Salmos 147
1 Alelu-JAH, porque es bueno cantar salmos a nuestro Dios; porque suave y hermosa es la alabanza.
Hallelujah; for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is comely; [him] becometh praise.
2 El SEÑOR, el que edifica a Jerusalén; a los echados de Israel recogerá.
The Lord buildeth up Jerusalem: the outcasts of Israel will he gather together;
3 El que sana a los quebrantados de corazón, y el que liga sus heridas.
He that healeth the broken-hearted, and bindeth up their hurts;
4 El que cuenta el número de las estrellas; a todas ellas llama por sus nombres.
Who counteth the number of the stars; who calleth them all by [their] names.
5 Grande es el Señor nuestro, y de mucha potencia; y su entendimiento es infinito.
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power: his understanding is immeasurable.
6 El SEÑOR, el que ensalza a los humildes; el que humilla a los impíos hasta la tierra.
The Lord helpeth up the meek: he bringeth down the wicked to the ground.
7 Cantad al SEÑOR con alabanza, cantad con arpa a nuestro Dios.
Lift up a song unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praises unto our God with the harp;
8 El que cubre los cielos de nubes, el que prepara la lluvia para la tierra, el que hace a los montes producir hierba.
Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who causeth grass to grow upon the mountains;
9 El que da a la bestia su mantenimiento, y a los hijos de los cuervos que claman a él.
Who giveth to the beast its food, to the young ravens which cry.
10 No toma contentamiento en la fortaleza del caballo, ni se complace en las piernas del varón.
Not in the strength of the horse hath he delight: nor in the [swiftness of the] legs of man taketh he pleasure.
11 El SEÑOR ama a los que le temen; a los que esperan en su misericordia.
The Lord taketh pleasure in those that fear him, that wait for his kindness.
12 Alaba al SEÑOR, Jerusalén; alaba a tu Dios, Sion.
Glorify, O Jerusalem, the Lord: praise thy God, O Zion.
13 Porque fortificó los cerrojos de tus puertas; bendijo a tus hijos dentro de ti.
For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children in the midst of thee;
14 El que pone por tu término la paz; te hará saciar de grosura de trigo.
He who bestoweth peace in thy borders, who satisfieth thee with the best of wheat;
15 El que envía su palabra a la tierra; muy presto corre su palabra.
He who sendeth forth his decree unto the earth: how swiftly speedeth his word along!
16 El que da la nieve como lana, derrama la escarcha como ceniza.
He who dispenseth snow like wool; who streweth about the hoarfrost like ashes;
17 El que echa su hielo como en pedacitos; delante de su frío ¿quién estará?
He who casteth down his ice like pieces: before his cold who can stand?
18 Enviará su palabra, y los derretirá; soplará su viento, y fluirán las aguas.
He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and waters run along.
19 El que denuncia sus palabras a Jacob, sus estatutos y sus juicios a Israel.
He declareth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances unto Israel.
20 No ha hecho esto con las otras naciones; las cuales no conocieron sus juicios. Alelu-JAH.
He hath not done so unto any nation: and [his] ordinances— these they know not. Hallelujah.
