Salmos 107
1 Alabad al SEÑOR, porque es bueno; porque para siempre es su misericordia.
Alleluia. Confess to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy is with every generation.
2 Diganlo los redimidos del SEÑOR, los que ha redimido del poder del enemigo,
Let those who have been redeemed by the Lord say so: those whom he redeemed from the hand of the enemy and gathered from the regions,
3 y los ha congregado de las tierras, del oriente y del occidente, del aquilón y del mar.
from the rising of the sun and its setting, from the north and from the sea.
4 Anduvieron perdidos por el desierto, por la soledad sin camino, sin hallar ciudad en dónde vivir.
They wandered into solitude in a waterless place. They did not find the way of the city to be their dwelling place.
5 Hambrientos y sedientos, su alma desfallecía en ellos.
They were hungry, and they were thirsty. Their soul fainted within them.
6 Y clamaron al SEÑOR en su angustia, los libró de sus aflicciones.
And they cried out to the Lord in tribulation, and he rescued them in their necessity.
7 Los dirigió por camino derecho, para que viniesen a ciudad de habitación.
And he led them in the right way, so that they might go forth to a city of habitation.
8 Alaben al SEÑOR por su misericordia; y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres.
Let his mercies confess to the Lord, and let his miracles confess to the sons of men.
9 Porque sació al alma menesterosa, y llenó de bien al alma hambrienta.
For he has satisfied the empty soul, and he has satisfied the hungry soul with good things:
10 Los que moraban en tinieblas y sombra de muerte aprisionados, en aflicción y en hierros,
those sitting in darkness and in the shadow of death, shackled by extreme poverty and by iron.
11 por cuanto fueron rebeldes a las palabras del SEÑOR, y aborrecieron el consejo del Altísimo.
For they exasperated the eloquence of God, and they irritated the deliberation of the Most High.
12 Por eso quebrantó él con trabajo sus corazones, cayeron y no hubo quién los ayudase.
And their heart was brought low with hardships. They were weakened, and there was no one to help them.
13 Luego que clamaron al SEÑOR en su angustia, los libró de sus aflicciones.
And they cried out to the Lord in their tribulation, and he freed them from their distress.
14 Los sacó de las tinieblas, y de la sombra de muerte; y rompió sus prisiones.
And he led them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and he broke apart their chains.
15 Alaben al SEÑOR por su misericordia, y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres.
Let his mercies confess to the Lord, and let his miracles confess to the sons of men.
16 Porque quebrantó las puertas de bronce, y desmenuzó los cerrojos de hierro.
For he has crushed the gates of brass and broken the iron bars.
17 Los locos, a causa del camino de su rebelión; y a causa de sus maldades fueron afligidos,
He has taken them up, from the way of their iniquity. For they were brought low, because of their injustices.
18 su alma abominó toda vianda; y llegaron hasta las puertas de la muerte.
Their soul abhorred all food, and they drew near even to the gates of death.
19 Mas clamaron al SEÑOR en su angustia; y los salvó de sus aflicciones.
And they cried out to the Lord in their tribulation, and he delivered them in their necessity.
20 Envió su palabra, y los curó, y los libró de sus sepulturas.
He sent his word, and he healed them, and he rescued them from their utter destruction.
21 Alaben al SEÑOR por su misericordia, y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres.
Let his mercies confess to the Lord, and let his miracles confess to the sons of men.
22 Y ofrezcan sacrificios de alabanza, y publiquen sus obras con júbilo.
And let them offer sacrifice with the sacrifice of praise, and let them announce his works in exultation.
23 Los que descienden al mar en navíos, y hacen obra en las muchas aguas,
Those who descend to the sea in ships, making their livelihood in the great waters:
24 ellos han visto las obras del SEÑOR, y sus maravillas en el mar profundo.
these have seen the works of the Lord and his wonders in the deep.
25 El dijo, e hizo saltar el viento de la tempestad, que levanta sus ondas;
He spoke: and a windstorm stood up, and its waves were exalted.
26 suben a los cielos, descienden a los abismos; sus almas se derriten con el mal.
They ascend even to the heavens, and they descend even to the abyss. Their soul will waste away in distress.
27 Tiemblan, y titubean como borrachos, y toda su ciencia es perdida;
They were troubled, and they moved like a drunkard, and all their wisdom was consumed.
28 claman al SEÑOR en su angustia, y los libra de sus aflicciones.
And they cried out to the Lord in their tribulation, and he led them out of their distress.
29 Hace parar la tempestad en sosiego, y sus ondas cesan.
And he replaced the storm with a breeze, and its waves were stilled.
30 Se alegran luego porque se reposaron; y él los guía al término de su voluntad.
And they were joyful that it was stilled, and he led them into the haven that they desired.
31 Alaben al SEÑOR por su misericordia, y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres.
Let his mercies confess to the Lord, and let his miracles confess to the sons of men.
32 Y ensálcenlo en la congregación del pueblo; y en la reunión de ancianos lo alaben.
And let them exalt him in the Church of the people, and praise him in the chair of the elders.
33 El puso los ríos en desierto, y los manaderos de las aguas en sed;
He has placed rivers in the desert and sources of water in dry places,
34 la tierra fructífera en salados; por la maldad de los que la habitan.
a fruit-bearing land in the midst of brine, before the malice of those who dwell in it.
35 Vuelve el desierto en estanques de aguas, y la tierra desierta en manaderos de agua.
He has placed a desert in the midst of pools of waters, and a land without water in the midst of sources of water.
36 Y aposenta allí hambrientos, y aderezan allí ciudad para habitación;
And he has gathered the hungry together there, and they constructed a city of habitation.
37 y siembran campos, y plantan viñas; y rinden fruto de aumento.
And they sowed fields and planted vineyards, and they produced the fruit of nativity.
38 Y los bendice, y se multiplican en gran manera; y no disminuye sus bestias.
And he blessed them, and they were multiplied exceedingly. And he did not diminish their beasts of burden.
39 Y después son menoscabados, y abatidos de tiranía; de males y congojas.
And they became few, and they were afflicted by the tribulation of evils and of sorrow.
40 El derrama menosprecio sobre los príncipes, y les hace andar errados, vagabundos, sin camino.
Contempt was poured over their leaders, and he caused them to wander in an impassable place, and not on the way.
41 Y levanta al pobre de la pobreza, y vuelve las familias como ovejas.
And he helped the poor out of destitution, and he stationed families like sheep.
42 Vean los rectos, y alégrense; y toda maldad cierre su boca.
The upright will see, and they will rejoice. And every iniquity will block its mouth.
43 ¿Quién es sabio y guardará estas cosas, y entenderá las misericordias del SEÑOR?
Who is wise and will keep these things? And who will understand the mercies of the Lord?
