palabra del SEÑOR, y toda su obra es hecha con verdad.
For the word of the Lord is upright; and all his works [are done] in truth.
5 El ama justicia y juicio; de la misericordia del SEÑOR está llena la tierra.
He loveth righteousness and justice: the earth is full of the kindness of the Lord.
6 Con la palabra del SEÑOR fueron hechos los cielos, y todo el ejército de ellos con el espíritu de su boca.
By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
7 El junta como en un montón las aguas del mar; el pone por tesoros los abismos.
He gathereth together like heaps the waters of the sea: he layeth up in store-houses the depths [of the sea].
8 Tema al SEÑOR toda la tierra; teman de él todos los habitadores del mundo.
Let all the earth fear the Lord: of him stand in awe all the inhabitants of the world.
9 Porque él dijo, y fue hecho; él mandó, y existió.
For he spoke, and it came into being: he commanded, and it stood fast.
10 El SEÑOR hace anular el consejo de los gentiles, y hace anular las maquinaciones de los pueblos.
The Lord frustrateth the resolves of the nations: he bringeth to nought the thoughts of the people.
11 El consejo del SEÑOR permanecerá para siempre; los pensamientos de su corazón por todas las generaciones.
The counsel of the Lord will stand for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
12 Bienaventurada la gente de que el SEÑOR es su Dios; el pueblo a quien escogió por heredad para sí.
Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he hath chosen for himself as a heritage.
13 Desde los cielos miró el SEÑOR; vio a todos los hijos de Adán.
The Lord looketh from heaven; he seeth all the sons of men.
14 Desde la morada de su asiento miró sobre todos los moradores de la tierra.
From the place of his habitation he directeth his view upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
15 El formó el corazón de todos ellos; el considera todas sus obras.
He fashioneth their hearts altogether; he hath regard to all their works.
16 El rey no es salvo con la multitud del ejército; no escapa el valiente con la mucha fuerza.
The king is not saved by the multitude of an army: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
17 Vanidad es el caballo para la salud; con la grandeza de su fuerza no librará.
Vain is the horse for victory: nor shall he deliver any by the greatness of his strength.
18 He aquí, el ojo del SEÑOR sobre los que le temen, sobre los que esperan su misericordia;
Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those that fear him, upon those that hope for his kindness.
19 para librar sus almas de la muerte, y para darles vida en el hambre.
To deliver from death their soul, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Nuestra alma esperó al SEÑOR; nuestra ayuda y nuestro escudo es él.
Our soul waiteth for the Lord: our help and our shield is he.
21 Por tanto en él se alegrará nuestro corazón, porque en el Nombre de su santidad hemos confiado.
For in him shall our heart rejoice: because in his holy name have we trusted.
22 Sea tu misericordia, oh SEÑOR, sobre nosotros, como te hemos esperado.
Let thy kindness, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in thee.
