Salmos 124

1 Canción de las gradas: de David. Al no haber estado el SEÑOR por nosotros, diga ahora Israel:

“A song of the degrees by David.” If it had not been the Lord who was for us, so should Israel say;

2 Al no haber estado el SEÑOR por nosotros, cuando se levantaron contra nosotros los hombres,

If it had not been the Lord who was for us, when men rose up against us:

3 vivos nos habrían entonces tragado, cuando se encendió su furor contra nosotros.

Then would they have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us;

4 Entonces nos habrían inundado las aguas; sobre nuestra alma hubiera pasado el torrente;

Then would the waters have overwhelmed us, the stream would have passed over our soul;

5 hubieran entonces pasado sobre nuestra alma las aguas soberbias.

Then would have passed over our soul the presumptuous waters.

6 Bendito el SEÑOR, que no nos dio por presa a sus dientes.

Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us up as a prey to their teeth.

7 Nuestra alma escapó cual ave del lazo de los cazadores; se quebró el lazo, y escapamos nosotros.

Our soul is escaped like a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

8 Nuestro socorro es en el Nombre del SEÑOR, que hizo el cielo y la tierra.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.
