Josué 7
1 Pero los hijos de Israel cometieron prevaricación en el anatema; porque Acán, hijo de Carmi, hijo de Zabdi, hijo de Zera, de la tribu de Judá, tomó del anatema; y la ira del SEÑOR se encendió contra los hijos de Israel.
Forsothe the sones of Israel braken `the comaundement, and mystoken of the halewid thing; for Achar, the son of Charmy, sone of Zabdi, sone of Zare, of the lynage of Juda, toke sum thing of the halewid thing; and the Lord was wrooth ayens the sones of Israel.
2 Y Josué envió hombres desde Jericó a Hai, que estaba junto a Bet-avén hacia el oriente de Bet-el; y les habló diciendo: Subid, y reconoced la tierra. Y ellos subieron, y reconocieron a Hai.
And whanne Josue sente men fro Jerico ayens Hai, which is bisidis Bethauen, at the eest coost of the citee Bethel, he seide to hem, Stie ye, and aspie ye the lond. Whiche filliden `the comaundementis, and aspieden Hay;
3 Y volviendo a Josué, le dijeron: No suba todo el pueblo, mas suban como dos mil o como tres mil hombres, y tomarán a Hai; no fatigues a todo el pueblo yendo allí, porque son pocos.
and thei turneden ayen, and seiden to hym, `Not al the puple stie, but twey ether thre thousynde of men go, and do awei the citee; whi schal al the puple be trauelid in veyn ayens feweste enemyes?
4 Y subieron allá del pueblo como tres mil hombres, los cuales huyeron delante de los de Hai.
Therfor thre thousynde of fiyteris stieden, whiche turneden the backis anoon,
5 Y los de Hai hirieron de ellos como treinta y seis hombres, y los siguieron desde la puerta hasta Sebarim, y los mataron en una bajada; por lo que se disolvió el corazón del pueblo, y vino a ser como agua.
and weren smytun of the men of Hay; and sixe and thretti men of hem `felden doun; and aduersaries pursueden hem fro the yate til to Saberym; and thei felden doun fleynge bi lowe places. And the herte of the puple dredde, and was maad vnstidefast at the licnesse of watir.
6 Entonces Josué rompió sus vestidos, y se postró en tierra sobre su rostro delante del arca del SEÑOR hasta la tarde, él y los ancianos de Israel; echando polvo sobre sus cabezas.
Sotheli Josue torente hise clothis, and felde lowe to the erthe bifor the arke of the Lord, `til to euentid, as wel he, as alle the elde men of Israel; and thei castiden powdir on her heedis.
7 Y Josué dijo: ¡Ah, Señor DIOS! ¿Por qué hiciste pasar a este pueblo el Jordán, para entregarnos en las manos de los amorreos, que nos destruyan? ¡Mejor nos hubiéramos quedado al otro lado del Jordán!
And Josue seide, Alas! alas! Lord God, what woldist thou lede this puple ouer the flood Jordan, that thou schuldist bitake vs in the hond of Ammorrey, and schulde leese vs? Y wolde, that as we bygunnen, we hadden dwellid biyondis Jordan.
8 ¡Ay Señor! ¿qué diré, ya que Israel ha vuelto las espaldas delante de sus enemigos?
My Lord God, what schal Y seie, seynge Israel turnynge the backis to hise enemyes?
9 Porque los cananeos y todos los moradores de la tierra oirán, y nos cercarán, y raerán nuestro nombre de sobre la tierra; entonces ¿qué harás tú a tu grande Nombre?
Cananeys, and alle dwelleris of the lond schulen here, and thei schulen be gaderid togidere, and schulen cumpas vs, and schulen do awei oure name fro erthe; and what schalt thou do to thi grete name?
10 Y el SEÑOR dijo a Josué: Levántate; ¿por qué te postras así sobre tu rostro?
And the Lord seide to Josue, Rise thou; whi liggist thou low in the erthe?
11 Israel ha pecado, y aun han quebrantado mi pacto que yo les había mandado; pues aun han tomado del anatema, y hasta han hurtado, y también han mentido, y aun lo han guardado en sus vasos.
Israel synnede, and brak my couenaunt; and thei token of the halewid thing, and thei han stole, and lieden, and hidden among her vessels.
12 Por esto los hijos de Israel no podrán estar delante de sus enemigos, sino que delante de sus enemigos volverán las espaldas; por cuanto han estado en el anatema; ni estaré más con vosotros, si no destruyereis el anatema de en medio de vosotros.
And Israel may not stonde bifore hise enemyes, and Israel schal fle hem, for it is defoulid with cursyng; Y schal no more be with you, til ye al to breke hym which is gilti of this trespas.
13 Levántate, santifica al pueblo, y di: Santificaos para mañana, porque el SEÑOR el Dios de Israel dice así: Anatema hay en medio de ti, Israel; no podrás estar delante de tus enemigos, hasta tanto que hayáis quitado el anatema de en medio de vosotros.
