Números 13
1 Y el SEÑOR habló a Moisés, diciendo:
And he spoke Yahweh to Moses saying.
2 Envía tú hombres que reconozcan la tierra de Canaán, la cual yo doy a los hijos de Israel; de cada tribu de sus padres enviaréis un varón, cada uno príncipe entre ellos.
Send for yourself men so they may spy out [the] land of Canaan which I [am] about to give to [the] people of Israel a man one a man one for [the] tribe of ancestors his you will send every [one] a leader among them.
3 Y Moisés los envío desde el desierto de Parán, conforme a la palabra del SEÑOR; y todos aquellos varones eran príncipes de los hijos de Israel.
And he sent them Moses from [the] wilderness of Paran on [the] mouth of Yahweh all of them [were] men [who were] [the] heads of [the] people of Israel they.
4 Los nombres de los cuales son éstos: De la tribu de Rubén, Samúa hijo de Zacur.
And these [are] names their for [the] tribe of Reuben Shammua [the] son of Zaccur.
5 De la tribu de Simeón, Safat hijo de Horí.
For [the] tribe of Simeon Shaphat [the] son of Hori.
6 De la tribu de Judá, Caleb hijo de Jefone.
For [the] tribe of Judah Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh.
7 De la tribu de Isacar, Igal hijo de José.
For [the] tribe of Issachar Igal [the] son of Joseph.
8 De la tribu de Efraín, Oseas hijo de Nun.
For [the] tribe of Ephraim Hoshea [the] son of Nun.
9 De la tribu de Benjamín, Palti hijo de Rafú.
For [the] tribe of Benjamin Palti [the] son of Raphu.
10 De la tribu de Zabulón, Gadiel hijo de Sodi.
For [the] tribe of Zebulun Gaddiel [the] son of Sodi.
11 De la tribu de José, de la tribu de Manasés, Gadi hijo de Susi.
For [the] tribe of Joseph for [the] tribe of Manasseh Gaddi [the] son of Susi.
12 De la tribu de Dan, Amiel hijo de Gemali.
For [the] tribe of Dan Ammiel [the] son of Gemalli.
13 De la tribu de Aser, Setur hijo de Micael.
For [the] tribe of Asher Sethur [the] son of Michael.
14 De la tribu de Neftalí, Nahbi hijo de Vapsi.
For [the] tribe of Naphtali Nahbi [the] son of Vopshi.
15 De la tribu de Gad, Geuel hijo de Maqui.
For [the] tribe of Gad Geuel [the] son of Maki.
16 Estos son los nombres de los varones que Moisés envió a reconocer la tierra; y a Oseas hijo de Nun, le puso Moisés el nombre de Josué.
These [are] [the] names of the men whom he sent Moses to spy out the land and he called Moses Hoshea [the] son of Nun Joshua.
17 Los envió, pues, Moisés a reconocer la tierra de Canaán, diciéndoles: Subid por aquí, por el mediodía, y subid al monte,
And he sent them Moses to spy out [the] land of Canaan and he said to them go up this in the Negev and you will go up the hill country.
18 y observad la tierra qué tal es; y el pueblo que la habita, si es fuerte o débil, si poco o numeroso;
And you will see the land what? [is] it and the people which dwells on it ¿ strong [is] it ¿ feeble ¿ few [is] it or? many.
19 qué tal la tierra habitada, si es buena o mala; y qué tales son las ciudades habitadas, si de tiendas o de fortalezas;
And what? [is] the land which it [is] dwelling in it ¿ good [is] it or? bad and what? [are] the cities which it [is] dwelling in them ¿ in camps or? in fortresses.
20 y cuál sea la tierra, si es fértil o estéril, si en ella hay árboles o no; y esforzaos, y coged del fruto de la tierra. Yel tiempo era el tiempo de las primeras uvas.
And what? [is] the land ¿ fat [is] it or? lean ¿ [is] there in it wood or? not and you will show yourselves strong and you will take some of [the] fruit of the land and the days [were the] days of [the] first-fruits of grapes.
