Proverbios 15
1 La respuesta suave quita la ira; mas la palabra áspera hace subir el furor.
A soft answere putteth away wrath: but grieuous wordes stirre vp anger.
2 La lengua de los sabios adornará la sabiduría; mas la boca de los locos hablará locura.
The tongue of the wise vseth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fooles babbleth out foolishnesse.
3 Los ojos del SEÑOR están en todo lugar, mirando a los malos y a los buenos.
The eyes of the Lord in euery place beholde the euill and the good.
4 La sana lengua es árbol de vida; mas la perversidad en ella es una brecha en el espíritu.
A wholesome tongue is as a tree of life: but the frowardnes therof is the breaking of ye minde.
5 El loco menosprecia el castigo de su padre; mas el que guarda la corrección, saldrá cuerdo.
A foole despiseth his fathers instruction: but he that regardeth correction, is prudent.
6 En la casa del justo hay gran provisión; pero turbación en los frutos del impío.
The house of the righteous hath much treasure: but in the reuenues of the wicked is trouble.
7 Los labios de los sabios esparcen sabiduría; mas no así el corazón de los locos.
The lippes of the wise doe spread abroade knowledge: but ye heart of the foolish doth not so.
8 El sacrificio de los impíos es abominación al SEÑOR; mas la oración de los rectos es su gozo.
The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the righteous is acceptable vnto him.
9 Abominación es al SEÑOR el camino del impío; mas él ama al que sigue justicia.
The way of the wicked is an abomination vnto the Lord: but he loueth him that followeth righteousnes.
10 El castigo es molesto al que deja el camino; mas el que aborreciere la corrección, morirá.
Instruction is euill to him that forsaketh the way, and he that hateth correction, shall die.
11 El infierno y la perdición están delante del SEÑOR; ¡cuánto más los corazones de los hombres! (Sheol h7585)
Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more the hearts of the sonnes of men? (Sheol h7585)
12 El burlador no ama al que le corrige; ni se allega a los sabios.
A scorner loueth not him that rebuketh him, neither will he goe vnto the wise.
13 El corazón alegre hermosea el rostro; mas por el dolor de corazón el espíritu se abate.
A ioyfull heart maketh a chearefull countenance: but by the sorow of the heart the minde is heauie.
14 El corazón entendido busca la sabiduría; mas la boca de los locos pace locura.
The heart of him that hath vnderstanding, seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of the foole is fedde with foolishnes.
15 Todos los días del pobre son trabajosos; mas el de buen corazón tiene un convite continuo.
All the dayes of the afflicted are euill: but a good conscience is a continuall feast.
16 Mejor es lo poco con el temor del SEÑOR, que el gran tesoro donde hay turbación.
Better is a litle with the feare of the Lord, then great treasure, and trouble therewith.
17 Mejor es la comida de legumbres donde hay amor, que de buey engordado donde hay odio.
Better is a dinner of greene herbes where loue is, then a stalled oxe and hatred therewith.
18 El hombre iracundo revolverá contiendas; mas el que tarde se enoja, apaciguará la rencilla.
An angrie man stirreth vp strife: but hee that is slowe to wrath, appeaseth strife.
19 El camino del perezoso es como seto de espinos; mas la vereda de los rectos como una calzada.
The way of a slouthfull man is as an hedge of thornes: but the way of the righteous is plaine.
20 El hijo sabio alegra al padre; mas el hombre loco menosprecia a su madre.
A wise sonne reioyceth the father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
21 La locura es alegría al falto de entendimiento; mas el hombre entendido enderezará su caminar.
Foolishnes is ioy to him that is destitute of vnderstanding: but a man of vnderstanding walketh vprightly.
22 Los pensamientos son frustrados donde no hay consejo; mas en la multitud de consejeros se afirman.
Without cousel thoughts come to nought: but in the multitude of counsellers there is stedfastnesse.
23 El hombre se alegra con la respuesta de su boca; y la palabra a su tiempo, ¡cuán buena es!
A ioy commeth to a man by the answere of his mouth: and how good is a word in due season?
24 El camino de la vida es cuesta arriba al entendido, para apartarse del infierno abajo. (Sheol h7585)
The way of life is on high to the prudent, to auoyde from hell beneath. (Sheol h7585)
25 El SEÑOR asolará la casa de los soberbios; mas él afirmará la heredad de la viuda.
The Lord will destroye the house of the proude men: but hee will stablish the borders of the widowe.
26 Abominación son al SEÑOR los pensamientos del malo; mas el hablar de los limpios es limpio.
The thoughts of ye wicked are abomination to the Lord: but the pure haue pleasant wordes.
27 Alborota su casa el codicioso; mas el que aborrece las dádivas vivirá.
He that is greedie of gaine, troubleth his owne house: but he that hateth giftes, shall liue.
28 El corazón del justo piensa para responder; mas la boca de los impíos derrama malas cosas.
The heart of the righteous studieth to answere: but the wicked mans mouth babbleth euil thinges.
29 Lejos está el SEÑOR de los impíos; mas él oye la oración de los justos.
The Lord is farre off from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
30 La luz de los ojos alegra el corazón; y la buena fama engorda los huesos.
The light of the eyes reioyceth the heart, and a good name maketh the bones fat.
31 La oreja que escucha la corrección de vida, entre los sabios morará.
The eare that hearkeneth to the correction of life, shall lodge among the wise.
32 El que tiene en poco el castigo, menosprecia su alma; mas el que escucha la corrección, tiene corazón entendido.
Hee that refuseth instruction, despiseth his owne soule: but he that obeyeth correction, getteth vnderstanding.
33 El temor del SEÑOR es enseñanza de sabiduría; y delante de la honra está la humildad.
The feare of the Lord is the instruction of wisdome: and before honour, goeth humilitie.