Rise thou, halewe the puple, and seie thou to hem, Be ye halewid ayens to morewe; for the Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, A! Israel! cursyng is in the myddis of thee; thou schalt not mowe stonde bifor thin enemyes, til he that is defoulyd bi this trespas, be doon awei fro thee.
14 Os acercaréis, pues, mañana por vuestras tribus; y la tribu que el SEÑOR tomare, se acercará por sus familias; y la familia que el SEÑOR tomare, se acercará por sus casas; y la casa que el SEÑOR tomare, se acercará por los varones;
And ye schulen come eerli, alle men bi youre lynagis; and whateuer lynage the lot schal fynde, it schal come bi hise meynees; and the meynee schal come bi housis, and the hous schal come bi men.
15 y el que fuere cogido en el anatema, será quemado a fuego, él y todo lo que tiene, por cuanto ha quebrantado el pacto del SEÑOR, y ha cometido maldad en Israel.
And whoeuer schal be takun with this trespas, he schal be brent bi fier with al his catel, for he brak the couenaunt of the Lord, and dide vnleueful thing in Israel.
16 Josué, pues, levantándose de mañana, hizo acercar a Israel por sus tribus; y fue tomada la tribu de Judá;
Therfor Josue roos eerly, and settide in ordre Israel, bi hise lynagis; and the lynage of Juda was foundun;
17 y haciendo acercar la tribu de Judá, fue tomada la familia de los de Zera; haciendo luego acercar la familia de los de Zera por los varones, fue tomado Zabdi;
and whanne that lynage was brouyt forth bi hise meynees, the meyne of Zare was foundun. And Josue brouyte forth it bi men, ethir housis, and foond Zabdi;
18 e hizo acercar su casa por los varones, y fue tomado Acán, hijo de Carmi, hijo de Zabdi, hijo de Zera, de la tribu de Judá.
whos hows he departide in to alle men bi hemsilf; and he foond Achar, the sone of Charmy, sone of Zabdi, sone of Zare, of the lynage of Juda.
19 Entonces Josué dijo a Acán: Hijo mío, da ahora gloria al SEÑOR el Dios de Israel, y dale alabanza, y declárame ahora lo que has hecho; no me lo encubras.
And he seide to Achar, My sone, yyue thou glorie to the Lord God of Israel, and knowleche thou, and schew to me what thou hast do; hide thou not.
20 Y Acán respondió a Josué, diciendo: Verdaderamente yo he pecado contra el SEÑOR el Dios de Israel, y he hecho así y así.
And Achar answeryde to Josue, and seide to hym, Verily, Y synnede bifor the Lord God of Israel, and Y dide `so and so;
21 Que vi entre los despojos un manto babilónico muy bueno, y doscientos siclos de plata, y un lingote de oro de peso de cincuenta siclos; lo cual codicié, y tomé; y he aquí que está escondido debajo de tierra en el medio de mi tienda, y el dinero debajo de ello.
for among the spuylis Y siy a reed mentil ful good, and two hundrid siclis of siluer, and a goldun reule of fifti siclis; and Y coueytide, and took awei, and hidde in the erthe, ayens the myddis of my tabernacle; and Y hilide the siluer with erthe doluun.
22 Josué entonces envió mensajeros, los cuales fueron corriendo a la tienda; y he aquí que todo estaba escondido en su tienda, y el dinero debajo de ello.
Therfor Josue sente mynystris, whyche runnen to his tabernacle, and foundun alle thingis hid in the same place, and the siluer togidere; and thei token awei fro the tente,
23 Y tomándolo de en medio de la tienda, lo trajeron a Josué y a todos los hijos de Israel, y lo pusieron delante del SEÑOR.
and brouyten `tho thingis to Josue, and to alle the sones of Israel; and thei castiden forth bifor the Lord.
24 Entonces Josué, y todo Israel con él, tomó a Acán hijo de Zera, y el dinero, y el manto, y el lingote de oro, y sus hijos, y sus hijas, y sus bueyes y sus asnos, y sus ovejas, y su tienda, y todo cuanto tenía, y lo llevaron todo al valle de Acor;
Therfor Josue took Achar, the sone of Zare, and the siluer, and the mentil, and the goldun reule, and hise sones, and douytris, oxun, assis, and scheep, and the tabernacle `it silf, and al the purtenaunce of household, and al Israel with Josue; and thei ledden hem to the valei of Achar;
25 y dijo Josué: ¿Por qué nos has turbado? Túrbete el SEÑOR en este día. Y todos los israelitas los apedrearon, y los quemaron a fuego, después de apedrearlos con piedras;
where Josue seide, For thou disturblidist vs, the Lord schal disturble thee in this dai. And al Israel stonyde hym; and alle thingis that weren hise, weren wastid bi fier.
26 y levantaron sobre ellos un gran montón de piedras, hasta hoy. Y el SEÑOR se tornó de la ira de su furor. Y por esto fue llamado aquel lugar el Valle de Acor, hasta hoy.
And thei gaderiden on hym a greet heep of stoonys, whiche dwellen til in to present day. And the strong veniaunce of the Lord was turned awei fro hem; and the name of that place was clepid the valey of Achar `til to day.