21 Y ellos subieron, y reconocieron la tierra desde el desierto de Zin hasta Rehob, entrando en Hamat.
And they went up and they spied out the land from [the] wilderness of Zin to Rehob Lebo Hamath.
22 Y subieron por el mediodía, y vinieron hasta Hebrón; y allí estaban Ahimán, y Sesai, y Talmai, hijos de Anac. Hebrón fue edificada siete años antes de Zoán, la de Egipto.
And they went up in the Negev and he came to Hebron and [were] there Ahiman Sheshai and Talmai those born of Anak and Hebron seven years it was built before Zoan Egypt.
23 Y llegaron hasta el arroyo de Escol, y de allí cortaron un sarmiento con un racimo de uvas, el cual trajeron dos en una vara, y de las granadas y de los higos.
And they came to [the] wadi of Eshcol and they cut down from there a branch and a cluster of grapes one and they carried it on the pole two and some of the pomegranates and some of the figs.
24 Y se llamó aquel lugar Nahal-escol por el racimo que cortaron de allí los hijos de Israel.
the Place that someone called [the] wadi of Eshcol on [the] causes of the cluster which they cut down from there [the] people of Israel.
25 Y volvieron de reconocer la tierra al fin de cuarenta días.
And they returned from spying out the land from [the] end of forty day[s].
26 Y anduvieron y vinieron a Moisés y a Aarón, y a toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, en el desierto de Parán, en Cades, y les dieron la respuesta, y a toda la congregación, y les mostraron el fruto de la tierra.
And they went and they came to Moses and to Aaron and to all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel to [the] wilderness of Paran Kadesh towards and they brought back them word and all the congregation and they showed them [the] fruit of the land.
27 Y les contaron, y dijeron: Nosotros llegamos a la tierra a la cual nos enviaste, la que ciertamente fluye leche y miel; y éste es el fruto de ella.
And they recounted to him and they said we went into the land which you sent us and also [is] flowing of milk and honey it and this [is] fruit its.
28 Mas el pueblo que habita aquella tierra es fuerte, y las ciudades muy grandes y fuertes; y también vimos allí los hijos de Anac.
Nevertheless for [is] strong the people which dwells in the land and the cities [are] fortified large very and also those born of Anak we saw there.
29 Amalec habita la tierra del mediodía; y el heteo, y el jebuseo, y el amorreo, habitan en el monte; y el cananeo habita junto al mar, y a la ribera del Jordán.
Amalek [is] dwelling in [the] land of the Negev and the Hittite[s] and the Jebusite[s] and the Amorite[s] [is] dwelling in the hill country and the Canaanite[s] [is] dwelling at the sea and on [the] side of the Jordan.
30 Entonces Caleb hizo callar al pueblo delante de Moisés, y dijo: Subamos luego, y poseámosla; que más podremos que ella.
And he silenced Caleb the people to Moses and he said certainly we will go up and we will take possession of it for certainly we will prevail to it.
31 Mas los varones que subieron con él, dijeron: No podremos subir contra aquel pueblo; porque es más fuerte que nosotros.
And the men who they had gone up with him they said not we are able to go up against the people for [is] strong it more than us.
32 Y vituperaron entre los hijos de Israel la tierra que habían reconocido, diciendo: La tierra por donde pasamos para reconocerla, es tierra que traga a sus moradores; y todo el pueblo que vimos en medio de ella, son hombres de gran estatura.
And they brought out bad report of the land which they had spied out it to [the] people of Israel saying the land which we passed in it to spy out it [is] a land [which] devours inhabitants its it and all the people which we saw in [the] midst of it [were] men of stature.
33 También vimos allí gigantes, hijos de Anac, raza de los gigantes: y éramos nosotros, a nuestro parecer, como langostas; y así les parecíamos también a ellos.
And there we saw the Nephilim [the] descendants of Anak [were] from the Nephilim and we were in own eyes our like grasshoppers and thus we were in view their.
