Salmos 149

1 Alelu-JAH. Cantad al SEÑOR canción nueva; su alabanza sea en la congregación de los misericordiosos.

Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the holy ones.

2 Alégrese Israel con su Hacedor; los hijos de Sion se gocen con su Rey.

Let Israel rejoice in him who made them. Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

3 Alaben su Nombre con baile; con adufe y arpa canten a él.

Let them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing praises to him with tambourine and harp!

4 Porque el SEÑOR toma contentamiento con su pueblo; hermoseará a los humildes con salud.

For the LORD takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation [yeshu`ah].

5 Se gozarán los misericordiosos con gloria; cantarán sobre sus camas.

Let the holy ones rejoice in honour. Let them sing for joy on their beds.

6 Ensalzamientos de Dios modularán en sus gargantas; y espadas de dos filos habrá en sus manos;

May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand,

7 para hacer venganza de los gentiles, castigos en los pueblos;

to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;

8 para aprisionar sus reyes en grillos, y sus nobles en cadenas de hierro;

to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 para ejecutar en ellos el juicio escrito; gloria será esto para todos sus misericordiosos. Alelu-JAH.

to execute on them the written judgement. All his holy ones have this honour. Praise the LORD!
